Competitive Compensation: Up to $39/hr (DOE) Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting the 1st of the month Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Coverage 401(k) Retirement Plan Generous PTO: 3 weeks PTO, 2 floating holidays, plus 10 paid company holidays Career Growth: Clear path for advancement within a growing organization Industry Impact: Work alongside a skilled team supporting major defense and shipbuilding programs including Electric Boat and Newport News Shipbuilding Job Details Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce precision components to spec Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to ensure accurate part production Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges Identify and troubleshoot issues with tooling, fixturing, and machining processes to minimize downtime Follow all quality and safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and other machinists to meet production goals and deadlines Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications Working knowledge of G-code and basic machine offsets Experience using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauges Strong attention to detail with the ability to hold tight tolerances consistently Familiarity with quality and safety standards in a manufacturing environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting Interested in hearing more?
