About You
As more real estate opportunities present themselves due to the ever-changing market in the Mid-Atlantic area, Wakefern, in conjunction with our Members, is investing in many new stores and remodel projects. Additionally, as Wakefern grows to meet these needs, our facilities also need to be expanded and re-configured to accommodate this growth.
This internship position is a great opportunity for a student majoring in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related fields to gain hands-on experience working with Wakefern's Engineering Division. In this position, the intern will assist the Engineering team in project management in our Retail Engineering Design Department.
Responsibilities:
Facilities Engineering / Design and Construction
- Assist Engineering in preparation of plans using AutoCAD
- Assist Engineering Personnel in surveys of existing sites and stores to verify existing conditions
- Assist in drafting of remodels or new sites, including parking lots and stores
- Coordinate scanning of existing paper drawings into electronic files
- Visit new sites to determine best layout for building, parking and truck docks as well as truck paths through the site.
Requirements:
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Some Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD file Software required
- Valid driver's license and flexibility with regard to travel required

Compensation and Benefits:
First year Facilities Engineering Interns will be paid at $17.00 per hour. Master Students and Returning Wakefern Supply Chain/Logistic Interns will be paid at $19.00 per hour. Interns are not eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match & annual company contribution, paid time off and holidays.

This role will serve as a critical business representative embedded within the SAP transformation program. Coming from a background in merchandising, category management, or buying, this individual brings deep business knowledge to ensure system designs, processes, and deliverables align with operational realities.
In this hybrid business–technology role, you will support project deliverables, represent the voice of the business, coordinate validations and follow‑ups, manage super users, and oversee key testing activities. Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position is $100,000 to $170,000 annually. Placement in the salary depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.

Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a BIM Technician to be based out of Tampa, FL reporting to the Drafting Manager. This person will be responsible for working with the project team to develop accurate and complete modeling drawing sets. The BIM Technician will ensure the integrity of project drawings while maintaining privileged information per the customer and company requirements.
What you'll do:
- Accurately identify product specifications and understand of detail assemblies and their application for installation.
- Create or revise/update construction drawings, maintaining a tracking log of drawings.
- Review drawings for accuracy and scope of work, ensuring quality of final drawings.
- Collaborate with team and customers to ensure that projects are successfully completed, and best practices/technical issues are addressed.
- Run the multi trade coordination for clashes to assist project team with the design process.
- Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage.
- Research ways to continuously improve our process including providing insight into new time saving methodologies and best practices.
- Manage, maintain, and update BIM Project documents.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's (preferred) or Associates Degree in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) related field with 1 to 3 years of industry experience.
- 1+ years' experience in 3D Revit or 3D AutoCAD.
- Technical certificates in Drafting and ED BIM Modeling training (preferred).
- Experience with Autodesk Revit, CAD, and BIM procedures (Preferred).
- Familiarity with Overhead coordination process including 3D Modeling utilizing Revit in project environment, Project As-builts and turnover for Facility management.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, CAD and BIM systems including Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit Suite, BIM 360, Veo, Bluebeam, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Within 3 months, you'll:
- Complete the onboarding material and training on companies' products and drafting processes.
- Collecting information from multiple plans and incorporating them into a model which can be used to build structural support.
- Produce 2D shop drawings and 3D models projects with assistance of PM and BIM Designer.
- Complete Atkore Immersion process.
Within 6 months, you'll:
- Communicate effectively with PM's and other team members in order to gather the information needed for each project.
- Develop strong knowledge of the companies' products and produce accurate designs based on each project needs.
- Assist with BIM Designer to coordination meeting and be part of BIM project development at different phases: modeling, cleaning clashes and producing shop drawings.
Within 12 months, you'll:
- Produce structural models and drawings using Revit and manage coordination projects.
- Manipulate and develop CAD library components for AutoCAD and Revit or other related software.
- Independently handle BIM project from start to finish by assisting to BIM Coordination, performing clash detection, and resolving coordination issues.

- Design, build, and maintain automated data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability across data operations.
- Develop and implement robust data integration solutions to streamline data flow between diverse systems and databases.

- Build and maintain scalable Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including the curation and indexing of knowledge bases in vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Vertex AI Vector Search).
- Leverage cloud-based AI/ML platforms (e.g., Vertex AI, Azure ML) to build, train, and deploy machine learning models on a scale.
- Establish and enforce data quality and governance standards for AI/ML datasets, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data used for model training and validation.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and machine learning engineers to understand data requirements and deliver optimized data solutions that support the entire machine learning lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with IBM DataStage and Alteryx is a plus.
- Strong understanding of database design principles, including normalization, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $75,868 - $150,644. Placement in the range depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.
