Job Description –
- Checking body welding tooling and part accuracy using Vectorarm, Perceptron, & FARO portable CMM equipment.
- Gather part information from Digital Engineering systems, i.e., PolyWorks, Catia and 3D imaging software.
- Checking part quality using hand tools and quality checking fixtures.
- Support Sheetmetal Sub-assy. and Body build trials and activities during pre-production events.
- Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, parts, and part fitting.
- Analyze part and sub-assembly data and provide feedback to project leader(s).
Requirements:
- 2-5 Years Automotive/ Aerospace Quality Metrology experience (Sheet-metal QA)
- Capable of using portable CMM equipment, Scanners, Laser Trackers. (FARO, Vectorarm, Leica, Creaform).
- Experience with 3D comparison softwares like PolyWorks, Cam 2, Scene, PC DMIS.
- Strong mechanical ability. Small hand tools for adjusting / modifying part datums.
- Strong Computer skills, including: MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Able to create and maintain schedules.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, off shifts, and overtime.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to handle medium to heavy physical work.
- Ability to be flexible and adjust to changes that may occur daily.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Estimator plays a critical role within the preconstruction team. This position is responsible for leading complex estimating efforts, developing accurate and competitive project budgets, and collaborating closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients. The Senior Estimator also supports continuous improvement initiatives and mentors junior estimating staff to ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across estimating operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Preconstruction & Estimating Leadership
- Lead preconstruction and estimating efforts for large-scale, complex, or high-priority commercial construction projects.
- Develop detailed conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP estimates.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates.
- Identify project risks, assumptions, and contingencies and communicate them clearly to stakeholders.
Subcontractor & Supplier Coordination
- Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for scope completeness and pricing accuracy.
- Coordinate bid leveling and ensure alignment with project scope and schedule.
- Develop strong working relationships with trade partners and suppliers.
Client & Internal Collaboration
- Collaborate with project management, operations, architects, engineers, and consultants to define scope and pricing strategies.
- Present estimates, budgets, and value engineering options to clients and executive leadership.
- Support business development efforts by assisting with pricing strategies and proposal development.
Value Engineering & Cost Control
- Develop value engineering options and cost-saving recommendations while maintaining quality and performance.
- Utilize historical cost data and market trends to enhance estimate accuracy.
- Participate in post-bid and post-project reviews to evaluate estimating performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor and support junior estimators and preconstruction team members.
- Assist leadership with developing and maintaining standardized estimating procedures and best practices.
- Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the estimating team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating, including experience leading complex projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost drivers.
- Proficiency with estimating software, digital takeoff tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Function:

- Execution of quality mechanical repairs (including welding, piping and insulation works) as assigned

- Execution of various preventive maintenance tasks relative to mechanical piping systems and generated by the plant work order system, as assigned.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
This Engineer will be responsible for completing the automation portion of capital projects in support of the Plant Capital execution as well as Plant technical support, enabling the plant to meet its Market, Safety, Productivity, and Quality goals. They will assist management with pre-studies of deployment and development projects in the EE / Automation field. They will also complete design studies, follow procurement and fabrication of equipment and lead the installation, commissioning and startup of the equipment in an industrial plant environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Provide detailed electrical design and automation programming for assigned projects.
Provide estimates and technical schedules for all phases of process equipment addition, replacement or upgrade.
Provide backup support and training to plant maintenance teams on new automation systems that they implement.
Collaborate with internal company support groups to accomplish objectives and provide contract engineering management and direction when needed.
Participate in assigned major capital projects and/or modifications from start to finish, including equipment reception, commissioning, and acceptance.
For customer projects, manages the design studies for industrial electrical equipment, and low/high voltage electrical installations that are necessary for the success of the Plant's capital projects. She / he will ensure adherence to the customer's specifications, local regulations, compliance of performance, and costs.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Bachelors in Electra-mechanical, Computer, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience in the field
Preferred minimum of at least 3 years of Engineering experience
Minimal travel, 5-10% maximum (vendor machine acceptance, support of local facility)
Experience with electrical design standards and able to complete controls systems designs using standard CAD design tools
Experience with PLC programming standards & programming software, including GRAFCET, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text. Specific experience with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) and Siemens is a plus.
Experience with Variable Frequency drives and Motion Control technologies. Specific experience with Rockwell, Siemens and Control Techniques is a plus.
Experience with HMI configuration, programming and communication. Specific experience with Rockwell is a plus.
Experience with controls systems network interfaces and various protocols for communications between devices including computer system databases.
Experience in Project Team Leadership or Project Management is preferred, but not required
Vision System configuration and interface for width measurement applications and defect detection applications is preferred but not required. Specific experience with Cognex, Keyence, Adept, Bytewise, Gocator is a plus.
Robotic experience, configuration or knowledge is preferred. Specific experience with Fanuc, ABB is a plus. Experience with Vision Systems is a plus.

