Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Follow directions from setup sheets.
  • Load fixtures on tombstones.
  • Load and unload parts from CNC machine pallet fixtures.
  • Create jobs for production using Fastems.
  • Inspect machined parts at the load station after machining.
  • Keep parts organized and counted.
  • Recognize dull tooling used in the manufacturing process.
  • Deburr parts after removing from fixtures.
  • Communicate effectively with load cell leads, machinists, and supervisors.
  • Maintain cleanliness of machines, tools, and work area.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • 2 years of experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and thread gauges preferred.
  • 2 years of experience working in a machine shop environment preferred.
  • Completion of a machining trade school or degree program preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), ASME Y14.5, and blueprint reading.
  • Ability to use computers proficiently.
  • Reliable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment & Schedule:
  • Full-time position, Monday through Thursday, 3:15 PM - 1:45 AM.

Job Summary:

  • The qualified candidate must have demonstrated the ability to analyze and perform pursue/no pursue and bid/no bid recommendations and develop pursuit strategies for new business opportunities.   • This position requires the ability to walk and maintain balance over rough, icy, or muddy ground, climb stairs and ladders, work safely at heights without fear, and to work effectively while exposed to the weather for long periods.


Education:

Four-year University degree, preferably in engineering, architecture, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
