Position Overview

As a ServiceNow Sr. Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and automating the existing infrastructure and supporting processes for the ServiceNow Platform. Your focus will be on executing and maintaining environments that support both internal and external application solutions, ensuring technologies are available and performing to meet business needs. You will define and implement technology solutions within the ServiceNow platform that align with Securian's business objectives and overall IT strategies. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Maintain, support, and develop the ServiceNow platform via scripting and system configurations.

  • Establish design and capability guidelines for new and existing ServiceNow features to ensure platform integrity.

  • Architect and implement integrations with ServiceNow, third-party solutions, and internally developed applications.

  • Research, recommend, design, and implement ServiceNow platform services, including workflows, ITOM, ITBM, ITSM, Performance Analytics, CMDB, and ITAM.

  • Train internal associates and administrators in the use and configuration of ServiceNow applications.

  • Own your code from design to delivery, including test automation and detailed documentation.

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve ServiceNow system issues or operational support tickets.

  • Provide rotational after-hours on-call support for ServiceNow production issues.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of engineering experience with the ServiceNow technology platform or a comparable Service Management technology platform.

  • Proficient in using ServiceNow or equivalent Service Management tools for analysis, design, development, and integration with other applications, including 3rd party software.

  • Skilled in configuring ServiceNow Discovery and Orchestration.

  • Project management and leadership skills with a proven ability to deliver outcomes on complex service management initiatives and transformations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information and ideas at all business levels.

  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to assess customer needs, creatively approach solutions, and influence appropriate courses of action.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience deploying, implementing, administering, configuring, and/or developing solutions on the ServiceNow technology platform.

Field & Client Experience

  • Responsible for prescreen inquiries.

Underwriting

  • Responsible for the analysis and appraisal of a broad range of insurance applications; approves, classifies, or declines applications for various ages and policy amounts with guidance, as needed.​

  • Independently reviews applications and adheres to underwriting standards and demonstrates an intermediate level of experience with NM product types and changes. ​

  • Develops and demonstrates change agility while maintaining mortality and morbidity expectations. ​

  • Demonstrates continuous learning through the early adoption of new ways of underwriting. ​

  • Develops proficiency with Reinsurance programs and determining where to best place a case.

  • Underwrites applications, maintaining industry-leading mortality and morbidity giving the best possible offer that can be made. Provides active case and requirement management and provides customized service with guidance. ​

  • Communicates & negotiates with Field Partners to explain modified or declined decisions & assist in policy placement. ​

  • Develops proficiency in financial, medical, and lay underwriting assessments and provides innovations solutions to keep Northwestern Mutual as the choice of our customers.

  • Actively utilizes the most effective means to obtain the necessary information, including digital health data, Internet searches, direct contact with the insured, and communication with third party advisors (Accountants, Attorneys, etc.) with limited guidance.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

  • 1.5 years of traditional underwriting experience.

  • Analytical skills with the ability to make independent decisions and apply sound judgment in the application of rules.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information, and exercise tact, diplomacy, and resourcefulness.

  • Proficient in computer skills and using various software packages.

  • Ability to work accurately while maintaining speed and flexibility in a team and independent production environment.

This position will support the appropriate clinical application of the Coronary/Structural Heart franchise via didactic, web-based, and teleconference education, and understanding of these products and best practices. Clinical support will be provided to physicians, nurses, techs, etc., to include support for live cases/proctorships in the therapeutic areas related to focus products. The Clinical Affairs Manager will drive innovation by identifying product attributes necessary to expand into new markets, or capitalize on new clinical applications; identify new, clinically driven product and market opportunities; and perform other related duties as required. Provide support during society engagements, facilitating the exchange of scientific information in close collaboration with CMA leadership and the broader clinical affairs interventional team.

Support scientific exchanges of information with medical societies. Pre-conference & in-booth educational programs, meetings with scientific committees, education grant support, and research submissions (in collaboration with the Global Research & Scientific Services team). Off-label support for Teleflex products in accordance with Teleflex policy & local legal regulations

Manage utilization of HCPs in accordance with Teleflex IPPs. Coordinate efforts between cross-functional partners, including Medical Affairs, Global Research & Scientific Services, marketing, and R&D. Coordinate, participate, and manage educational, scientific activities at identified local, regional, and national trade shows/exhibitions. Serve as part of the CMA clinical expert team on product applications and troubleshooting when interfacing with SBU Leadership, Clinical Sales Specialists, and Teleflex team members. Participate as a clinical expert on project teams, committees, and in meetings with various corporate departments to provide guidance as to the clinical perspectives for the Coronary/Structural franchise. Build and support infrastructure for speaker programs supporting Teleflex Academy, webinars, training content, and programs. Coordinate and participate in content development and review of education material as needed by IA BU or CMA. Manage all business-associated administrative tasks and responsibilities to support job-related activities, to include strict adherence to the Teleflex Medical T&E policies and procedures, timely filing of required and/or requested reports, and documentation of activities via approved documents and forms. Adhere to applicable Teleflex IPPs, Teleflex Code of Ethics, and all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in clinical, biology, health sciences, or engineering. Procedural experience within Interventional Cardiology and/or Structural Heart Possess a minimum of five years' clinical exposure in the medical field in the Cardiology environment. Medical Device industry supporting Clinical and Medical Affairs, strongly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; SalesForce experience preferred.
