The Position

The EHS Manager is a champion of safety culture, responsible for developing and implementing programs that ensure compliance with the Heico EHS management system, regulatory requirements, and the site’s strategic goals. Reporting to the Facility VP/GM, this visible role requires a strong presence on the production floor and close collaboration with employees, supervisors, managers, and corporate/regional EHS teams. The role may also be overseeing the work of staff, hourly employees, or external consultants.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Promote a proactive safety culture by training managers and employees in safe work practices, fire prevention, chemical/material handling, and emergency response.
• Serves as a visible leader on the production floor, conducting inspections, identifying risks, and ensuring timely corrective or preventative actions.
• Plans and implements training programs for managers and employees on safe work practices, fire prevention, and proper handling of materials.
• Guides management and supervisors in accident investigations and partnering with HR on workers’ compensation, hearings, and insurance cases.
• Manages environmental compliance, including waste stream management (RCRA/DOT), manifests, labeling, and wastewater treatment operations.
• Ensures that all waste is stored in compliance with RCRA and other relevant regulations.
• Conducts environmental and safety inspections and determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
• Completes and submits all environmental reports required by various agencies.
• Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Prepares studies and analyses of industrial accident causes and hazards to health for use by company personnel and outside agencies.
• Compiles and submits accident reports required by company and regulatory agencies.
• Oversees the administration of workers' compensation program, including working with the insurance carrier to eliminate employee industrial accidents, working in tandem with the Human Resources department.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of industrial EHS experience including at least 5 years’ management level EHS experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in engineering, safety, environmental or related science
• Strong working knowledge of applicable EHS laws and regulations, state, local, and federal

• Lead business reviews with C-suite stakeholders to ensure alignment, retention, and customer satisfaction.

Sales Execution & Team Collaboration

• Meet or exceed sales targets through new business acquisition, upselling, and cross-selling across the assigned territory.
• Mentor and guide junior account managers and clinical specialists, providing leadership, coaching, and development support.
• Actively participate in recruiting new field team members, including interviewing candidates and supporting hiring decisions to build and maintain a high-performing team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including clinical specialists, marketing, R&D, and technical experts—to drive product education, adoption, and seamless execution.
• Lead contract negotiations and pricing strategies, ensuring compliance and alignment with profitability goals.
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to optimize product availability, logistics, and order fulfillment.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights

• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities to refine go-to-market strategies.
• Deliver accurate forecasts, performance metrics, and strategic insights to senior sales leadership to inform decision-making.
• Leverage a deep understanding of healthcare economics, reimbursement models, and the Value Analysis Committee (VAC) process to support product adoption.
• Provide direct feedback to internal product development teams to influence innovation and pipeline priorities.
• Cross-Functional Leadership
• Serve as a strategic voice of the customer, influencing internal decision-making across product development, marketing, and operations.
• Represent Atraverse Medical at industry conferences, symposiums, and thought leadership events to position the company as a leader in left-heart access technologies.
• Drive internal alignment to ensure a seamless and consistent customer experience from initial engagement through long-term partnership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in cardiac electrophysiology, pacing/defibrillation, structural heart, or related medical device industries.
• Proven success in strategic account management with a track record of revenue growth and market share expansion.
• In-depth knowledge of catheterization lab and operating room procedures and protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor team members, and recruit top talent.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and execute at both a strategic and tactical level.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with engineers, technical specialists, vendors, and customers to achieve company objectives.

• Reviews and documents customer requirements and designs products in compliance with stated requirements, focusing on ease of manufacturing with high reliability.
• Develop prototypes, oversee testing/qualification, and ensure compliance with industry and customer performance standards.
• Partner with Manufacturing to address cost reduction, quality improvement, and customer issue resolution.
• Stay current with technological trends and emerging interconnect solutions including power interconnect innovations to guide future product development.
• Checks and/ or approves engineering drawings, parts lists, and test sheets
• Ensures all ECNs are processed efficiently, effectively, and consistently.
• Correspondence with customers and suppliers as needed to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained
  

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in connector and/or cable assembly design and development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and design skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling tools (e.g., Creo) and Product Data Management systems (e.g., Windchill) preferred.
• Proficient in using DFMEA to evaluate and mitigate risks in mechanical assemblies and design analyses.
  

• Develop advanced control systems for robotics, including PLC and HMI applications.
• Integrate components such as drives, barcode readers, and remote sensors into comprehensive systems.
• Employ proficiency in multiple IEC 61131-3 languages for diverse project needs.
• Conduct basic network troubleshooting, focusing on industrial networks like Ethercat, Ethernet/IP, Profibus/Profinet.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy robotics workcells and improve deployment methodologies.

• In-depth experience with PLC and HMI application development.
• Proficiency in multiple IEC 61131-3 languages.
• Understanding of basic network troubleshooting, especially in industrial environments.

• Experience in robotics or automated systems engineering, preferably with a focus on controls systems and integration. A background in deploying or managing machines in large-scale, geographically diverse environments is highly advantageous.
