What You’ll Do

• Lead business process improvement initiatives across Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, New Product Development, and Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning

The Role We Want You For

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, related technical degree or relevant work experience in lieu of education.
• 20-25 years of relevant experience, with progressive responsibility and technical knowledge both scope and value of project.
• Technical knowledge and experience of relevant construction methods and systems including:
• Utility relocates and slope stability works.
• Full understanding of multiple mission critical platforms.
• Full understanding and working knowledge of high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage systems. General understanding of BMS and EPMS Systems.

As a Project Engineer, your key responsibilities are to assist the project manager and/or superintendent in one or more aspects of a construction project.

• Coordination with Subs, vendors, suppliers, and Independence Construction project team.
• Administer and monitor compliance with construction contracts with Owners, subcontractors and vendors.
• Coordinate and expedite materials and services for the job site, in conjunction with superintendent.
• Schedule and manage meetings throughout each phase of construction and preconstruction.
• Assist the PM with the management of Project Budget, Budget Revisions, Cost Projections, and Cash Flow Projections. Assist with the generation of reports.
• Review and coordinate structural, architectural and MEP drawings throughout the project.
• Assist PM in the oversight and management of change management processes.
• Collect and analyze the trade contractor proposal for scope changes.
• Review and negotiate the cost for the change in scope to ensure the pricing is accurate and fair for the change in work.
• Log the change management to the correct cost codes.
• Issue the subcontract change order upon approval of the change by Owner and PM.
• Responsible for the entire RFI process (initiate, review the response, maintain a log and distribute to team as appropriate.
• Responsible for the entire submittal process (initiate, review the submittal, maintain a log and distribute to team as appropriate upon approvals.
• Responsible to keep accurate and current at all times the drawing log, submittal log, and RFI log.
• Coordinate all project meetings with PM and Superintendent prior to the start of project.
• Attend Owner / Architect / CM (Contractor) meetings.
• Collect, review and process subcontractor payment applications as assigned by the PM. Assist in compiling owner payment applications.
• Assist the Superintendent and PM as requested in creating and updating the Master Schedule.
• Quality Control and Quality Assurance - Work with the team (PM, PX, Supt.) for the development of the project QA/QC program.
• Assist PM and Superintendent with Close-out process.
• Assist with the preliminary punch list process.
• Coordinate owner-requested warranty requirements during the warranty period.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of previous related experience is required
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of budgeting and expense control.
• Able to write reports, and business correspondence.
• Able to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
• Able to perform duties independently.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office applications.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will design, build, and deploy software applications, services, and systems that advance the scientific capabilities of CAS Custom Services, offering expert scientific knowledge management consulting and custom informatics solutions. As a member of an Agile team, you will work closely with product owners and teammates to refine backlogs, groom epics and user stories, and prepare for upcoming sprints. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of project processes, the ability to collaborate effectively, and a proactive approach to solving technical challenges.

Job Duties:

Software Development

• Design, develop, and enhance complex software applications, services, and systems across multiple Agile delivery teams, applying advanced engineering principles to deliver high‑quality CAS products and solutions.
• Exercise independent technical judgment to evaluate requirements, propose architectures, and implement scalable, maintainable code aligned with organizational standards and emerging best practices.

Backlog & Sprint Collaboration

• Partner strategically with product owners and cross‑functional teammates to refine and prioritize, ensuring clarity of scope, feasibility, and alignment with broader product roadmaps.
• Leverage domain expertise to influence backlog quality, identify dependencies, mitigate risks, and shape sprint deliverables that advance product and organizational objectives.

DevOps, Automation, and Engineering Excellence

• Champion modern engineering practices by advancing automated testing frameworks, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and robust change‑control methodologies.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization, proactively improving reliability, efficiency, and speed of delivery across the development lifecycle.

Cross-Functional Engagement & Influence

• Build influential relationships with stakeholders across CAS to align technical execution with business needs, resolve cross‑team challenges, and accelerate shared outcomes.
• Serve as a trusted technical partner, contributing expertise, anticipating impacts, and ensuring solutions integrate effectively across functions.

• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and industry trends, proactively assessing their application to CAS solutions and influencing team adoption of modern tools, patterns, and practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree: Computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software development and application delivery experience
