About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead industrial capital equipment installations, plant upgrades, and infrastructure projects within manufacturing environments.

This role combines technical engineering knowledge, project leadership, and field execution oversight. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects while working directly with client personnel, contractors, and internal engineering teams.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable operating in active industrial facilities while managing multiple project priorities. The position requires technical understanding, field presence, and hands-on involvement with project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of capital equipment installations and plant modification projects
• Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets
• Coordinate internal engineering resources and external contractors
• Review and develop equipment layouts, drawings, and technical documentation
• Support or perform technical engineering tasks as needed within projects
• Perform field walkdowns, site verification, and installation coordination
• Manage construction activities and ensure safe installation practices
• Coordinate with plant operations, maintenance, and engineering personnel
• Track project progress, costs, and schedule performance
• Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve field issues
• Lead project meetings and communicate status to clients and stakeholders
• Support equipment startup, commissioning, and project closeout activities
• Support proposal development, estimating, and new project opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Civil/Structural preferred)
• 5+ years of experience managing engineering or capital projects in industrial or manufacturing environments
• Strong communication skills and professional client-facing presence
• Experience coordinating contractors and multidisciplinary project teams
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Working knowledge of project scheduling tools (MS Project or similar)
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks preferred
• Have or on track to obtain PE or PMP is a bonus
• Ability to work in active industrial environments

Compensation Details

Technical Skills and Experience

• Hand-on experience with programming in C/C++ and Go.
  
• Strong background in building scalable software systems for multi-cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-premise environments.
  
• Experience with cryptographic libraries and frameworks.
  
• Experience integrating with external systems using APIs for push-based (webhooks, pub/sub, streaming) and pull-based (polling, REST/RPC/gRPC) data exchange.
  
• Strong knowledge of event-driven and message-oriented architectures, using tools such as Kafka, cloud-native pub/sub systems or similar.
  
• Familiarity with containerization (docker, podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for deployment and scaling in distributed environments.
  
• Experience with deep cryptographic object inspection, secure protocol implementation (TLS, PKI, key management), and certificate validation a big plus.
  
• Experience with static analysis tools and techniques, including parsing, bytecode analysis, and vulnerability detection a big plus.
  
• Exposure to endpoint agents, scanning tools, and security integrations a big plus.

The ASM International Journals Department seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Journals Administrator to provide editorial and organizational support to our publishing team. This role provides essential administrative support to our journal editors and associate editors, coordinates volunteer activities, and assists content developers in the production of the 9 ASM technical journals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide editorial and administrative support in the acquisition, tracking, and processing of content for publications developed by the Content Development group for the ASM technical journals.
• Answer queries from ASM staff, member technical editorial staff, reviewers, and authors on editorial philosophy, policy, and style. Implement improvements and updates to online submission and peer review sites.
• Provide updated content for ASM journal web pages on an ongoing basis. Prepare highlight copy for selected journal articles for eNews and magazine supplements.
• Assist with meeting preparation and follow-up for activities of journal committees and editorial boards.
• Organize and oversee the archive print copies of the ASM journals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience, preferably in academic publishing, scientific research environments, or scholarly communications is helpful, but not necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems.
