  • Participates in the development of the Plan of Care, updating the Interdisciplinary Team of the patient/family/caregiver psychosocial status during report and team meetings.
  • Provides information and referral related to community resources for patient/families/caregivers based on needs identified in the initial/ongoing assessment and Plan of Care.
  • Provides education and assistance with Advance Directives as needed.
  • Serves as liaison between patients/families/caregivers and community agencies, when patient consents to contact with a particular agency.
  • Serves as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team and maintains collaborative relationships with agency personnel to support patient care.
  • Assists physician, volunteers, and other team members in understanding significant social and emotion­al factors related to health problems and death/dying issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a BPA, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity. Being a BPA makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession.

Typical assignments include:

  • Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.

GL-9: You qualify for the GL-9 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:

  • Performing physical searches of detained individuals, their vehicles, and their immediate surroundings for weapons, contraband, currency, and other evidence.
  • Apprehending, physically restraining, or working with law enforcement officials to identify or apprehend violators of state, federal, or immigration laws.
  • Proficient in the use of firearms, preparing investigative reports, serving court orders (e.g., warrants, subpoenas, etc.), and gathering evidence for criminal cases prosecuted through the court system.

If you have previous or current law enforcement or military law enforcement experience, you may qualify at the GS-11 grade level.

GS-11: You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, with the authority granted by the state or government to enforce laws, make arrests, and investigate crimes, performing primary duties in an official law enforcement capacity such as:

There are no education substitutions for the GL-9 or GS-11 grade-level Border Patrol Agent opportunities.

What You’ll Do:

As a PA-C, you will be a key clinical provider in a skilled nursing facility, diagnosing, treating, and guiding patients to better health. No two days are the same!


Your daily responsibilities include:

  • Performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
  • Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
  • Prescribing medications and creating treatment plans.
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
  • Educating patients and families on health conditions and preventive care.
  • Documenting patient care accurately and efficiently.

Bronson Neuroscience Center has an outstanding opportunity to join their established, highly reputable practice in Southwest Michigan. Seeking to employ a full-time, BC/BE outpatient neurologist. Our successful growing practice currently supports twelve neurologists and eight APPs. The ideal candidate will have a desire for providing personalized, evidence-based, care at the highest level. We are looking for someone who is a good team-player, eager to learn, has great communications skills, and a passion for neurology.



Position Overview

  • Employed position within Bronson Medical Group with a Monday – Friday day schedule. Portion of clinic will be general neurology with ability to subspecialize.
  • Ability to perform EMGs, Botox injections, Occipital nerve blocks, etc.
  • Opportunity for teaching and academic affiliation through Western Michigan University’s Homer Stryker School of Medicine.
  • Weekday call averages 4 nights per month (no weekend call)
  • Well-developed referral base through the Bronson Medical Group
  • System-wide Epic EMR



Qualifications

  • Medical degree from accredited university; board certified or board eligible
  • Completion of an ACGME approved neurology residency or its equivalent
  • Hold a MI license or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Michigan