In our petrochemical facility we produce synthetic rubber from monomer feedstocks and catalysts, through a polymerization reaction.
The product, after other operations, is carefully weighed and pressed into uniform bales before shipping to the next Michelin factory for tire production.
Our facility supplies various rubber products that go into tires in the USA, Canada, and in Michelin factories around the world. Our site is one of the three Michelin petrochemical sites producing synthetic rubber for cars, vans, trucks, two-wheelers, aircraft, agricultural tractors, and mining equipment.

This role will be a full-time position based out of our Paris, KY office.

- Education:

Strong Process Safety Management (PSM) and Management of change (MOC)experience required.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Michelin has an immediate opportunity at our American Synthetic Rubber Company (ASRC) chemical plant in Louisville, KY for a Process Design Engineer to demonstrate their industrial expertise to manage the evolution of the process at the site level. WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Serve as the primary liaison between plant teams and the Central Team, clarifying needs and coordinating support requests.
- Assist plants in problem solving common process issues and engage Central resources as needed.
- Recommend process modifications and ensure alignment with overall process strategy.
- Lead the qualification of process prototypes within the assigned zone on behalf of the Central Methods team.
- Drive the plant's process strategy and manage the Process Improvement roadmap.
- Contribute to the value stream mapping 3 year (VSM3Y) preparation activities and actively participate in related events.
- Maintain process mapping and performance databases for the zone and support industrial project startups.
- Develop, deploy, and share benchmarks, results, and findings through Central systems.
- Support the CAPEX Project Manager in developing industrial projects using established process design standards and methods.
- Identify needed updates to process standards, circulate approved standards, validate best practices for broader adoption, maintain expertise mapping, develop training materials, strengthen technical competencies, and ensure certification of key functions.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING
- B.S. degree in an engineering field; Chemical Engineering preferred
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering or quality control within a chemical process environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues at all organizational levels
- Proven teamwork, leadership, and organizational abilities
- Effective problemsolving and criticalthinking skills, with strong understanding of processtoproduct relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and ability to learn internal software systems
- Working knowledge of quality protocols and controls (Management of Change)
- High attention to detail and dedication to data accuracy

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
* Application of safety rules (LOTOTO, HV / LV maneuvers, instructions, regulations specific and non-specific to the instrumentation trade.
* Complywith the policies, documents, procedures and work instructions of both the Quality and Environmental management systems
* Troubleshooting of electronic, pneumatic and process automation problems when called for assistance.
* Execution of quality repairs to process control equipment or participating in repairs of process control instruments.
* Preventive maintenance tasks related to process control equipment per plant reliability plan.
* Execution of metrology program required by the Michelin Quality System and Environmental Management system.
* Execution of project tasks as assigned.
* Accurately report all activities into the plant maintenance management system.
* Participate in various communication meetings held to foster safety and plant performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Applicant must have a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
And one or more of the following:
2-3 years' experience in a relevant maintenance position Associates degree relevant to the open maintenance position Journeyman's card relevant to the open position Military Background with technical training relevant to the open position Must pass entry level skills assessment in the craft relevant to the open position
- Must be able to pass a Company physical including a hair drug screen
Job Salary and Benefits:
- Level 1 pay $39.70 Level 2 pay $41.27 after 120 days if Journeyman in your trade. Also $1.25 adder for shift pay.
- Plus a $1500.00 sign on bonus.

Industrial Maintenance Technician
Shift: 1st Shift
Location: Northern Kentucky Area
Position Overview
A growing advanced manufacturing company is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support automated production equipment in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
This position plays a key role in maintaining equipment reliability by performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing equipment issues, and repairing automated production systems used in filling, packaging, and material handling operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, experience working with automated production equipment, and the ability to collaborate with operations, engineering, and quality teams to maintain safe and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on automated production and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Assist with troubleshooting automation components including PLCs and variable frequency drives.
- Replace and repair components such as motors, sensors, gearboxes, valves, and pneumatic devices.
- Document maintenance work using internal tracking systems and maintenance records.
- Participate in equipment reliability and root cause discussions to improve uptime.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and report critical component needs.
- Follow established safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to minimize downtime and support operational efficiency.
Regulated Production Environment
Some equipment may be located within controlled production areas where adherence to quality and cleanliness standards is required. Technicians must follow established procedures when performing maintenance on validated equipment and maintain proper documentation to support compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting automated production or packaging equipment.
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and basic automation systems preferred.
- Experience with motors, sensors, VFDs, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with conveyor systems, pumps, packaging lines, or labeling equipment is beneficial.
- Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems (CMMS) is helpful.
- Understanding of lockout/tagout and industrial safety procedures.
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
- Bilingual Spanish/English is helpful but not required.
- Flexibility for overtime when production demands require it.
Technical Expectations
- Uses structured troubleshooting approaches to identify root causes of equipment failures.
- Focuses on implementing reliable repairs that reduce repeat maintenance issues.
- Communicates effectively with team members across operations and maintenance.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to kneel, crouch, and work from floor level when required.

- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts.
Tools & Equipment
Technicians are expected to provide their own standard hand tools. Specialized tools and diagnostic equipment are provided by the company.
