Trek Store Okemos
As Service Manager, you'll be the operations lead for your store's Service Centerand you'll be the one who's ultimately accountable for all decisions relating to workflow, staffing of mechanics, and KPIs to ensure every customer has the best experience.
You'll be the primary service advisor at the shop, integrating the sales and service experience, while holding your team accountable for delivering Trek's signature hospitality. That means you'll need to be a great communicator and leader who knows how to get the best out of your colleagues.
You'll train your team, engage with customers to recommend the right service at the right time, manage and control service costs, keep service orders organized, ensure a clean and efficient department and take an active lead in ensuring the right bikes are built and delivered to the sales floor and your customers. Excellent communication skills are a must, as you will manage all communication from the Service Department to customers and write more than 50% of the work orders for the shop.
This role is right for someone with high energy and a constant learning engine who can see the forest and the trees. You'll be challenged to develop your employees, find efficiencies by reviewing service reports, and anticipate your shop's needs so both the service and sales teams are set up for success.

Job Title : Nuclear Engineer (Naval Reactors Engineer) Category / Component : Officer • Active Overview Design, regulate, and oversee the Navy's nuclear propulsion program, including reactor design, fleet operations, and eventual defueling and decommissioning of nuclear powered ships and submarines from Naval Reactors Headquarters and associated Department of Energy laboratories and shipyards.
Key Responsibilities Provide technical direction in areas such as reactor and fluid systems design, reactor physics, materials development, component design for steam generators, pumps, and valves, instrumentation and control for reactor and propulsion plants, testing and quality control, radiation shielding, and chemistry and radiological controls; review designs and analyses from laboratories, shipyards, and industry partners; coordinate with fleet units to ensure safe and reliable nuclear plant operation.
What to Expect Assume significant technical responsibility early in your career as part of a lean headquarters staff; work primarily in an analytical and oversight role rather than operating plants at sea; balance long term engineering projects with time sensitive fleet and shipyard issues; frequent coordination with senior civilian engineers, naval officers, and technical teams; high expectations for attention to detail, judgment, and written and oral communication.
Work Environment Work mainly at Naval Reactors Headquarters in the Washington, District of Columbia area with regular engagement with Department of Energy laboratories, nuclear training sites, shipyards, and nuclear powered ships and submarines; office based work that includes document reviews, technical meetings, inspections, and site visits rather than day to day shipboard watchstanding.
Pathways, Training & Advancement Officer commissioning through programs such as Officer Candidate School or the Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate program followed by a structured technical qualification program at Naval Reactors; rotational exposure to laboratories, prototypes, shipyards, and fleet support issues; progressive responsibility leading projects and becoming a subject matter expert, with opportunities for professional military education and advanced graduate study in technical fields.
Entry through the Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate program for qualified college students and recent graduates, or selection via Officer Candidate School for those who already hold qualifying degrees; all applicants must meet Nuclear Propulsion Program academic and technical screening standards in addition to general officer commissioning requirements.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
1. Design and lead comprehensive performance testing strategies to validate system behavior under load, stress, and peak conditions. Align these strategies with business requirements and project goals
2. Create, configure, and execute complex test scripts in JMeter to simulate real-world usage scenarios and workload patterns. Optimize and troubleshoot scripts to achieve accurate and reliable performance assessments.
3. Utilize Dynatrace for continuous performance monitoring, tracking key application metrics (response time, throughput, resource utilization) and diagnosing issues in real-time to support proactive performance management.
4. Integrate performance testing and monitoring tools within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ensuring that performance issues are identified and addressed early in the development lifecycle.
5. Perform in-depth capacity planning analysis, determining optimal infrastructure requirements to handle projected workloads and recommending strategies for scaling applications in Kubernetes environments.
6. Use Bitbucket for version control of test scripts, configurations, and related documentation, fostering effective collaboration and change tracking within performance engineering teams.
7. Collaborate with development, DevOps, and operations teams to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and recommend tuning or architectural changes to improve application performance and scalability.
8. Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications running in Kubernetes clusters, ensuring efficient use of resources, autoscaling configurations, and resilience under load.
9. Generate detailed performance reports and dashboards that present test results, analysis, and insights for various stakeholders, including senior management and engineering teams.
10. Conduct root cause analysis for complex performance issues, using Dynatrace and other diagnostics tools to trace issues to specific components, services, or resource configurations.
11. Initiate proactive approach to advocate for performance engineering best practices, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in performance testing and monitoring processes.
12. Document test strategies, configurations, tuning recommendations, and lessons learned, ensuring continuity and knowledge sharing within the team. These responsibilities ensure a strong focus on performance optimization, scalability, and reliability in modern cloud-native environments, making use of advanced testing, monitoring, and automation capabilities.
13. Actively participate in PI planning sessions to align performance goals and establish testing strategies and set realistic performance targets. Ensure all the dependencies are identified, documented and addressed.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering and seven years of experience in applications and systems performance testing, monitoring and evaluation and five years’ experience in application development.

