This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working with construction drawings, and building specialized expertise in the modular construction industry.

Position Details As a Level 1 Trauma Center we see any and all trauma patients in the surrounding area.

We primarily see blunt force trauma patients (falls, motorcycle/motor vehicle accidents) as well as the occasional penetrating trauma (gun shot, stabbings, or impalements).

In the Surgical ICU we see any patient requiring ICU level of care after a surgical procedure; the exception is cardiac surgery and neurosurgery.

Trauma ICU is a 14 bed unit consisting of all private rooms and the Surgical ICU is an 8 bed unit consisting of all private rooms.

Both units are in different locations, but as a member of our team you can work on either unit helping to expand your clinical knowledge base with critically injured and critically ill patients.

Schedule is .9 FTE (36 hours)/Straight Nights.

Unit Description BP6 is a 28 bed Medical-Surgical Remote Telemetry unit that includes a diversity of services including General Surgery, Bariatric, ENT, Urology, Gynecology, Plastic Surgery, and Trauma Surgery.

We have many resources on our unit including a pharmacist, care manager/social worker, and scheduler to support unit-based needs.

In addition, we have a wound ostomy team and an IV team available throughout the hospital for added support.

Team members have the benefit of a shared schedule in which we partner together to complete a final schedule based on unit needs.

Job Duties While performing all aspects of the Registered Nurse Inpatient position of providing treatment and care to the specific age of patients served, this position will assess the developmental needs for staff and will plan, organize, perform, and creates educational programs or in-services to address those needs.

Coordinates patient care and interaction of staff.

Serves as primary support and resource for staff and patients and assists in serving as unit trainer andpreceptor in collaboration with others.

Responsible for ensuring the very best patient and family experience by optimizing all customer interaction.

Performs all aspects of the Registered Nurse Inpatient position providing treatment and care to the age of patients served.

Collaborate in the development of innovated educational materials for staff to support in-services presented to staff, by serving as the orientee's mentor, coach, and preceptor, completing of new orientees' orientation paperwork, reviewing orientees progress weekly with Registered Nurse Clinical Team Coordinator.

Identifies developmental needs for staff and communicates information to the Nursing Professional Development Generalist or Specialist, Registered Nurse Clinical Team Coordinator, and Operations Manager.

Submits necessary documentation to Operations Manager, of performance in the Career Enhancement Program as part of the Career Enhancement Program application process, and annually, prior to performance evaluation.
