The Opportunity

The School of Social Work in the College of Health Professions and Sciences at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for one 12-month instructor whose primary assignments will be teaching and field placement in the BSW and MSW programs (both online and campus based) while participating in meaningful service at the school, college, university, and community levels. The position is assigned to the main Orlando campus with a projected start date of Fall 2026.

The School of Social Work is recognized regionally and nationally for the superior quality of its educational offerings and its contributions to clinical social work, health care, scholarship, and service to our community. The school has 34 full-time faculty, 14 staff, numerous adjunct faculty, and over 900 students. We offer a BSW and an MSW program. There are various campus based and online tracks in the MSW program.

The College of Health Professions and Sciences is home to three schools, one department, and six centers and institutes and is a leader in creating positive community change by building partnerships that transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries. The college is a core member of the UCF Academic Health Sciences Center along with the existing College of Nursing and College of Medicine. We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate effective engagement in an environment where colleagues and students come from many backgrounds and identities, as well as someone who can demonstrate commitment to equitable and inclusive teaching practices.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE-accredited program.


  • At least one year of experience with field social work education as a teacher/instructor, field instructor or supervisor.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Teaching experience in social work; both online and campus based.


  • Two years of post MSW social work practice experience.


  • Active status as a qualified supervisor for registered social work interns.

  • Verify the insurance eligibility for patients and analyze policy coverage in order to maintain patient accounts in EHR system.

  • Update accounts with inactive insurance and contact patients for additional information.

  • Respond to service requests and incidents related to Azure cloud infrastructure.   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of cloud configurations, procedures, standards, and operational guidelines. Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives by creating and updating technical documentation in the team wiki and knowledge base.

Knights Experience Team (kNEXT):

Within the College of Graduate Studies, the Department of Graduate Student Services supports all graduate students from enrollment to graduation by managing academic records, tracking degree progress, and processing milestones.

The Opportunity:

Under the direction of the Manager of Graduate Student Services, the Academic Evaluator II reviews eForms, evaluates graduate transfer credit, and updates the Graduate Plan of Study (GPS/degree audit). The position explains and clarifies academic policies and procedures related to transfer credit for students, faculty, and program staff. The Evaluator also assists with commencement preparation and attendance, certifies all graduate and certificate degrees, and provides high-quality customer service to graduate students, faculty, and program personnel.

Responsibilities:


  • Review, evaluate, and process graduate-level transfer credit requests. Resolve GPS (degree audit) related issues regarding graduate transfer credit.


  • Evaluate and process Programs of Study/eForms. Ensure GPS (degree audit) course substitutions/course moves comply with the Catalog Year/Requirement Term, as well as with graduate policy.


  • Process late Intent to Graduate (ITG) requests and communicate with college contacts at each phase of the graduation certification process. Attend and support each commencement ceremony. Conduct the final certification process each semester and award degrees once all requirements are met.


  • Provide quality customer service to graduate students via phone, email, or in person. Communicate with graduate department faculty and staff as well as other university offices to resolve student issues regarding student services, academic progress, and graduation. Refer students to others for appropriate assistance.


  • Perform testing and validation of Student Services PeopleSoft modifications, documenting results and providing feedback to the CGS ERP Specialist to support accuracy, reliability, and system improvements.


  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

The Materials Handler II is responsible for supporting daily operations by receiving, processing, and delivering materials, supplies, and packages to university departments. Responsibilities:


  • Receive and unload incoming shipments.

The Opportunity:

The University of Central Florida Recreation and Wellness Center employs PRN (as needed) athletic trainers to serve in the supervision and coordination of the Recreation and Wellness Center's overall sports medicine program.   • Assist with the coordination and scheduling of student-athletes for medical referrals and determine a student-athlete's ability to practice and/or compete in consultation with the Team Physician(s) and Athletic Training & Risk Management Coordinator.


  • Consult with the Team Physician(s) and other athletic trainers for guidance on the treatment of injured student-athletes, and report on their progress.


  • Report the status of injured student-athletes to proper RWC supervisors and periodically meet to identify and discuss problem areas with proper members of the Risk Management Team.


  • Assist with the compilation, input, organization, and maintenance of all medical records on student-athletes Assist with the enforcement of codes of conduct and rules of use for the Athletic Training Clinic, the RWC's facilities and equipment relating athletic training functions.


  • Share in the responsibility of athletic training clinic maintenance and upkeep.


  • Work in conjunction with RWC staff regarding the safety and usage of athletic equipment.


  • Maintain a good working relationship with the RWC staff regarding the safety of practice and competition surfaces and general field/court conditions.


  • Maintain certification and license requirements of the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC) and the State of Florida.


  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors


Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree and 1+ years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, and have CPR and AED certifications, and have a State of Florida Athletic Training License.

We present an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled researcher to join our team as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Inorganic/ Organometallic Chemistry at the University of Central Florida (UCF). This unique position offers a blend of advanced research in molecular inorganic and organometallic chemistry, with a downstream interest in reactivity, catalysis and relevant mechanistic investigations.

The successful candidate, housed in the labs of, and co-advised by Professors John Gordon and Titel Jurca, will play a pivotal role in advancing cutting-edge molecular inorganic chemistry. Responsibilities include the synthesis and characterization of novel coordination complexes employing techniques spanning conventional air-free synthesis, to alternative sono- and mechanochemical methodologies. Relevant complexes will be further studied for reactivity, with potential application to catalytic processes. Additionally, the candidate will participate in standard laboratory responsibilities of upkeep/maintenance, the collective supervision of graduate and undergraduate students, and dedicated activities related to professional development.

Responsibilities:

Research: Conduct advanced research in the synthesis, characterization, and reactivity of novel molecular inorganic complexes. Collaboration: Actively collaborate across both Gordon and Jurca groups, and the REACT cluster at UCF, in pursuit of the research goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in organometallic, inorganic, or catalysis chemistry. Strong background in standard molecular analysis techniques including NMR, FTIR, mass-spec, scXRD (not required but desirable). Experience in air-free synthetic techniques (Schlenk line, inert atmosphere glovebox)

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent writing, communication, and collaboration skills. Track record of high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals. Experience with x-ray crystallography.
