Position Summary
The Materials Manager is responsible for planning, purchasing, inventory control, and material flow to support production in a heavy metal fabrication, generator enclosures and related components space. This role ensures the timely availability of raw materials, fabricated components and purchased parts while maintaining optimal inventory levels, controlling costs, formulating production schedules and supporting on-time delivery to customers.
The Materials Manager works closely with production, engineering, quality and suppliers to ensure materials meet specifications and are available to support fabrication, welding, machining, finishing and assembly operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Planning & Production Support
- Develop and manage material requirements to support production schedules for generator enclosures and heavy fabricated assemblies.
- Coordinate with production planning and scheduling to ensure material availability aligns with manufacturing demand.
- Monitor material shortages and implement corrective actions to prevent production delays.
- Manage systems to maintain accurate demand forecasts and inventory levels.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Oversee purchasing of raw materials including steel sheet, plate, structural components, hardware, electrical components and outsourced fabrication services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, reliable delivery and consistent quality.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules with key suppliers.
Scheduling & Material Flow
- Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, material handling, storage and internal distribution to production.
- Ensure efficient movement of materials through fabrication, welding, finishing and assembly processes.
- Implement best practices for material staging and kitting to support manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety and material handling standards.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on material specifications and supplier qualification.
- Support new product introductions and engineering changes affecting material requirements.
- Work with finance to manage inventory valuation and cost control initiatives.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements in material flow, supplier performance, and inventory management.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives and waste reduction efforts.
- Track and report key performance metrics such as inventory turns, supplier on-time delivery, and material availability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business or related experience.
- 5+ years of experience in materials management, purchasing, or supply chain leadership in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in metal fabrication, heavy manufacturing, or industrial equipment manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, inventory control, and production planning.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Value Stream Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of daily operations within a defined value stream to exceed customer expectations. This includes ensuring production output, product quality, and on-time delivery while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and support Lean manufacturing principles. The role also includes managing budgets, developing and mentoring team members, and fostering a culture of accountability and performance. Oversight of contracted trades and engineering support—based on capacity needs—is managed through coordination with Production and Engineering Supervisors to ensure seamless execution of operational goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Drive world-class operations in a one or more Value Streams by fostering a culture of Lean thinking and continuous improvement to enhance operational capability, optimize cost structure, and better serve customers in collaboration with cross-functional peers.
- Lead all manufacturing activities of one or more Value Streams by engaging directly with associates and team members, identifying and eliminating waste to improve safety, product quality, delivery performance, and labor productivity.
- Develop a team that includes Production Supervisors, Process Engineers, and Planners, Project Engineers, ensuring alignment with operational goals and performance standards.
- Oversee the deployment, execution, and accountability of SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) boards across assigned areas to drive daily performance management.
- Serve as a backup to Production Supervisors and partner cross-functionally with other departments to support and drive operational initiatives.

EXPERIENCE:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with demonstrated experience in production scheduling, capacity planning, and performance reporting.
- Basic familiarity with production layouts or schematics (e.g., AutoCAD or similar tools) is helpful but not required; ability to interpret technical drawings and collaborate with engineering teams is expected.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor cross-functional teams, including supervisors, engineers, and planners.
- Experience in the marine, heavy industrial, or discrete manufacturing sectors is strongly preferred; familiarity with regulated environments (e.g., ISO, AS9100, or Classification Society standards) is a plus.
- Demonstrated application of Lean manufacturing principles, including Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis, with the ability to train and guide teams in their use.
- Supervisory experience managing both hourly and salaried staff, preferably in a value stream or production line setting, with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) metrics.

How will you make an impact?
The Lead Electrical CAD Designer will be responsible for creating detailed model designs, modifying existing designs, and working collaboratively with engineers and other team members to meet product specifications. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of various electrical design tools, is detail-oriented, and can effectively communicate design ideas. A strong understanding of Electrical design principles, manufacturing processes, power distribution, automation control (PLC), and electronic device parts are critical. This role will involve selecting key components, developing detailed drawings for control panels, power distribution systems, electrical wiring, and transitioning design to manufacturing.

- Creating 2D and 3D models of electrical systems, particularly for complex projects or when visualization is needed

You and your team will be responsible for contributing to the end-to-end architecture, definition, development and production deployment of production software applications and infrastructure spanning multiple customers and manufacturing regions. We are seeking a highly skilled, technically proficient and detail-oriented Principal Mechanical Engineer with expertise in metal structures, frame design, pipes and fabrication to support the development of power and cooling infrastructure for data centers. This role is critical in designing robust mechanical systems that house and support electrical and thermal management equipment, ensuring structural integrity, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards.
What will you do?
- Experience designing and integrating hydronic systems including pumps, piping networks, valves, and heat exchangers for data center cooling applications.
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics, pressure drop calculations, and pipe sizing for chilled water and glycol-based systems.
- Understanding of installation constraints, maintenance access, and serviceability in large-scale mechanical infrastructure.
- Design and develop mechanical frames, enclosures, and support structures for data center power and cooling products (UPS systems, battery racks, CRAC units, containment systems, LVS, MVS).
- Perform advanced structural analysis using FEA tools to validate mechanical integrity under static, dynamic, seismic, and thermal loads.
- Analyze load paths, stress concentrations, and fatigue life of structural components to ensure long-term reliability.
- Design metal enclosures with considerations for airflow, thermal containment, EMI shielding, and environmental protection.
- Evaluate and implement new materials, coatings, and fabrication technologies to enhance product performance and reliability.
- Participate in customer engagements and site visits to understand deployment constraints and gather feedback for design improvements.
