Production Supervisor – New South Express (Honda Logistics NA Subsidiary)

New South Express (NSE), a subsidiary of Honda Logistics North America (HLNA), is seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to support logistics operations for Honda’s manufacturing facilities. Role Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring efficient use of labor and resources. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. You will guide team members, manage performance, and ensure alignment with operational and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations Management

·       Support business plan objectives; develop and monitor action plans to achieve department goals.

·       Oversee daily production operations to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets.

·       Ensure appropriate manpower planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.

·       Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure timely, accurate reporting.

·       Plan and manage departmental new model activities.

·       Anticipate operational challenges and implement preventive solutions.

Leadership & Team Development

·       Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to supervisors, section leaders, and associates.

·       Model exemplary behavior in safety, quality, attendance, and housekeeping.

·       Support associate development programs, including the Associate Training Program

·       Conduct interviews and participate in hiring decisions.

·       Administer corrective actions professionally and consistently.

Quality, Safety, & Compliance

·       Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

·       Monitor safety results, investigate issues, and develop countermeasures.

·       Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and operational requirements.

·       Maintain strong, professional communication with customers and internal teams.

Project & Communication Responsibilities

·       Lead and support departmental projects as assigned.

·       Present operational updates and project results to management.

·       Ensure timely completion of daily and monthly reports.

·       Collaborate effectively with peers and the Assistant Manager.

Qualifications

Required

·       Post-secondary education (2- or 4-year degree in Operations Management, Business, or related field) or equivalent experience.

·       2+ years of experience in a warehouse or production management environment.

·       Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor teams.

·       Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.

·       Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills.

·       Professional, collaborative communication style when working with customers and associates.

·       Willingness to work any shift, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.

·       Excellent attendance record.

Preferred

·       Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

·       Experience in manufacturing or logistics operations.

·       Experience creating and managing production schedules and planning activities.
