How You'll Contribute:
The Field Engineer is responsible for executing defined commissioning, configuration, and validation tasks on-site, ensuring AV and networked systems meet established baseline standards. This role focuses on developing technical independence, deepening system knowledge, and reinforcing adherence to internal processes and quality expectations. The Field Engineer collaborates with project teams and continues to build troubleshooting and communication skills in live environments.
What You'll Do:
- Perform hands-on commissioning and configuration of AV and networked systems under guidance.
- Verify system functionality against engineering documentation and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot basic to moderately complex AV and network issues in the field.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and findings clearly to project managers and senior engineers.
- Load and configure DSP, control, and video systems to project requirements.
- Execute equipment validation, labeling, and configuration based on standards.
- Document field modifications and participate in punch list resolution.
- Support client testing and handoff preparation alongside a senior member of the Configuration & Commissioning team.
- Collect and maintain industry and manufacturer certifications relevant to the role.
- Support resolution of service tickets by troubleshooting and addressing issues as needed.
Physical Working Environment:
Associate will spend most of the day on their feet moving around the job site. Must be able to occasionally lift at least 40 lbs and be able to climb ladders and stairs. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth vision. Must be able to hear. Work may be performed in an active construction site requiring appropriate PPE.
Travel:
Frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required. Associate must possess a valid driver's license in their state of residence. Associate will be required to use their own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage at the current corporate rate. Local travel to job sites (within a 2-hour driving distance each way) usually makes up 70-90%, but remote travel can be up to 30% of the job. 10% remote travel is required on a regular basis.

Core Responsibilities
- Own the full supply chain lifecycle: sourcing, procurement, supplier development, planning, logistics, and cost control
- Lead production ramp from pilot builds to scalable manufacturing (internal and/or contract manufacturers)

- Develop operational processes for parts inventory, ordering, and supporting a dealer network.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Drywall Estimator / Project Manager will oversee the estimating and management of drywall projects from bid through completion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of drywall systems, materials, labor productivity, and construction sequencing. This role requires strong analytical skills to produce accurate estimates, as well as the ability to manage awarded projects to ensure they are delivered on schedule, within scope, and on budget. Effective communication with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams is critical, along with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and addenda to prepare detailed drywall estimates, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Know and comply with all relevant building codes, OSHA requirements, and project-specific safety and quality standards.
- Manage bid process: perform quantity take-offs, prepare proposals, clarify scope, and participate in pre-bid meetings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to support successful project delivery.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field; equivalent field experience in drywall estimating/project management may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in drywall estimating and/or project management within the commercial construction industry.
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, wall types, finish schedules, and specifications specific to drywall and ceilings.
- Knowledge of drywall assemblies, framing systems, insulation, fireproofing, soundproofing, and finish standards.
- Proficiency in estimating software and construction management software (e.g., Procore, Timberline or similar).
- Solid computer skills with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- OSHA-30 certification preferred.

Your new role

Redwood Electric Group is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead construction projects from start to finish. This role oversees budgeting, cost management, procurement, and coordination with contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Duties/Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and manage project operations, including labor, material procurement, cost control, and client relationships.
- Serve as the primary company contact for general contractors, owners, and end users throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and process RFIs, ensuring effective communication and progress.
- Oversee all financial aspects of projects, including budgets, purchase orders, subcontracts, invoices, and billings, ensuring timely updates.
- Facilitate change order pricing and maintain proper documentation.
- Procure materials and manage tracking logs to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to project specifications and schedules.
- Review project drawings and specifications, ensuring alignment with requirements.
- Attend meetings to coordinate project activities and track progress.
- Coordinate schedules with field teams, vendors, and subcontractors for seamless workflow.
- Support design/build projects, ensuring proper execution in collaboration with the design team.
- Maintain strong client relationships, addressing needs promptly and professionally.
- Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety guidelines, and contractual obligations.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with estimating, cost management (labor, material, subcontracting), procurement, and scheduling.
- Understanding of electrical power and lighting design.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
- Strong leadership skills, self-motivated, and an effective communicator capable of interacting with all departments, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Ability to problem solve and drive positive resolutions.
- Adept at organization and documentation.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical construction industry as a Field Engineer and/or Estimator.
Working Conditions
- This position is based in our Santa Clara office and is not eligible for remote work.
- Work may be performed in an office or on active job sites, depending on role and project needs.
- Office work includes sitting, typing, and using a computer for extended periods.
- Field environments may involve walking, standing, bending, or lifting materials (up to 30 lbs).
- Noise levels range from quiet (office) to high (job sites).
- May require occasional travel to project locations or meetings.

Job Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of project delivery from concept through construction, ensuring alignment with Flint’s constructability and BIM standards, client expectations, and financial goals.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in the coordination of architectural, engineering, and construction processes; provide strategic guidance across all phases of design-build execution.
- Oversee and manage detailed project schedules, deliverables, and budgets; ensure key milestones are met and proactively identify and resolve risks or roadblocks.
- Facilitate and lead high-level project meetings, including design charrettes, owner presentations, technical coordination sessions, and internal strategy meetings; set clear agendas, drive outcomes, and ensure accountability.
- Oversee engagement with school districts, local jurisdictions, city planning departments, and permitting agencies to streamline submittals, revisions, and approvals.
- Provide executive-level oversight of design documentation including contracts, narratives, scopes of work, and change documentation to ensure clarity, alignment, and quality.
- Drive proposal development, fee structuring, and project scoping in close coordination with other architects, estimating, preconstruction, and executive teams.
- Direct and manage BIM execution strategies in collaboration with VDC staff; ensure accurate modeling, clash detection, and seamless transition to construction documentation.
- Ensure all project documentation meets both regulatory and constructability standards; provide quality control oversight and technical reviews as needed.
- Resolve design and construction coordination challenges swiftly and decisively; escalate issues only when necessary and act as the primary point of accountability.
- Provide high-level mentorship and leadership to project architects, designers, and support staff; foster a proactive, solutions-driven culture focused on excellence, growth, and results.
Job Requirements, Qualifications, Characteristics:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- Licensed Architect
- 10+ years of architectural project management experience with a strong understanding of design development, construction documentation, drawings and specifications, and coordination in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- High proficiency in Revit is required; experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and other design and construction-related platforms is strongly preferred.
- Familiar with Adobe Creative suite, Lumion, Enscape, Autodesk construction cloud. Modeling/drafting software such as Sketchup and AutoCAD.
- Proficient is 3D modeling & coordination tools such as ACC and Revizto.
- Having education/ DSA and public project coordination is a must.
- Strong project coordination and communication skills, with proven success managing interdisciplinary teams and fostering collaboration between design, preconstruction, and field teams.
- Commitment to high standards of professionalism, equity, and teamwork; experience engaging with diverse communities is valued. Demonstrated ability to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings and construction documents.
- Must be proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable stepping into hands-on design tasks when needed to support team success.
