Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for complex projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of all trades, site utilities, all types of earth support systems and contaminated soils. We are looking for a candidate that has experience in bidding work in Boston and outside of Boston with good communication skills. The ability to work collaboratively with project managers, vendors, and clients. This is a key position that supports competitive bidding and successful project execution.

Responsibilities

• Review of all documents, drawings, pricing, bonds, insurance and minority reporting
• Bid jobs contact subs for pricing on all scopes
• Scope reviews with general contractors
• Once awarded the project package together with project manager for in house kick off meeting
• Assist Project Manager, if needed, with full closeout of projects
• Estimate 1 – 2 jobs per week

The Mission Critical Center of Excellence manages billions of dollars in projects annually, specializing in data center and mission-critical construction for leading technology and telecommunications clients across the United States. Department and Staff Management:

Unit Cost Pricing:

• Prepare detailed take off of materials by clearly understanding the complexity of the scope(s) of work as shown on the construction documents.
• Prepare detailed labor estimates utilizing production hours, crews and equipment.
• Organize the material and labor information for pricing.
• Solicit material prices from suppliers.
• Obtain current labor rates.
• Prepare unit prices by "Building the Project in your Head."
• Verify and compare your unit prices or the price of a system with a subcontractor and previous similar estimates.
• Review all unit pricing on projects prepared by the Estimator. Make changes as required.
• Understand the influence of market conditions on pricing.
• Track all current market conditions.

Bid Activities:

• Review or compile GC's with the Senior Estimator and review with senior management.
• Assure on time delivery of bids and estimates, reviewing final plans and specifications with the Estimating team.
• Review of subcontractor selection and scopes and subcontractor/trade close outs on bid day.
• Review scope sheets and pricing with Estimating team members, ensuring that trade summary ties into bid form.
• Close out the subcontractor bid process.
• Review plans and specs with the lead Estimator.
• Assist the lead Estimator in directing additional staff assignments on bid day.
• Manage bid day activities by ensuring completion of bid forms, managing the clock and trying to develop a competitive advantage.
• Follow up with the client regarding bid results.
• Make Subcontractor, A/E fees, overhead, and fee recommendations to upper management.
• Identify pre-construction fees for Suffolk, where applicable

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field
• 15+ years of experience estimating Mission Critical projects
• Quantity Surveys, Take off skills, Computer Skills
• Working knowledge of Excel spread sheets, and Word processing programs

• Knowledge of the contents of each CSI section.

Responsibilities of the Construction Supervisor:

· The primary point of contact on the jobsite, responsible for all subcontractors from the first shovel to the client move-in.

• Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related disciplines is required, or have 5-10 years of experience in related construction fields

• Ability to read blueprints, and perform quantity take-offs.

What You’ll Be Doing

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from award through close-out, acting as the primary liaison between the client, GC, architects, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing commercial architectural millwork and office fit-out projects from kickoff through installation
• Coordinating directly with General Contractors, architects, designers, and internal engineering teams
• Developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work
• Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
• Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Conducting site visits as needed and supporting field coordination
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
• Serving as a trusted representative of the company in the Boston market

What We’re Looking For (Must-Haves)

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the architectural millwork industry (mandatory)
• Demonstrated success managing GC-contracted office fit-out and custom millwork projects
• Experience collaborating with architects and design professionals
• Strong understanding of millwork manufacturing workflows and field installation
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote/home-office environment
• Located in or near the Greater Boston area

Role Description

We are seeking a full-time a skilled Back End Developer to join our team on-site in Danvers, MA. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining back-end architecture to support platform functionality. Responsibilities include implementing robust and scalable APIs, optimizing server-side logic, collaborating with front-end developers, and troubleshooting issues to continuously enhance performance. The developer will also ensure the quality and security of data handling and participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development
• Experience with Python and at least one systems level language (C, C++, Rust, etc.)
• Experience with Django or similar production scale backends
• Basic understanding of Front-End Development to facilitate collaboration with front-end teams
• Experience with Postgres or other relation databases with and without an ORM.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Proven track record in delivering scalable and secure software solutions
• Have a passion for software development, clearly demonstrate real engagement with completed personal projects or contributions to open source.
