This role plays a critical part in supporting attorneys through all stages of complex litigation, from case intake and discovery through trial preparation. The position combines strong legal knowledge, organization, and client communication to help ensure cases move forward efficiently while maintaining a high level of service for clients.

Key Responsibilities of the Paralegal:

• Provide comprehensive litigation support for medical malpractice and personal injury cases.
• Draft, prepare, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Coordinate the request, review, and organization of medical records and billing documentation.
• Maintain case files, litigation calendars, and track important court deadlines.
• Assist attorneys with discovery management, including interrogatories and document production.
• Prepare case materials, exhibits, and documentation for hearings, depositions, and trial.
• Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, experts, and court personnel.
• Organize and maintain detailed case documentation to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Support attorneys with legal research and general case preparation.

Qualifications of the Paralegal:

• Paralegal certificate or degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of litigation experience, ideally within medical malpractice or personal injury.
• Experience in requesting and reviewing medical records and medical billing documentation.
• Familiarity with state and federal court filing procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple active cases simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with legal case management systems and Microsoft Office.

The Opportunity

As a dedicated Property Adjuster Specialist, you will work within defined guidelines and framework, investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle complex property insurance claims. Property Adjuster Specialist focus on using technology and desk adjusting for a virtual first approach to inspections and claims handling. USAA also provides a company vehicle to physically inspect losses within your locally assigned territory. Field Adjusters may travel outside of their local territory to respond to claims in other regions when needed. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with paid overtime available.

What you'll do:

• Proactively manages assigned claims caseload comprised of complex damages that require commensurate knowledge and understanding of claims coverage including potential legal liability.

• Partners with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate complex claims resolution. May also involve external regulatory coordination to ensure appropriate documentation and compliance.

• Investigates claim damages by conducting research from various sources, including the insured, third parties, and external resources. May identify and resolve potential discrepancies and identifies subrogation potential resulting from unusual characteristics.

• Identifies coverage concerns, reviews prior loss history, determines and creates Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals, when appropriate. Determines coverage through analyzing information involving complex policy terms and contingencies.

• Determines and negotiates complex claims settlement within authority limits. Develops recommendations and collaborates with management for determining settlement amounts outside of authority limits and accurately manages claims outcomes.

• Maintains accurate, thorough, and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process.

• Advance knowledge of estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools. Utilizes platforms and tools to prepare claims estimates to manage complex property insurance claims.

• Supports workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, including mandatory on-call dates and potential evening, weekend, and/or holiday work outside normal work hours.

• May be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs.

• Works various types of claims, including ones of higher complexity, and may be assigned additional work outside normal duties as needed.

• Works independently solving complex problems with minimal guidance; acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

• Adjusts complex claims with attorney involvement.

• Recognizes and addresses jurisdictional challenges such as applicable legislation and construction considerations.

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and model validation techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

The Clinical Affairs Manager will provide clinical expertise, insight, and support to clinical end-users, clinical sales specialists, sales team, Regulatory, Engineering, marketing, and other corporate departments on safe and effective use of the Teleflex Medical product portfolio with primary emphasis on the Coronary/Structural Heart franchise. This position will support the appropriate clinical application of the Coronary/Structural Heart franchise via didactic, web-based, and teleconference education, and understanding of these products and best practices. Manage utilization of HCPs in accordance with Teleflex IPPs. Coordinate efforts between cross-functional partners, including Medical Affairs, Global Research & Scientific Services, marketing, and R&D. Coordinate, participate, and manage educational, scientific activities at identified local, regional, and national trade shows/exhibitions. Serve as part of the CMA clinical expert team on product applications and troubleshooting when interfacing with SBU Leadership, Clinical Sales Specialists, and Teleflex team members. Participate as a clinical expert on project teams, committees, and in meetings with various corporate departments to provide guidance as to the clinical perspectives for the Coronary/Structural franchise. Build and support infrastructure for speaker programs supporting Teleflex Academy, webinars, training content, and programs. Coordinate and participate in content development and review of education material as needed by IA BU or CMA. Manage all business-associated administrative tasks and responsibilities to support job-related activities, to include strict adherence to the Teleflex Medical T&E policies and procedures, timely filing of required and/or requested reports, and documentation of activities via approved documents and forms. Adhere to applicable Teleflex IPPs, Teleflex Code of Ethics, and all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in clinical, biology, health sciences, or engineering. Procedural experience within Interventional Cardiology and/or Structural Heart Possess a minimum of five years' clinical exposure in the medical field in the Cardiology environment. Medical Device industry supporting Clinical and Medical Affairs, strongly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; SalesForce experience preferred.

• Preferred three to five (3 to 5) years of experience in implementing and managing Windows and Open Systems server infrastructure hybrid cloud solutions in an enterprise environment; healthcare experience preferred.
• Highly experienced information systems professional with a strong technical background and proven track record of accomplishments in a large, complex multi-level organization .
• Strong technical knowledge of VMWare ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V.
