The Role We Want You For

As a Preconstruction Cost Manager, you will be assisting in the development and management of the project financial strategy within the Preconstruction Phase. You will be working directly with the EVP of Preconstruction and Procurement Strategy, Project Executives and Preconstruction Group in monitoring preconstruction cost spends and developing staff, general conditions and general requirement monitors for our Project pursuits. You will be responsible for generating and maintaining reports that provide information to Preconstruction and Cost Controls leadership, work with the management team to identify variances, risks and maintain quality control processes to improve preconstruction cost procedures and ensuring conformity with management's strategy.

The Specifics of the Role

• Works with all preconstruction disciplines to ensure understanding of preconstruction budget targets.
• Review project documents and specifications to co-develop general conditions, general requirements and preconstruction plans for submission to bid to our clients.
• Update and reporting to management current preconstruction staff spend including project costs which are reimbursable to our clients under a preconstruction agreement.
• Works closely with the accounting department to ensure the correct integration of all information needed to ensure accuracy in billings, payment applications, change orders, direct cost, etc.
• Works closely with the project management team, executive management personnel, subcontractors, as well as occasional contact with clients.
• Responsible for cost engineering, cost estimation, cost analysis, and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for proposal estimating activities which require a moderate degree of technical skill and experience.
• Ensuring quality, accuracy, consistency, spend profile, performing change management, and transparency in all cost management deliverables.
• Take ownership of the cost control function and ensure integrity of the cost and forecast reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction Management, or related degree.
• 5-10 years of Project Cost experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of project development stages, procurement, project controls, and construction execution practices is required.
• Working knowledge of applicable computer software such as PMWeb or similar project portfolio management software, DataServ, Excel, JD Edwards, or related software programs.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Results oriented and deliver on customer commitments.
• PMP certification desirable.

As a Senior Preconstruction Engineer, you will drive the bidding process for construction projects by crafting precise conceptual and hard dollar estimates, developing proposals, and managing subcontractor bids. • Proposal Preparation: Collaborate with the Preconstruction team to deliver accurate proposals across various business units, including Commercial, Industrial, Institutional, and Residential sectors.
• Quantity Take-Offs: Perform detailed quantity take-offs for specific scopes of work to support accurate estimating.
• Subcontractor Management: Oversee the solicitation process for subcontractor bids, build and nurture relationships with subcontractors, and maintain a comprehensive master list of subcontractors/vendors.
• Bid Evaluation: Prepare and analyze Bid Evaluation sheets to ensure competitive and fair bidding processes.
• Schedule and Conditions Review: Evaluate project schedules, assist in drafting General Conditions, and contribute to the final assembly of estimates for presentation to owners.
• Handoff and Support: Facilitate a seamless transition of estimates, bid information, drawings, and specifications to Project Management, and assist Project Managers with contract negotiations, change orders, and other project needs.
• Historical Data Management: Develop and maintain historical data on unit prices to inform future estimating and bidding processes.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of estimating experience in commercial construction, with a strong track record in project bidding and management.
• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of building construction, materials, systems, and market conditions. Proficiency in estimating and quantity takeoff software.
• Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Analytical Skills: Strong conceptual abilities with a knack for working with limited information, and proven technical skills in mathematical calculations.

The Role We Want You For

Ventana is currently seeking a Cost Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be assisting in the development and management of the project financial strategy. You will be working directly with the project management team (Direct report to Director of Cost Management) to manage the project budget, costs, change orders, billings and forecasts. As an Assistant Superintendent, you will be responsible for field operations and onsite construction management of design-build construction projects, specifically quality control for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection, construction, start up, and testing on highly complex projects nationwide. The Assistant Superintendent will have input in the planning and oversight of the job including scheduling of manpower, obtaining tools and materials needed, filing permits and other documents, and advising on budget expenditures. The Assistant Superintendent will also provide on-site supervision of the daily workload, job site safety, receiving and storing of tools and supplies, and the reporting of all of these aspects to the Project Manager and Project Superintendent. Additionally, the Assistant Superintendent is expected to work diligently to educate themselves with Clayco on site Superintendent and Operations Manager duties to take the next step to becoming a Superintendent.

