The Raytheon Hardware Engineering (HWE) Organization leads the mechanical-electrical hardware design, development and production of critical defense systems. The HWE Team uses state-of-the-art tools, processes, technology, and Raytheon's CORE principles. HWE's capabilities encompass a broad range of technical disciplines which include engineering, manufacturing, technical services, materials, processes, analysis, test, and documentation.

The Radar Mechanical Design Department leads mechanical design, development, and integration of some of the most innovative land-based and shipboard radars in the world. This includes phased array radar systems, electronic modules, pedestals, and power and liquid cooling systems. The department comprises individuals with technical expertise and experience in all phases of hardware design, integration, and production support.

This role is for a Principal Cooling Systems Engineer to support cooling and hydraulic systems used in a variety of harsh environmental military applications. Our primary role is to design and support the fabrication, testing, and installation of custom liquid-cooled systems for radars. We also support custom air-cooling of power and communication shelters.

This position is in Marlborough, MA. (On-site)

What You Will Do

Working collaboratively with our customers to establish cooling systems requirements
Mechanical design, analysis, and documentation of cooling hardware and systems
Selection of components including pumps and heat exchangers
Drawing generation, drawing release, and drawing change incorporation
Resolution of change requests from manufacturing or suppliers
Provide technical conscience, challenged with making sure the product and process meet appropriate standards and requirements.
Factory and supplier support of product integration domestically and internationally
Willingness to travel to domestic Raytheon sites, suppliers, and government facilities

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience.
Experience in the fields of Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and/or Heat Transfer
Minimum 8 years of engineering project experience involving cooling systems – liquid cooling or air cooling
Experience in solid modeling tools such as Pro/Engineer, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or similar tool
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

The Ground & Maritime Defense Radar Software Department is seeking a Software Integration Lead for the SPY-6 Family of Radars Product Integration Team. The Software Integration Lead will prepare, test and integrate final software, operating system, and firmware delivery of the SPY-6 configurations to Raytheon In-plant tactical strings, Land Based Test Sites (LBTSs) and Ships.

They will work closely with the Digital Radar Product Line software team, SPY-6 subcontractors, and all other providers of SPY-6 software and firmware to coordinate receipt of digital products and automate the packaging and deployment for all SPY-6 domestic and international locations. The Software Integration Lead will work to standardize delivery process and configuration management for use by the entire family of radars for SPY-6.

The Department's mission is to provide world class Radar Software to be used in military systems deployed at sea and on land. Our software teams employ an Agile Scrum process to rapidly design, code, integrate and test capabilities on a continuous basis into a mature solution for our customers.

This position is full-time on-site in Marlborough, Massachusetts.

What You Will Do

Lead and manage software integration and testing efforts for the Tactical Radar Program in an agile environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate System Adjustable Parameters (SAPs) and ensure accurate identification of changes.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules to validate system functionality and performance.
Conduct extended software endurance testing on tactical hardware and strings to ensure system reliability and robustness under prolonged operational conditions.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex problems identified during endurance testing, software builds, and site-specific issues, providing timely resolutions to maintain program schedules.
Develop and provide software metrics for each of the SPY-6 release branches to internal and external customers.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to establish and maintain build handoffs and operational transitions between various testing sites.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure successful execution of the software integration and test phases.
Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and compelling technical briefings and reports to customers, effectively "telling the story" of program progress and results.
Maintain strict adherence to quality assurance standards, safety protocols, and program compliance requirements.
Act as the primary point of contact for software-related test activities, coordinating efforts across engineering disciplines to achieve program goals.

We are looking for an experienced leader in experimentation methodology to join our core Applied ML team. The Applied AI and Machine Learning team handles large-scale data to support many business areas. We develop a cohesive navigation experience across channels and web pages. Our goal is to simplify and improve the shopping experience for everyday entrepreneurs worldwide, helping them quickly find what they need on our website.

In this leadership role, you will enhance the strategic direction of our experimentation methodology efforts. You will use simulations and reinforcement learning, ensuring consistency with business objectives, and supporting cross-functional teams in data-informed experimentation solutions. You will guide teams working at the intersection of large-scale foundation models, multi-agent systems, and RL-based optimization, encouraging a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.

Define and drive the strategic roadmap for AI driven experimentation methodology, aligning initiatives with organizational goals and business impact
Supervise and mentor teams of scientists and engineers, providing technical guidance and career development
Promote meticulous experimentation, including the development of simulation environments and robust evaluation frameworks using machine learning and RL
Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate research outcomes into scalable, production-ready experimentation solutions
Facilitate knowledge sharing and cultivate a collaborative, innovative environment across the Applied ML team and broader organization

Your experience should include...

3+ years of professional experience managing and leading high-performing teams, including mentoring and coaching team member to achieve organizational goals
5+ years of professional experience in experimentation methodology, Reinforcement Learning, and software development
2 + years of professional with experimentation platforms, data pipelines, and analytical tools to guide methodological rigor
A deep understanding of statistical principles, causal inference, and experimental design for large-scale digital products
A track record of partnering effectively with experimentation platform teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to drive data-informed decision-making
5+ years of professional experience translating complex statistical concepts into actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences
The ability to define and implement a vision for experimentation best practices across diverse product areas
