We present an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled researcher to join our team as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Inorganic/ Organometallic Chemistry at the University of Central Florida (UCF). This unique position offers a blend of advanced research in molecular inorganic and organometallic chemistry, with a downstream interest in reactivity, catalysis and relevant mechanistic investigations.
The successful candidate, housed in the labs of, and co-advised by Professors John Gordon and Titel Jurca, will play a pivotal role in advancing cutting-edge molecular inorganic chemistry. Responsibilities include the synthesis and characterization of novel coordination complexes employing techniques spanning conventional air-free synthesis, to alternative sono- and mechanochemical methodologies. Relevant complexes will be further studied for reactivity, with potential application to catalytic processes. Additionally, the candidate will participate in standard laboratory responsibilities of upkeep/maintenance, the collective supervision of graduate and undergraduate students, and dedicated activities related to professional development.
Responsibilities:
Research: Conduct advanced research in the synthesis, characterization, and reactivity of novel molecular inorganic complexes. Collaboration: Actively collaborate across both Gordon and Jurca groups, and the REACT cluster at UCF, in pursuit of the research goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in organometallic, inorganic, or catalysis chemistry. Strong background in standard molecular analysis techniques including NMR, FTIR, mass-spec, scXRD (not required but desirable). Experience in air-free synthetic techniques (Schlenk line, inert atmosphere glovebox)
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent writing, communication, and collaboration skills. Track record of high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals. Experience with x-ray crystallography.

Job Summary

As a Care Transition Navigator (CTN), you play a critical role in ensuring a safe, seamless transition from the acute care setting to home. You will conduct bedside assessments, identify high-risk medical and social needs, collaborate with hospital care teams, and coordinate timely, effective home health referrals. This role is essential to preventing avoidable rehospitalizations while delivering a compassionate, patient-centered experience. Every encounter reflects our valuestrustworthy, capable, compassionate, proactive, and called.
Essential Functions
Clinical Assessment & Care Coordination
- Conduct onsite hospital bedside assessments within 24 hours of referral.
- Integrate evidence-based clinical guidelines to develop patient-centered transition plans.
- Engage with patients, caregivers, case managers, physicians, and inpatient teams to gather key information for discharge planning.
- Identify high-risk medical and social determinants of health needs and communicate them to the care team.
- Schedule a follow-up primary care appointment within 3 days post-discharge.
- Complete follow-up phone calls within 48 hours of discharge and document CTN Follow-Up Coordination notes in HCHB.
- Support strategies to reduce home health rehospitalizations through proactive communication and interventions.
Documentation & EMR Responsibilities
- Document CTN coordination notes to support admitting home health clinicians.
- Complete workflow tasks and assignments specific to the CTN role in the EMR.
- Receive and enter verbal orders in HCHB from licensed practitioners and ensure physician approval.
- Follow up on pending referrals to support timely home health admissions.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
- Participate in care coordination with agency staff, contractors, patients, and referral partners.
- Communicate effectively with all providers involved in a patient's plan of care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on engagement with the VitalCaring Connection (VCC) for virtual and telephonic care.
- Prepare for and participate in case conferences with other healthcare team members.
Professional Standards
- Meet all mandatory continuing education requirements.
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills across the care team.
- Attend agency-sponsored in-service training sessions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN, LVN/LPN) or an accredited Physical Therapy program (PT).
- Active RN, LVN/LPN, or PT license in state of employment; valid driver's license required.
- May require completion of HHS Computer-Based Training depending on license category.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience as an RN, PT, LVN, or LPN.
- One year of home health experience preferred.
- Strong nursing or PT clinical skills aligned with accepted standards of practice.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Proven relationship-building and territory management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and EMR systems preferred.

