- Maintain water quality in pools, ponds and fountains.
- Backwash filters, clean pump screens and baskets, monitor water quality and perform water tests.
- Perform daily inspections and repairs on attractions.

- Performs scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspects, repairs and tests amusement rides and related equipment. This may include repair or replacement of major components such as gears, chains, sprockets, pneumatic cylinders, hoses, brakes, clutches, wheels, bearings, gearboxes, springs, or a wide variety of other mechanical devices.
- Trouble shoots a variety of mechanical, pneumatic systems and takes appropriate corrective actions.
- Properly follows all repair procedures and maintains accurate documentation of all repairs. Maintains orderly and accurate records of all required inspections and work performed and submits required paperwork to supervision in a timely manner.
- Communicates the status of assigned rides both verbally and in written format.
- Maintains all assigned equipment in a safe and ready condition according to all applicable codes, laws, rules, company policies, and best practices. Works safely and efficiently on all assigned tasks, coordinates with others as necessary to achieve desired results.
- Reads, understands and applies information from manufacturer's manuals for service, repair and or component replacement. Accurately reads blueprints (mechanical, pneumatic).
- Notify maintenance of equipment problems, building repairs, etc. necessary to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Use soldering, hand, and power tools to perform tasks and repairs.
- Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.

SENIOR TRANSPORTATION PLANNER
The Lehigh Valley Planning Commission (LVPC), in coordination with the Lehigh Valley Transportation Study (LVTS), is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner to lead regional transportation planning initiatives across the Lehigh Valley. This position plays a key role in shaping future infrastructure investments through sound planning, data analysis, and interagency coordination.
As a senior member of the Transportation Planning + Data Division, the selected candidate will independently manage complex transportation projects that intersect with land use, safety, system performance, freight, active transportation, and infrastructure management. The role combines technical knowledge with collaborative leadership to support the region’s evolving transportation needs and priorities.
This position serves as a trusted resource to internal teams and external stakeholders, including state and federal transportation agencies, local governments, and the public.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES
Working under the general direction of the Director of Transportation, the Senior Transportation Planner:
- Lead the development and implementation of the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) and supporting documents.
- Oversee the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and coordinate with state partners on the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).
- Support planning initiatives that address safety, mobility, system condition, freight movement, and multimodal accessibility.
- Manage transportation funding programs, including review of federal and state grant opportunities and support materials.
- Analyze system performance using a variety of data sources and tools, including GIS, travel demand models, and other technical platforms.
- Integrate transportation and land use policy by reviewing development proposals, local plans, and ordinances for potential impacts on the regional network.
- Prepare and present clear, concise reports and briefings to technical and non-technical audiences, including elected officials and community groups.

Role Description
We are seeking a Dirt Superintendent to oversee and manage operations in our Pennsylvania Region. The Dirt Superintendent will be responsible for supervising daily site activities, coordinating work schedules, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and managing resources to achieve project goals. Key tasks include supervising grading, excavation, and compaction activities, ensuring project timelines are met, and collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure high-quality results. This is an on-site role requiring strong leadership and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in earthwork operations, including grading, excavation, and compaction.
- Leadership and personnel management skills to effectively supervise field teams and provide on-site guidance.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in earthwork or a related field, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency with construction management software and tools is a plus.
- Experience with Pennsylvania DOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike.
