Job Title : Oceanography Category / Component: Officer • Both Overview Oceanography (OCEANO) Officers, also called METOC, are the Navy's geophysical experts who understand and apply all facets of meteorology, oceanography, hydrography, bathymetry, geophysics, and precise time and astrometry.
Their mission is to define and apply the physical environment, from the bottom of the ocean to the stars, to ensure the U.S.
Navy has the freedom of action to deter aggression, maintain freedom of the seas, and win wars.
Key Responsibilities Provide timely and relevant support to fleet and joint operations by leading the collection, processing, prediction, exploitation, and dissemination of environmental data.
Ensure safety of navigation, access to denied waters, freedom to maneuver at will, and increase the lethality of Navy forces.
Lead teams ranging from small 3-4 person deployable units to large commands of over 400 personnel.
Serve as the one-of-one geophysical expert at an operational command.
What to Expect Serve in a variety of challenging operational billets with increasing scope and responsibility, both at sea and ashore.

Sea duty may include leading small team detachments on U.S.

Pathways, Training & Advancement Initial training includes the 3-week Information Warfare Basic Course (IWBC) and the 7-week Basic Oceanography Accession Training (BOAT).

Postgraduate education at the Naval Postgraduate School is required for officers at the LCDR level and senior, typically as mid-grade Lieutenants.
Promotions to LTJG and LT occur at 2 and 4 years of service, with competitive promotion opportunities to LCDR, CDR, CAPT, and Flag Officer ranks.
Requires a Baccalaureate degree, preferably in a technical field, with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or greater.
Must have completed a full college calculus series (I and II) with a minimum 'C' average, and a college-level calculus-based physics series (I and II) with a minimum 'B' average.
A desired degree is in physics, physics-based oceanography, meteorology, hydrography, earth science, engineering, or mathematics.

Job Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the coordination, planning, and supervision of the maintenance team. This position is focused on driving maintenance-related area improvement with cross-functional teams and overseeing the successful implementation of area maintenance projects. - Review maintenance history, identify key opportunities for improvement, and establish site specific projects to address needed changes.
- Audit maintenance task quality, track work orders, and report on area maintenance activity and performance.
- Participate in appropriate site meetings (pod, planning, leadership, and employee meetings) and work with Maintenance leadership on corporate initiatives.

- Audit maintenance standard work, task quality, track work orders, and report on area maintenance activity and performance.

- Coordinate with vendors to meet the needs of the area maintenance team.

Position Responsibilities:
Perform various duties using hand or power tools, including staking, filing, trimming, sawing, buffing, drilling, sanding, and filling to facilitate assigned tasks.
Sort, count, wrap, unwrap, and clean parts, tools, assemblies, or equipment as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas by sweeping, cleaning, and picking up materials and parts.
Move, pack, and unpack boxes, materials, parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring proper handling and storage.
Apply identification numbers or letters (part marks) to parts, materials, or assemblies using various marking methods (e.g., steel, rubber, electro-etch).
Rack and unrack tubes and materials, applying dust caps and seals, and verifying configuration discrepancies against samples.
Assist higher classification employees with mechanical and paint duties, including filling pots, moving lifts, and setting up/removing painting equipment.
Maintain surveillance in paint and assembly areas, ensuring safety procedures are followed and assisting incapacitated employees as needed.
Perform masking processes, including applying masking tape and protective materials to parts in preparation for painting or plating operations.
Finish contoured and flat surfaces to required specifications using abrasive materials prior to and after painting, including hand touch-ups.
Clean and service paint spray application equipment, including tanks, brushes, and hoses, after use.
Review Work Orders (WOs) and drawings to determine work requirements and obtain necessary tools and specifications using online computing equipment.
Operate and maintain the video jet marking machine, ensuring proper fluid levels and cleanliness of heads.
Assist in the anodizing process by loading and unloading detail parts on/off the load bar and performing low-pressure tests on tubing.
Count, load, and protective wrap finished production parts for shipment to the next operation, and log completed jobs into the Decac MRM system.
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.
Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.
Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.
Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications:
1+ years of experience using basic math (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)

Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the plant employees and guests on site comply with safety and environmental practices – lead by example and build a safety first culture
- Lead production scheduling to meet customer needs including timely delivery
- Develop a keen focus on customer service and proactive communication across the team
- Partner with the engineering team to ensure proper drawings and designs are being used during the manufacturing process
- Purchase material/services to successfully operate the facility
- Successfully hire, supervise, orient, train and retain operations/product staff
- Promote and maintain a clean workplace that is “tour-ready” at all times
- Ability to read drawings, plan production tasks from those drawings, and coach employees to produce product correctly
- Ability to operate some of the standard tools on the plant floor such as overhead cranes, hand tools, batch plant, etc. While the Plant Manager will not be asked to operate these things continuously, having some of these skills will make him/her a better coach and troubleshooter
- Be a leader and coach leadership. Motivate crews during morning huddles. Lead effective Mid-Day meetings. Coach Leads on how to set expectations on a whiteboard and have them followed. Lead inventory counts. Promote safety best practices in meetings with other Plant Managers
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the General Manager as deemed appropriate and necessary by them
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Engineering or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience working in a leadership role in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience with precast/concrete or building materials is a plus
- Proven track record of developing, leading and maintaining a continuous improvement mindset at the plant
- Ability to work on your feet for the majority of the day in a production/plant environment subject to areas that are unheated and/or non-air conditioned
- Ability to work with computer as necessary (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AX)
- Ability to lead and direct other individuals and work with other group leaders

6+ Months Contract
Primary Responsibilities
• Create, verify, and revise Machine Control Data (MCD), tooling geometry, and setup documentation for multi-axis CNC machines (primarily 5-axis).
• Interpret engineering drawings, planning documentation, and manufacturing requirements to develop robust NC programs for aluminum and hard-metal parts.
• Develop multiple setups and operations for complex part geometries, ensuring fixturing, tooling, and machine selection support producibility and tolerances.
• Produce clear setup sheets and operator instructions that enable consistent and safe machine operation.
• Use simulation/verification tools (e.g., Vericut) to validate programs and eliminate collisions or gouges prior to shop-floor execution.
• Troubleshoot and iterate programs based on first-article inspections, in-process feedback, and shop-floor testing.
• Coordinate with planning, manufacturing engineering, tooling design, and machine operators to optimize cycle times, reduce scrap, and address manufacturability concerns.
• For Level 4: Lead the design of custom fixtures and complex tooling arrangements and define machining strategies across multiple operations and machines.
• Maintain program documentation, revisions, and configuration control per company/contract requirements.
• Work under minimal direction.
Required Skills
• 7+ years of NC programming experience for production machining or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience programming 5-axis CNC machines for aerospace parts (aluminum and hard metals).
• Proficiency reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation.
• Proficient in CATIA V5 NC programming.
• Proficient in NC simulation/verification tools such as Vericut.
• Ability to create clear setup documentation and operator instructions.
• Able to work 2nd shift schedule as specified.
• Contractor eligibility to work under the terms of the engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience creating custom fixtures and tooling for multi-setup machining operations
• Experience defining machining strategy and selecting appropriate machines and processes for part families.
• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes, inspection practices, and first-article requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of reducing cycle times or improving producibility.
• Effective communicator with experience collaborating across planning, engineering, and shop-floor teams.
• Experience with additional CAM systems or post-processors commonly used in aerospace environments.
