Position Overview

Jedson Engineering is seeking a Structural Engineering Department Manager to lead and grow our structural engineering group in Cincinnati, OH. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in structural design, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage both people and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Structural Engineering department, including supervising engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Oversee structural engineering deliverables across industrial and commercial projects (steel, concrete, foundations, buildings, and equipment structures).
• Provide technical guidance, quality assurance, and mentorship to team members.
• Collaborate with project managers and other discipline leads to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Develop staffing plans, assign resources, and support career growth of the team.
• Maintain department standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through technical leadership and excellent communication.
• Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and project estimating.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Experience in structural engineering leadership/management role.
• Strong knowledge of structural design codes (AISC, ACI, ASCE, etc.).
• Experience with industrial projects (manufacturing, chemical, pulp & paper, or similar).
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (STAAD, RISA, RAM, or equivalent).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

About the role:

• Team Leadership: Guiding, mentoring, and managing performance for a team of software engineers.
• Project Management: Overseeing the full software development life cycle to ensure on-time, quality delivery.
• Technical Strategy: Guiding architectural decisions and ensuring adoption of best practices.
• Collaboration: Working with product managers and stakeholders to align technical goals with business needs.
• Work with business, engineering, CAD, marketing, and manufacturing leaders on projects.

Qualifications:

• Technical degrees in IT, Computer Science or related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
• 7+ Years experience in C#, SQL, JS, Visual Studio, API integration, and Front-end UI development is required.
• Technical skills include familiarity with Azure, Git, , WPF, Winforms, HTML, CSS and Python.
• Experience in performing engineering design and analysis and the development of 3-D solid models utilizing Auto/CAD or similar software are preferred.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and leadership abilities.

Job Description:

The Pharmacy Engineering Technician 3 oversees logistics, fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, motors and systems The Pharmacy Engineering Technician 3 performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. May apply intermediate mathematical skills.

The Pharmacy Engineering Technician 3 ensures maintenance and continuous improvement of quality and industry standards, evaluates mechanical products to determine cost effectiveness and efficiency, oversees and implements prescription drug distribution equipment and recommends design modifications to eliminate malfunctions, reduce cost-to-fill, increase throughput and improve quality, performs and leads tests of related software and equipment to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects, and devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Decisions are typically focus on methods, tactics and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes and techniques, and works under limited guidance due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment, devices and components.

• Troubleshoot, routinely inspect equipment and electro-pneumatic controls as necessary on automated equipment.

• Report to Maintenance Supervisor on equipment condition and status as necessary.

• Install all new equipment including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and computer systems.

• Maintain an extremely clean work environment.

• Reduce machine downtime, improve throughput and overall performance of machines.

• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules by thoroughly documenting all issues, repairs, parts used, recommendations, etc.

• Must possess a sense of urgency on troubleshooting and repairing equipment for minimal downtime.

• Possess excellent project/assignment completion record.

• Ability to work independently.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of electrical/mechanical experience

• POS programing knowledge

• Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs