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will provide support to the project staff to ensure quality and timely execution of design-build projects from design to completion. Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong Python development expertise and deep experience in Snowflake to design, build, and optimize scalable enterprise data solutions. This role is based in Chicago, IL and will support regulatory and risk data initiatives in a highly governed environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building modern cloud data platforms and is familiar with risk management frameworks, BCBS 239 principles, and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) requirements within financial services.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Architecture

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python.

Build and optimize data models, transformations, and data marts within Snowflake.

Develop robust ELT/ETL frameworks for structured and semi-structured data.

Optimize Snowflake performance, cost efficiency, clustering, and workload management.

Implement automation, monitoring, and CI/CD for data pipelines.

Risk & Regulatory Data Management

7+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform development.

Hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, performance tuning).

Advanced SQL skills and deep understanding of data warehousing concepts.

Experience supporting BCBS 239 compliance or similar regulatory reporting frameworks.

Experience working within Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) structures.

Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Strong understanding of data lineage, controls, reconciliation, and audit requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

The Specifics of the Role

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and lead a comprehensive digital marketing and creative design strategy aligned with corporate objectives, market positioning, and long-term business growth.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on brand development, digital initiatives, and design innovation.

Digital Marketing Management

• Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of multi-channel digital marketing campaigns including SEO/SEM, paid media, email marketing, content strategy, and social media.
• Direct the firm’s digital presence, including website development, lead generation, user experience (UX), analytics, and performance reporting.
• Lead the company’s new efforts on ensuring a strong Clayco brand presence across all LLMs and Chatbots influencing the company’s brand awareness and perception in the marketplace.
• Implement marketing automation tools and CRM integration to support business development efforts and track client engagement.

Brand & Design Oversight

• Ensure consistency and quality of the firm’s brand identity across all digital and print materials, proposals, internal communications, and client-facing assets.
• Lead the creative direction for digital assets, video content, RFP responses, presentations, case studies, and visual storytelling efforts.
• Maintain and evolve brand guidelines to reflect the firm's strategic evolution, culture, and market positioning.

Team Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Build, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary team of digital marketers, designers, and content creators.
• Collaborate with business development, operations, human resources, and executive leadership to ensure marketing strategies are aligned with organizational goals.
• Manage vendor and agency relationships to ensure timely, on-brand, and cost-effective execution of initiatives.

Innovation & Industry Positioning

• Identify and implement emerging technologies, platforms, and best practices to enhance marketing efficiency and brand differentiation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Design, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in designing clean, professional marketing materials, ideally within the AEC industry.
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and PowerPoint.
• Graphic expertise in layouts, typography, and visual storytelling.

Provides project document coordination and recording throughout the PreBid, Design, Construction and Closeout process. Keep in contact with the design team, project management, peer reviewers and subcontractors to determine document flow and responsibility to maintain Clayco procedural standards while customizing and improving on these standards as required by each project.

Point Person for construction documents including drawings, sketches, specs, closeout documents, contracts and change orders, etc. Logging and tracking these documents and distributing to the Project Team Members and maintaining the electronic filing system.

This person helps to troubleshoot issues that may arise with Subs, Bidders, etc., in accessing/downloading on-line documents. Candidate understands the construction process and will coordinate next steps in keeping with the policies and standards of Clayco as the project progresses.

The Specifics of the Role

• Maintain Electronic Project Files and multiple platforms.
• Assist Estimating Department in Bidding Efforts.
• Type, assemble, organize, file, distribute, etc., Project Meeting Minutes, Bid Packages, Submittal Packages, Drawings, Contracts, Change Orders, etc.
• Create and maintain Distribution Lists in PMWeb.
• Manage and adjust workflows for standardized processes with the direction of the project team.
• Enter new companies and update company information in PMWeb, and elsewhere, as necessary.
• Assist in format and content of project specific reports as requested.
• Follow up with Subcontractors, Designers, and Suppliers for submittals, executed contracts, change orders, closeouts, etc.
• Request, assemble and submit the closeout documents to the owner and to archive.
• Maintain company standards and procedures for the Project and follow up with the team to ensure they are being followed.
• Assist in data searches of previous projects.

Requirements

• Experience in the construction industry is a plus
• Two-year degree in business administration or related associates degree is preferred.
• Excellent computer skills, including document management system, Word, Excel, and Outlook, and willingness to regularly update skills
