The Department of Public Safety protects and serves the Creighton community through proactive patrolling, rapid response, community outreach, security technology, and safe parking and transportation options. Our team includes 3 shift managers, 3 lead officers, 3 senior officers, 15 officers, 3 full-time dispatchers, and 3 part-time dispatchers. Public Safety has primary responsibility for security enforcement, emergency management, campus safety, and parking enforcement on Creighton University's Omaha Campus.



The Public Safety Dispatcher manages a communications center to enable the protection of Creighton University's Omaha Campus, including people, facilities, and property. A successful dispatcher candidate will demonstrate absolute integrity, a willingness to relate to all members of the Creighton community, a desire to help others, and the ability to exercise good judgment under pressure. Public Safety dispatchers receive calls for assistance and information and dispatch Public Safety officers to emergency and non-emergency calls for services, including safety and security incidents, medical aid, and fire alarms. Dispatchers monitor and operate multiple video surveillance, access control, and alarm systems. Dispatchers also track calls and activities and maintain a log of incidents occurring during their assigned shifts. Dispatcher must have excellent communication skills, remain calm under stressful emergency situations, and be able to think clearly and act quickly. Due to the nature of the role, the ability to multitask is crucial. The dispatcher position is a lifeline position to callers and officers. The ability to creatively solve problems and find resolutions to questions, problems, and concerns is imperative. The ability to quickly develop a strong working knowledge of Creighton's community, campus geography, policies, procedures, and stakeholders will be essential.





  • Answers telephone and radio calls, then notifies appropriate stakeholders of information.

  • Dispatches officers to emergency and non-emergency calls for services, including safety and security incidents, medical aid, and fire alarms in accordance with established procedures.

This is a day position working primarily Monday - Friday, on campus. The Support Staff will begin as an integral part of the College of Arts & Sciences accreditation process, beginning with the Social Work program, in achieving its mission through supporting the education of future social workers, connecting with alumni, and maintaining a collaborative reputation with community partners. The Social Work Program is accredited by CSWE (Council on Social Work Education), so being familiar with these standards is preferred, as well as willing to build effective processes in collaboration with faculty. Hospitality and congeniality are important in all interactions with the broad range of stakeholders connected with the Social Work Program.

The Clinical Affairs Manager will provide clinical expertise, insight, and support to clinical end-users, clinical sales specialists, sales team, Regulatory, Engineering, marketing, and other corporate departments on safe and effective use of the Teleflex Medical product portfolio with primary emphasis on the Coronary/Structural Heart franchise. This position will support the appropriate clinical application of the Coronary/Structural Heart franchise via didactic, web-based, and teleconference education, and understanding of these products and best practices. Clinical support will be provided to physicians, nurses, techs, etc., to include support for live cases/proctorships in the therapeutic areas related to focus products. The Clinical Affairs Manager will drive innovation by identifying product attributes necessary to expand into new markets, or capitalize on new clinical applications; identify new, clinically driven product and market opportunities; and perform other related duties as required. Provide support during society engagements, facilitating the exchange of scientific information in close collaboration with CMA leadership and the broader clinical affairs interventional team.

The Engineer, Compute System Engineering is responsible for the implementation and support of compute based infrastructure, including public, private and hybrid cloud deployment models to support critical healthcare operations across The Guthrie Clinic (TGC). Technology functions include cloud computing, database, storage, data protection, virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure, server automation, monitoring and application delivery.

Experience:

  • Preferred three to five (3 to 5) years of experience in implementing and managing Windows and Open Systems server infrastructure hybrid cloud solutions in an enterprise environment; healthcare experience preferred.
