SCOPE OF THE ROLE:
Assemblers ensure all products are made safely, with the highest quality, and in an efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
/n
- Reads and interprets detail sheets, Bills of Material, route sheets, and Assembly instructions.
/n
- Prepares product to be painted, mixes paint, and paints units with proper equipment according to required specifications when applicable.
/n
- Verifies proper test specifications and tests products to assure predetermined quality standards are met.
/n
- Packs products as specified on detail sheets and Bills of Material to insure safe delivery of product.
/n
- Operates as a team player at prescribed performance levels consistent with quality.
/n
- Notifies leader of defective materials or faulty operations.
/n
- Aids in maintaining proper flow within the work cell
/n
- Performs all other duties as requested.

We are looking to hire for the position of Plating for our Benton Harbor, MI facility.
Experience and skills will determine classification and pay rate.
Responsibilities: Perform all necessary tasks associated with electroplating operations including but not limited to the following: scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of plating solution, tanks, pumps, filters and other equipment associated with the process.
Performance of work is under direct supervision.
Preparation of parts: hand finishing, masking and installation of hangers and contacts.
Pre-treatment of parts: removal of grease, oil, and residues utilizing chemical or cleaning solutions.
Plating of parts: operating overhead crane to submerge part into plating tank.
Unmask parts after removal from plating tank.
Other work may be assigned at Management’s discretion.
Education/Experience/Certification Required: High School or Equivalent Experience and skills will determine pay rate and classification Crane/Forklift Certification – In-house training provided to obtain certification Driver’s license.

Job Title : Nuclear Engineer (Naval Reactors Engineer) Category / Component : Officer • Active Overview Design, regulate, and oversee the Navy's nuclear propulsion program, including reactor design, fleet operations, and eventual defueling and decommissioning of nuclear powered ships and submarines from Naval Reactors Headquarters and associated Department of Energy laboratories and shipyards.
Key Responsibilities Provide technical direction in areas such as reactor and fluid systems design, reactor physics, materials development, component design for steam generators, pumps, and valves, instrumentation and control for reactor and propulsion plants, testing and quality control, radiation shielding, and chemistry and radiological controls; review designs and analyses from laboratories, shipyards, and industry partners; coordinate with fleet units to ensure safe and reliable nuclear plant operation.
What to Expect Assume significant technical responsibility early in your career as part of a lean headquarters staff; work primarily in an analytical and oversight role rather than operating plants at sea; balance long term engineering projects with time sensitive fleet and shipyard issues; frequent coordination with senior civilian engineers, naval officers, and technical teams; high expectations for attention to detail, judgment, and written and oral communication.

Pathways, Training & Advancement Officer commissioning through programs such as Officer Candidate School or the Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate program followed by a structured technical qualification program at Naval Reactors; rotational exposure to laboratories, prototypes, shipyards, and fleet support issues; progressive responsibility leading projects and becoming a subject matter expert, with opportunities for professional military education and advanced graduate study in technical fields.
Entry through the Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate program for qualified college students and recent graduates, or selection via Officer Candidate School for those who already hold qualifying degrees; all applicants must meet Nuclear Propulsion Program academic and technical screening standards in addition to general officer commissioning requirements.

Responsibilities: Performs tasks in support of Bay 3 Machine Assembly operations such as disassembly/assembly of various types of machinery and mechanical assemblies, staging, cleaning, inspection, welding, torching, painting, material movement, etc.
Secondly, may be assigned tasks to support workflow in other areas of the organization.
Assembles component parts, sub-assemblies or completed units.
Includes electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, structural products, instrument, air/hydraulic piping and plastic parts assembly.
Must be knowledgeable in machine assembly techniques to ensure proper fits, clearances, finishes, travels, limits, lubrications, preservations, etc.
Some background in hydraulic systems and operations preferred, mandrels experience a plus.
Uses hand tools, small power tools, precision measuring tools and other special equipment.
Receives detailed written and verbal instructions on all work.
Proficient at reading and interpreting blue prints and schematics.
Proficient at the use of micrometers and other precision measuring tools.
Use of heavy lifting equipment, cranes and forklifts.
Lift rigging required.
Other work may be assigned at Management’s direction.
