The Inpatient Surgery Department at Saint Mary’s Hospital is a 23-bed unit specializing in the pre- and post-operative care of patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures. These include, but are not limited to, bariatric, orthopedic, ortho-trauma, neuro-spine, mastectomy, urological, gynecological, and gastrointestinal surgeries.
Your Role
As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will:
Deliver direct, hands-on care to patients with complex surgical needs.
Develop and implement individualized care plans focused on promoting recovery and restoring patients to their pre-surgical level of wellness.
Provide exceptional care and support for patients requiring overnight or extended post-operative stays.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred.
Licensure: Current and valid Connecticut RN license.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an acute inpatient setting.
Certifications: BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, 36 hours, Days
12-hour shifts- 7a to 7:30p

Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with ,execeptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. This position's expected total compensation (base salary and commission range) is $70,600.00- $86,500.00.
The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company's Incentive Plan. Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships with study leadership, core staff, external vendors, and global sponsors.
- Financial Oversight: Manage study budgets, contracts, agreements, and change orders; collaborate with finance for invoicing and reconciliation.
- Project Lifecycle: Lead all project meetings (scheduling, agendas, and documentation) and track action items to ensure milestones are met.
