JOB DESCRIPTION

The Product Support Specialist partners closely with the Customer Service leadership team and acts as a key technical resource for both internal teams and external partners. This role supports customers, installers, designers, distributors, and end users by delivering expert guidance across the company’s flooring systems and adhesive solutions.

This position focuses on technical problem-solving, product guidance, and issue resolution related to flooring installations, including materials performance, application methods, site conditions, warranties, and quality concerns.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Product Technical Support & Issue Resolution:
• Respond to incoming technical questions related to flooring installation systems and adhesive products
• Serve as a technical resource for internal departments and external partners throughout the installation lifecycle
• Promote and follow all applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures
• Claims & Field Issue Management:
• Gather, review, and document claim details including jobsite conditions, installation practices, substrate information, and product usage
• Route complex issues or field investigations to the appropriate regional technical representative
• Carry out approved resolutions such as material replacement, credits, refunds, or alternative corrective actions
• Track active cases and drive timely closure within established resolution timelines
• Assist with product quality initiatives, including recalls or corrective action programs, as needed
• Product Knowledge & Technical Expertise:
• Maintain strong working knowledge of current and legacy adhesive and flooring-related products
• Stay informed on industry standards, competitive offerings, and market trends within construction materials
• Provide accurate guidance on application requirements, technical data, performance expectations, warranties, and distribution pathways
• Identify recurring trends or field feedback and communicate opportunities for product or process improvement
• Support updates to technical materials such as installation guides, labels, packaging, and data sheets

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required
• At least five (5) years of experience in a technical support, customer-facing, or sales-related role within a manufacturing environment
• Experience within flooring, construction products, or adhesives is strongly preferred
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Business, Sales, or Marketing
• Ability to communicate in Spanish or French Canadian is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage overall project schedules, milestones, and financial performance.
• Track labor, materials, and change orders while maintaining accurate project forecasts.
• Oversee material procurement, delivery schedules, and job cost tracking.
• Manage project billing and financial reporting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Manage large customer accounts and contribute to generating $1–2M in new business annually.
• Review project scope, plans, and specifications.
• Perform material takeoffs and assist in preparing and reviewing project bids.
• Finalize estimate summaries and support preconstruction activities.
• Visit job sites and participate in project meetings.
• Collaborate with field teams and site superintendents to ensure project success.
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure alignment with project timelines and safety standards.
• Mentor and support junior Project Managers and team members.
• Coordinate with internal office staff to ensure project resources are aligned.
• Take full ownership of project performance, financial outcomes, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent field experience in electrical construction.
• 3–7+ years of project management experience, preferably within electrical construction or a related industry.
• At least 2 years managing large electrical construction projects exceeding $5M (data center experience preferred).
• Experience working on hyperscale or large enterprise data centers for major technology companies or Fortune 500 organizations is a plus.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Proven experience estimating construction projects and forecasting labor and material requirements.
• Demonstrated success meeting construction project KPIs for schedule, budget, and quality.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Excellent time management with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
• Knowledge of electrical, low-voltage (LV), and energy systems.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and adapt under pressure.

We are seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking operations professional to lead daily plant operations for a premiere dry food ingredient manufacturer in the west suburbs of Chicago. As Production Superintendent, you will lead, train, and motivate supervisors and hourly employees to help shape a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. This is a key succession role, with a clear career path towards senior plant leadership. Bilingual English/Spanish language skills are highly preferred.

Our client is a leading supplier of edible seeds, ancient grains, sweet spices, customized grain blends and specialty whole grain flours in the U.S. They are experiencing significant growth as their ingredients are being incorporated via B2B channels into a wide range of baking products to provide distinctive flavor and nutrition.

Essential Job Functions:

• Coordinate all daily production, distribution, warehousing, maintenance, and elevator operations.
• Manage 2 Supervisors and 40 non-union employees across nine (9) production lines.
• Lead all safety programs and strive to continuously improve plant safety performance.
• Implement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and eliminate waste.
• Work with Plant Manager to develop high performing teams through training, coaching, personal development and continual exposure to professional enrichment opportunities.

Qualifications include:

• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly desired.
• Prior Managerial or Supervisory experience is essential.
• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and “hands on” on work ethic on production floor.
• Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement experience is an asset but not a core requirement.
• Strong knowledge of governmental regulations such as OSHA, FDA, HACCP, and food safety agencies such as BRC and SQF.
• Business acumen is a plus – understanding financial statements; preparing and managing budgets, and maintaining cost controls, or having prior P&L responsibility.
• Tech savvy, with the ability assess operations, analyze data, and prepare summary reports to chart progress and for senior leadership review.

Looking for a technician that has a minimum of 8 years of experience operating and troubleshooting large HVAC systems and equipment which includes Air Handlers, RTUs, Chillers, Cooling Towers, VAV Boxes, DDC Controls, Pumps, Variable Frequency Drives and Building Automation Systems. Must have or needs to obtain a stationary engineer's license within 9 months of employment.
