Position Overview:

PTS Advance is seeking an experienced MEP Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical building systems design and proven expertise in Revit for modeling and documentation. You'll play a key role in developing HVAC, plumbing, and piping designs for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for building projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
  • Create and coordinate 3D models and detailed construction documents using Revit.

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining all environmental, health, and safety programs within a manufacturing environment. This role works directly on the production floor to ensure compliance with OSHA and state regulations, reduce workplace hazards, and promote a proactive, safety-first culture. The EH&S Coordinator serves as a key partner to operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership to drive continuous safety improvement.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Support compliance with OSHA and state regulatory requirements applicable to manufacturing operations, including timely submission of applicable OSHA and other regulatory reporting
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of EH&S policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Conduct regular production floor inspections, job safety analyses (JSAs), and risk assessments.
  • Respond to workplace incidents and near misses on the manufacturing floor.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, documentation of corrective actions, associated training of operators, and close out of incident cases.
  • Provide quarterly incident and corrective action summary review to/for local management team.
  • Train employees on machine safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, hazard communication, and emergency response.
  • Lead and document annual hearing and auditory testing.
  • Drive daily and regular PPE compliance.
  • Support first aid supplies management process


Additional Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain EH&S documentation, permits, logs, and records (OSHA 300/301, SDS, training records).
  • Support workers’ compensation reporting and injury case management as assigned.
  • Analyze incident trends and provide actionable recommendations to reduce recurrence.
  • Support safety committees and encourage employee participation in safety initiatives.
  • Promote safety awareness through toolbox talks, signage, and continuous communication.
  • Communicate with and support other sites across the enterprise to ensure consistency across the organization.


Professional Experience & Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, or related field — or equivalent manufacturing EH&S experience.
  • 1–3 years of EH&S or safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, machine guarding, LOTO, and hazard communication.
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on the manufacturing floor and interact with employees at all levels.


Role Specific Competencies:

  • OSHA 30-Hour certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Experience with industrial ergonomics, machine guarding, and contractor safety.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Coordinate inspections, audits, and regulatory visits as needed.
