TheManufacturing Applications Engineer supports customer growth by providing technical expertise across proposal development, estimating, and manufacturing execution. This role works closely with sales, estimating, engineering, and operations teams to develop competitive, manufacturable solutions for customer requirements. The position applies practical manufacturing knowledge, CAD and DFM skills, and cost awareness to support RFQs, improve win rates, and ensure successful transition of work into production while maintaining Prototek's standards for quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions
- Apply working knowledge of common manufacturing methods and materials to support manufacturable solutions
- Interpret and extract information from CAD models and drawings (SolidWorks or similar preferred), including basic GD&T requirements
- Support review of job cost versus estimate to improve future quoting accuracy
- Provide technical input to sales and estimating teams to support competitive proposals
- Offer practical DFM guidance to customers and internal teams
- Support proposal and RFQ development for assigned customers in collaboration with sales and estimating teams
- Provide technical support to resolve customer challenges and support successful order placement
- Assist in developing estimating capabilities through knowledge sharing and technical guidance
- Support new customer development through technical research and customer engagement
- Respond to new customer inquiries and route opportunities appropriately

Job Overview
Work cross functionally between product development and manufacturing engineering to develop & optimize new manufacturing processes and equipment that will be or has been transferred to production for commercial release.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Provide input to Product Development on new product designs to address Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) requirements.
- Act as a liaison between Product Development, Manufacturing, and Manufacturing Engineering to assure that project deliverables are communicated and agreed upon.
- Assess process failure risks and institute methods of detection and mitigation.
- Develop & optimize processes required for new products & equipment.
- Work with internal design/equipment engineers and/or outside equipment vendors to specify, purchase and develop new manufacturing equipment and tooling.
- Work with validation and quality engineers to develop validation plan for new equipment / processes.
- Maintain compliance to Quality System and regulations for new processes and equipment.
- Complete protocols and reports for Equipment Acceptance Testing (EAT), Installation Qualifications (IQ), and Operational Qualifications (OQ).
- Collaborate with other disciplines as needed to execute Performance Qualification (PQ) activities.
- Coordinate pilot production / pre-release manufacturing.
- Work closely with Manufacturing and Manufacturing Engineering to release new processes and equipment into production.
- Work closely with Manufacturing and Manufacturing Engineering to support new processes and equipment that have been recently released into production.
- Create and implement required documentation including but not limited to; equipment history files, manufacturing procedures, test methods, BOM's, routings, etc.
- Responsible for change orders (ECO/DCO's) required to release and/or update controlled items.
- Assist in special projects as needed.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties as requested.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or other related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience with developing and optimizing new manufacturing processes.
- Experience with introducing new equipment / processes into production.
- Strong problem solving / troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with process control & statistical analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information and prepare written reports.
- Able to work in a cross functional team environment.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Experience in a medical device environment or other regulated industry is preferred.

The Sr. Engineer, Quality Operations is responsible for understanding quality requirements, developing and improving processes to meet those requirements, driving internal efforts for root cause analysis and corrective actions, while providing day to day support of processes to meet our high standards of precision and quality in producing medical devices.

- Lead and implement various product and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing)

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 5-6 years of Quality Management Systems (QMS) experience.

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

- 1-3 years field experience in Sprinkler and Backflow systems service.
- Fire and /or Life Safety Systems experience.
- Must have or be able & willing to attain state Sprinkler and/or Backflow Licenses.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
- Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to visually inspect and service sprinkler and backflow systems.
- Must be able to recognize alarm sights and sounds.
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes.
- May require ability to effectively use a Sprinkler Pipe Threader.
- Must be able to effectively use backflow tester, pipe wrench, various lifts and common pipe fitting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of proven success in performance of Sprinkler inspection, installation, and service is highly preferred.

This role offers steady, predictable blocks of clinical work with no call and a full academic environment that blends complex pediatric care with a strong teaching culture.
The schedule runs approximately 40 to 50 hours each week, with typical days beginning around 7:00 AM and finishing near 5:30 PM.
Providers must be available for at least two consecutive weeks each month, and overtime is not part of the assignment.
You will work within a large, well supported anesthesia department that includes physicians, advanced practice providers, and rotating residents and students.
The clinical practice covers patients ranging from neonates to adults.
Although pediatric care is the primary focus, you must also be comfortable managing some adult cases.
The caseload includes routine pediatric ambulatory procedures as well as increasingly complex surgeries, including a growing number of pediatric neurosurgical cases.
The anesthesiologist in this role will work closely with the pediatric neurosurgery team and participate fully in a tertiary care environment that handles high acuity cases across multiple specialties.
To be considered, physicians must be board certified or eligible in anesthesiology within five years and must have completed a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
A completely clean malpractice history is required.
Providers need to be comfortable with both pediatric and adult anesthesia, must have experience with the EPIC EMR, and must hold or be able to obtain a New Hampshire medical license.
BLS certification and a valid DEA are required.
Applicants with pending or settled malpractice cases, or those based outside the United States, cannot be considered.
The assignment includes a structured four to five day orientation, and start dates are aligned with standard onboarding and credentialing timelines.
