Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned QA Leader to drive quality engineering efforts for BIOS/UEFI and ARM-based platforms. This role involves leading onsite QA teams, defining testing strategies, and collaborating across firmware, hardware, and software teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage onsite QA teams focused on BIOS/UEFI and ARM platform testing
- Partner with cross-functional teams to uphold and enhance product quality standards
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve QA processes and testing frameworks
- Drive end-to-end testing lifecycle including planning, execution, and reporting
- Ensure alignment of QA activities with overall engineering and product goals
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for firmware, BIOS/UEFI, and ARM/x86 platforms
- Lead QA initiatives across multiple projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
- Collaborate closely with firmware, hardware, and software engineering teams for validation
- Conduct security testing including vulnerability assessments, secure boot validation, and firmware integrity checks
- Design and execute low-level system tests leveraging knowledge of ARM and x86 architectures
- Oversee automation, defect tracking, reporting, and performance analysis using standard QA tools
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for quality improvements
- Evaluate testing effectiveness and ROI to drive strategic enhancements
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing cross-functional QA teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 15+ years of experience in QA, including firmware, BIOS/UEFI testing, and ARM/x86 systems
- Strong expertise in designing and executing BIOS/UEFI testing strategies
- Hands-on experience in firmware security testing and validation
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and evaluate ROI
- Proficiency in test automation, debugging, and performance analysis tools
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with UEFI Shell, Secure Boot, TPM, and firmware update processes
- Familiarity with ARM Trusted Firmware or similar platforms
- Experience with virtualization and emulation tools