3. Strong hands-on experience with JMeter for creating complex test scripts and scenarios.

Create and manage custom pack programs, margin improvement, and key customer initiatives from start to execution.
Manage daily quoting, pack sampling, contract approval, new item creation, and/or large project execution with minimal guidance.
Apply organization and attention to detail to ensure accurate prioritization to meet Sales commitments.
Projects include pack reviews, standardization projects, formal RFP’s, informal RFP’s, large quoting projects and BOM maintenance, and ad hoc divisional needs.
Serve as a subject matter expert, demonstrating understanding of end-to-end kitting process, making decisions on sourcing new items, offering alternative components, driving margin improvement; the accuracy of these decisions directly impacts the profitability of the quoted kits.
Manage multiple ongoing projects, using multiple systems and tools to support sales activities and contribute to the implementation of strategic objectives.
Job Description Responsibilities: Partner with Sales to ensure all required information is received in order to begin quoting process including customer, IDN, GPO requirements.
Review various customer provided data to determine Kitting division should quote, ultimately driving sales growth and profitability across each business unit.
Use knowledge and skills to determine tray type, component cross-reference, and tray structure with full understanding of implications both clinically and internally.
Demonstrate this knowledge by cross-referencing co-petitive trays and components to create quotes, provide samples, and initiate set up in manufacturing system.
Collaborate with other divisions, departments, and Sales to keep the quote opportunity moving forward; including an internal review of cost impact, missing contract prices, ensuring division minimums are met or offering alternative cost savings opportunities.
Work with Salesand communicate quote updates to keep financials accurate.
Educate Sales Reps and Product Managers on value of custom kitting, costing, pricing, life cycle of kitting, divisional initiatives and brand preference.
Cross-reference and validate data using multiple systems/tools applicable to the division and manufacturing location.
Identify components that require sourcing to evaluate if we should source or offer an alternative based on type of item and opportunity.
Utilize Component Sourcing Specialist and/or contact vendors for pricing, unit of measure, order minimums, and other details needed to provide an accurate costed quote.
Track and maintain details of all open business priorities, status updates, and due dates from beginning to end.
Respond to issues, questions, communicate and align with Sales when timelines and strategy require revision.
Ensure turn-times are on track and inform Supervisor if deadlines cannot be met.
Provide inputs to regular internal track logs.
Submit sample requests for components and finished goods.
Identify substitutions; request inventory from other locations/sources, communicate and coordinate with needed parties.
Work with external teams of Sales Reps, Sr.
Sales Specialists, Sales Management, Clinical team, IDN team, Customers, and Vendors.
Work with other internal teams- Sample Room, Master Data, Project Team, Peri-op Team, Marketing, Supply Chain, Production, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering and other Product Divisions.
Partner with internal and external teams to clarify component details for accurate quoting to feed to production.
Identify and implement process improvement methods within current and new business processes.
Responsible for BOM Management and maintenance to ensure business initiatives are implemented to reduce risk and delay to Supply Chain consistency.
Fulfill ad-hoc custom requests as needed.

The anticipated salary range for this position: $21.25
- $30.75 Hourly The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities.
