Control Air Enterprises LLC’s San Diego Electrical Division is looking to hire an organized, timely, and respectful Electrical estimator with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Electrical industry. The estimator must have a track record of success in managing multiple projects simultaneously. In addition, they must have excellent organizational and time management skills along with estimating software experience ((ConEst (preferred), Accubid, & Bluebeam)).

Responsibilities

The Electrical Estimator’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Review and evaluate ITBs to identify projects aligned with company capabilities.
• Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and documentation to prepare accurate time, material, and labor cost estimates.
• Examine specifications and front-end documents to assess scope and pricing impacts.
• Participate in site walks for select opportunities to gather project insights.
• Perform detailed electrical take-offs for commercial and industrial projects.
• Prepare clear, competitive, and well-documented estimates and proposals.
• Develop conceptual estimates and value-engineering options to support project budgeting.
• Generate alternate design solutions as needed to optimize cost and efficiency.
• Solicit, obtain, and evaluate quotes from material suppliers, equipment vendors, and subcontractors.
• Communicate effectively and manage scheduling, analysis, and estimating responsibilities.
• Review bid documents to identify potential conflicts or constructability issues.
• Coordinate personnel in assembling comprehensive estimates.
• Engage with clients to gather necessary data and assemble complete project costs.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and designers on estimate adjustments or changes.
• Ensure organized handoffs to Project Managers for seamless project execution.
• Identify risks, scope gaps, and cost impacts during the estimating process.
• Adhere to company procedures for communication, documentation, timesheets, and estimate assembly.
• Develop and maintain cost databases to support future estimates.
• Research and compile historical company data into spreadsheets and records.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Learn and utilize company software programs essential to daily operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic with a proactive, solution-oriented attitude.
• Excellent communication and listening skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Experience with estimating software; ConEst and SureCount preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required.
• Ability to present a confident, professional image in all interactions.
• Knowledge of NEC, CEC, and California Building Code standards.

• Experience working with diesel and natural gas engines, electrical switchgear, automatic transfer switches, and balance of plant equipment.

Core Responsibilities:

• Complete assigned duties with an exceptional level of accuracy and timeliness
• Implement project start up and close out procedures as directed by Project Manager
• Assist Project Managers in the subcontract/buyout process, including but not limited to, bid analysis, subcontract document drafting and purchase orders
• Acquire an understanding of all subcontract scopes of work, subcontract agreements, project plans, specifications, and prime contract with the Owner
• Create list of required submittals and pursue subcontractors. Upon receipt, review submittals for completeness as per project plans and specifications
• Upon receipt of changes by Owner, Architect, or Engineer, create Proposal Request and forward to applicable subcontractors for pricing
• Assist Project Superintendent with field related coordination and updating the project schedule
• Assist Project Managers in all project meetings (i.e. OAC, Coordination)
• Follow through with subcontractors to ensure all proposals are received. Analyze proposals for completeness
• Process and distribute RFIs timely and coordinate with affected subcontractors
• Assist Project Manager with maintaining the project schedule
• Assist Project Manager with maintaining the Potential Change Order to Owners log and Subcontractor Change Orders
• Assist Project Manager in budget and change order management

Work with the Director of Merchandising on the planning, development, and execution of

an organization's merchandise strategy. This role involves analyzing market trends, and making data-driven decisions to optimize product assortment, pricing, and inventory levels. The goal is to maximize sales and profitability while ensuring that the merchandise aligns with the company's brand and customer expectations.

The strategic link between the product team and our cross functional partners in marketing, planning and sales.

Assortment Planning:

• Participate in merchandising strategies and creation of seasonal assortment plans to build profitable assortments that will meet internal margin goals
• Partner with Director of Merchandising on seasonal style line plan creation and maintenance including but not limited to style number creation, color codes, and product variable data coding for PLM system
• Set and adjust pricing strategies to optimize sales and
• profitability, taking into account competitive pricing, cost structures, and market dynamics.

Business Reporting & Analysis:

• Assist in monitoring weekly sales, analyzing style performance and market trends to better understand channel specific needs and opportunities
• Learn to understand target customers by shopping retail stores and providing competitive analysis to enhance brand strategies and opportunities
• Assist in the development of inventory and markdown strategies that fuel company sales objectives

M&D Calendar:

• Assist the Director of Merchandising in maintaining the design calendar and development process to ensure timely completion
• Participate in development Milestone Meeting preparation, including sketch reviews, line assortment reviews, proto reviews, pricing and margin reviews, and internal sales presentations

GTM Calendar:

• Work with Director of Merchandising to set seasonal primary and secondary product marketing stories
• Develop Briefs for Creative Production
• Complete Channel Boxes in GTM Calendar

Sample Management

• Work closely with production to manage incoming photo samples
• Organize, maintain, and prepare samples for merchant presentations and requests from
• business partners
• Manage and organize the sample archive

Wholesale and E-Commerce Asset Creation

• Collaborate with the creative team on product descriptions
• Create shot list for seasonal photo assets and work closely with in-house photographer to
• ensure completion
• Work with Director of Merchandising on styling of both mens and womens collections, and
• assist on photoshoots
• Review photo assets and ensure they meet Outerknown standards

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in design, business, or marketing
• Apparel merchandising/buying background required; contemporary menswear experience

• collections at the e-commerce level
