In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Overview

Reporting to the Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Financial Operations serves as a strategic finance leader and trusted business partner responsible for driving financial performance, operational excellence, and data-informed decision-making across the organization. The Director provides leadership and oversight for strategic finance, revenue analysis, payer structures, and the development of best-in-class financial and analytic operations that support optimal financial effectiveness, service excellence, and high-quality patient care.

The Director ensures transparent communication of financial results, productivity, resource utilization, KPIs, and variance analyses while proactively identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to strengthen financial performance.

Essential Duties

  • Serve as a key strategic partner to the Vice President & CFO in setting and executing the organization’s financial strategy, with accountability for operational financial performance
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial modeling, including annual operating and capital budgets and performance improvement initiatives
  • Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, standards and directives from regulatory agencies and third-party payors
  • Oversees preparation and submission of Medicare, Medicaid and other third-party cost reports
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and departmental leaders to translate financial data into actionable insights related to productivity, resource utilization, service line performance, and revenue optimization

Required Education:

The Clinical Operations Manager works collaboratively with radiologists, technologists, nurses, physicians, and administrative leaders to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in imaging or clinical operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Experience managing imaging operations, scheduling, staffing, and quality/performance metrics.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements for diagnostic imaging.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with EPIC/EMR systems.
  • Background in multiple imaging modalities or ambulatory/outpatient imaging centers.

Required Education & Licensure

  • Licensed Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Illinois, in good standing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Education & Certification

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional certification in leadership or imaging administration (e.g., CRA, CNML, or NE-BC).

The Opportunity

  • Maintain awareness and interactions with payers such as significant IPA’s, Medical Groups, Foundations, ACO’s associated with the hospital / health system.
  • Execute efficient recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for new providers, ensuring the practice is staffed with highly qualified professionals.
  • Provide learning and development opportunities and mentoring to providers and staff to enhance their clinical acumen, leadership skills and overall professional growth.
  • Evaluate the performance of physicians and PA / NPs in compliance with Vituity policies and guidelines.
  • Monitor physician competencies with progressive improvement using appropriate metrics. Counsel, suspend, or remove staff from the schedule as necessary in compliance with Vituity polices / guidelines.
  • Actively participate in contract negotiations in conjunction with the Regional Director.
  • Develop, foster, and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with hospital leadership, nursing staff and other healthcare team members.
  • Ensure practice is appropriately represented and demonstrates their value through leadership roles (as applicable) and/or participation with hospital management, medical staff leadership, Medical Executive, Medical Staff and other hospital committees, and within the local community.

 

Required Experience and Competencies

  • Licensed physician as a Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited residency program.
  • Active medical staff membership and privileges at the Hospital, with compliance to all bylaws, rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Current Physician Partner status.
  • Physician Partnership status required.
  • Five (5) years of leadership experience in a clinical or administrative role preferred.
  • Demonstrated superior clinical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience working across diverse individuals, disciplines, and multiple locations.
  • Competency in project management, relationship building, and technical systems.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and healthcare finance.

  • A small, community hospital with great nurses and support staff.
  • STEMI Receiving Center, and Primary Stroke Center.
  • Cath lab for Interventional Cardiology.
  • 169-bed hospital with a 22-bed Emergency Department.
  • Annual volume of 28,000 with 76 patients per day on average.
  • On-site Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit.