The Opportunity
MML Investors Services is looking for a Suitability Principal who understands the needs of our sophisticated financial advisors and their staff. The principal is responsible for managing time-sensitive and frequently escalated cases with confidence and professionalism, consistently prioritizing the needs of our advisors and their clients. Other functions Advisory Operations and Cashiering. Furthermore, you will conduct back-office reviews of complex, high risk brokerage money movement transactions for accounts clearing through National Financial Services. In this role you will demonstrate accountability, agility, and strong business acumen along with courage, even in the most difficult situations. Strong collaboration with our peer teams throughout the broker dealer is also critical to your success.
The Team
As the Broker-Dealer (BD) and Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) arm of MassMutual’s Wealth Management organization, we have grown significantly over recent years. This will remain among our top strategic pillars. To best align and support this growth, we have segmented the service and operations facets to exclusively support our top-tier advisors. Branded Society 1851 Wealth Management, our strategy includes growing and retaining our experienced advisor population through MassMutual agencies across the country. We aim to support our advisors with white glove, comprehensive service to help them expand and scale their practices. Our culture embraces a team mentality and thrives on effective collaboration, strong business acumen, and a laser focus on eloquent and detailed communication. The team of about 20 associates, both FINRA-licensed and unlicensed, executes on daily back-office operations aimed at enhancing the advisor experience.
The Impact
The In Force team will deliver education and drive readiness in an ever-changing, fast paced environment. You must ensure the team is well positioned to support the day-to-day execution of often complex securities transactions and delivering strong individual production results. Additionally, you will provide exceptional service to advisors and their staff while also contributing to strategic ‘Making it Easier’ initiatives. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills along with the ability to learn, adapt, all while being the ‘go-to’ for a talented and dynamic team.
The Minimum Qualifications
FINRA Series 7 & 24 required at time of application
3+ years MMLIS experience and / or 4+ years' experience with Brokerage/ Money Movement transactions
High School Diploma/GED/HiSET
Principals working 100% remotely may be subject to on-site inspection by MML and/or regulators
Candidates residing within 50 miles of MassMutual office will be expected to work a Hybrid schedule of 3 days a week in the Springfield office

Salary and Benefits
Annual base salary for newly appointed BPAs varies per grade, as follows: GL-5/GL-7 $51,632 - $92,219 per year. Border Patrol Agents are eligible to select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health, dental and other insurance plans, a generous annual and sick leave program, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, a retirement plan akin to a traditional ROTH 401(k) offering.
*Recruitment Incentive* Newly appointed Border Patrol Agents (as defined in 5 CFR 575.102) will be eligible for up to $20,000 in incentives. The first $10,000 will be paid upon successful completion of the Border Patrol Academy, with the remaining $10,000 awarded for accepting a prioritized location such as Sierra Blanca, Presidio, Sanderson, Comstock, Freer or Hebbronville, TX; Lordsburg, NM; or Ajo, AZ.
*Retention Incentive* Newly appointed Border Patrol Agents may also qualify for up to $40,000 in additional incentives distributed over their first four years.
Duty Locations
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Duty assignments available at the time of offer may include the Southwest Border, including prioritized locations.
U.S. Border Patrol determines duty assignments at the time of offer based on operational needs, which may or may not align with candidates’ first-choice preferences. RELOCATION MAY BE REQUIRED.
Duty location impacts pay rates; locality pay for federal law enforcement is higher in some locations than others. A fully trained BPA may be eligible for up to an additional 25% of base pay per the BPA Pay Reform Act of 2014. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GL-5, GL-7, GL-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without reapplying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level.

Duties and Responsibilities
As a BPA, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation’s economic prosperity. Being a BPA makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession.
Typical assignments include:
- Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and custom laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
- Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions to include using infrared scopes during night operations
- Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband
- Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks
- Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using a variety of government assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft, off-road vehicles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and motorcycles for the accomplishment of the USBP Mission.
Qualifications
You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience: One (1) year of general work experience that demonstrates the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations; to learn regulations, methods, and techniques through classroom training and/or on-the-job instruction; and the ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation, and examination of documents and records; OR
Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR
Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of general work experience AND successfully completed college education. This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.
You qualify for the GL-7 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience: One year of specialized work experience that shows you have the skills necessary to:
- Make sound judgments and decisions in the use of firearms.
- Deal effectively with people in a courteous and tactful manner in connection with law enforcement matters.
- Analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions where you will be expected to make arrests after the completion of required training and apply these skills in a law enforcement capacity such as criminal code enforcement, determining violations of laws, correctional or rehabilitation work involving criminal offenders, security, military, etc.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms; deal effectively with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement matters; analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions; or develop and maintain contact with a network of informants.
Education Substitution for the GL-7 grade level: A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (i.e., GPA of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0), or (3) honor society membership. Or will receive a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. Or one full year of graduate-level education in a field of study related to law enforcement (e.g., criminal justice, homeland security, justice studies, law enforcement, courts and judicial systems, forensic technology, forensic psychology, or corrections and rehabilitation) from an accredited college or university; OR
A Combination of Experience and Education: This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.
Note: If you have previous or current law enforcement or military law enforcement experience, you may qualify at the GL-9 and or GS-11 grade level. Please refer to the BPA GL-9 - 11 announcement.
Other Requirements
Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.
Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years.
Age Restriction: In accordance with Public Law 100-238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions. Candidates must be referred for selection to the Border Patrol Agent position before reaching their 40th birthday in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Directive 251-03.
