1. A four-year Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer I who is eager to build technical depth, grow within a structured service organization, and gain hands-on experience with complex automation systems. This is an entry-level role designed for someone with foundational technical experience who wants to develop into a subject matter expert over time.

You will initially focus on SYNEO equipment, with immediate cross-training on Glebar systems and exposure to other MMT equipment platforms. The long-term expectation is that you will become a technical expert on SYNEO equipment while broadening your skill set across additional brands.

What You'll Do

Technical Support & Field Service

  • Serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting basic equipment issues.
  • Perform installation, routine maintenance, and repairs on designated automation systems.
  • Assist with field modifications, upgrades, and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers while actively participating in the resolution process.
  • Provide "eyes on" support and equipment health checks across multiple MMT platforms.

Technical Learning & Development

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and basic GD&T.
  • Work alongside senior engineers to build troubleshooting capability.
  • Gain exposure to capital equipment used in regulated medical device manufacturing environments.
  • Participate in hands-on cross-training across supported brands.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate service logs and customer interaction records.
  • Complete repair documentation and case notes in accordance with company standards.
  • Follow safety and regulatory requirements, including Occupational Safety and Health Act, Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act guidelines as applicable.
  • Properly maintain tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing instruments.

What You Bring

  • Foundational troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and basic control systems.
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and understand basic GD&T principles.
  • Familiarity with measuring and inspection tools such as micrometers and CMM equipment.
  • Basic understanding of machining processes including grinding, milling, and turning.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Strong time management and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear and professional communication skills with customers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering Technology, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 1–4 years of experience in field service, equipment assembly, or applications support.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays.

The Senior Commercial Estimator leads the preconstruction estimating process for complex and large‐scale commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for developing highly accurate cost estimates, managing subcontractor relationships, guiding junior estimators, and ensuring competitive, profitable bids that align with organizational goals. The Senior Estimator plays a key strategic role in preconstruction planning, value engineering, and project acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of detailed conceptual, schematic, and final cost estimates for major commercial projects.
  • Analyze plans, specifications, and project documents to assess scope requirements and identify cost‐related risks and opportunities.
  • Conduct full quantity takeoffs for structural, architectural, civil, interiors, and MEP disciplines.
  • Manage the full bidding process, including pre-bid meetings, subcontractor outreach, bid leveling, and final proposal development.
  • Review and validate junior estimators' takeoffs, assumptions, and preliminary estimates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, clarifications, inclusions/exclusions, and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with project executives, project managers, architects, engineers, and owners during preconstruction phases.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for value engineering, scope management, and alternative systems or materials.
  • Maintain knowledge of market conditions, labor trends, material pricing, and construction technologies.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and assist with project handoff once awarded.
  • Ensure all estimates follow company standards, procedures, and accuracy benchmarks.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Mastery of commercial construction methods, materials, and cost structures.
  • Ability to read and interpret highly complex drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.
  • Advanced proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, OST, Sage, Procore).
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem‐solving abilities.
  • Expertise in subcontractor negotiation and bid evaluation.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure during high‐volume bid cycles.
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
  • 7–15+ years of commercial estimating experience.
  • Proven success estimating large‐scale or complex commercial projects (e.g., high‐rise, healthcare, hospitality, retail, industrial).
  • Prior experience leading estimating teams is highly preferred.
