Work with engineers, architects, designers, and other technical professionals in the office and at project sites

Lead project execution and design through the entire project life cycle, from concept to construction to start-up activities

Oversee the preparation of plans, specifications, and contract documents

Manage project timelines, budgets, scopes, changes, and risk

Proactively and collaboratively solve design problems

Evaluate project progress and adjust critical path for scope completion and budget adherence

Manage client communications and expectations

A working knowledge of a broad range of engineering disciplines including civil/site work, structural, architectural, mechanical systems (refrigeration, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, hot water, domestic water, compressed air, plumbing, HVAC), and electrical power distribution

Plant engineering experience (preferred)

Project execution experience of projects within an A/E/C design firm

Experience with facility utility design projects for manufacturing and distribution clients

The ability to execute presentations, manage client relationships, and successfully interact with team members

Solid computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Project

Your Mission:
We are on the lookout for driven and results-oriented net new Account Executives to join our dynamic new business sales team at Engine. Compensation

13.Meets turnaround time expectations by prioritizing and organizing the workload for the shift. Monitors the pending list periodically to ensure the turnaround time of all samples.
14.Utilizes time effectively and seeks out additional job duties when shift tasks are complete. Completes work without incurring overtime. Assists fellow workers in finishing shift tasks. Adheres to the defined allotted time for breaks and lunch.
15.Required to obtain and document 12 hours of laboratory continuing education per year. Required to prepare and present a minimum of 15 minutes of continuing education within the department. Required to prepare and present one inter-laboratory continuing education presentation per year. Prepares and presents quality improvement initiatives accomplished in the laboratory.
16.Accepts and/or volunteers for method evaluations and new procedure development or other special projects and completes them within an agreed-upon time frame. Participates in procedure implementation and training of new staff and students. Required to identify, participate, and lead in process improvement projects.
17.Required to perform the duties of the tech-in-charge for specified periods. Oversees operations according to departmental guidelines. Understands when to defer issues to appropriate personnel, for example, a supervisor or director, and does so.
18.Reviews lab results as required and takes appropriate action before verification and release. Recognizes and calls critical results within defined time frames. Reviews paper-generated results and transcribes them accurately into the Lab Information System. Review of others' results.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Experience in one or more of the following: engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, heating and air conditioning
  • Knowledge of health and safety compliance
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina, lift heavy objects, and walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license
  • Where required by State/Local law, maintain ASE Certifications in Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), Heating Air Conditioning (A7), Electrical (A6), Engine Repair (A1), Manual Drive Train and Axles (A3), Engine Performance (A8), and Automatic Transmission/Transaxle (A2)

$22.20 - $38.90

This position is eligible for commission.

Benefits:

Except as otherwise required by state law, CarMax Associates are entitled to the following paid sick, vacation, and holiday time.

Associates that are considered full-time hourly or commissioned are eligible:

  • To earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year accrued on a per pay period basis and between 80 hours and 200 hours per year of vacation time after a 90 day waiting period depending on years of continuous service with the Company. 
  • For 8 hours of pay for each of a total of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday.  If such an Associate does work on a scheduled holiday due to business need, they are eligible for Holiday Premium Pay. 

Associates considered full-time salaried are entitled to paid time away with no specified limit as needed for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc. subject to manager approval.
