RNG Plant Manager

Full-Time | Senior Site Leadership Role
AD Energy Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a well-capitalised Renewable Natural Gas developer and owner-operator to appoint a Plant Manager for a large-scale dairy manure anaerobic digestion facility producing pipeline-quality RNG.
This is a technically demanding, senior operational leadership role with full accountability for the safe, compliant, and profitable operation of a live biological process plant. The facility integrates anaerobic digestion, biogas handling, upgrading, and balance-of-plant systems and operates in a regulated environmental and safety-critical environment.
The Plant Manager will function as the senior on-site authority, responsible for plant performance, people leadership, regulatory compliance, asset integrity, and continuous operational optimisation.
Role Overview
As Plant Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of all plant operations, including digestion performance, gas production, maintenance strategy, safety systems, environmental compliance, and cost control.
This role requires a deep understanding of anaerobic digestion biology, mechanical and electrical systems, gas upgrading technology, and industrial maintenance practices, combined with strong leadership and financial acumen.
You will lead operators, technicians, and maintenance personnel while working closely with engineering, development, finance, and senior leadership teams.
Core Responsibilities
Operations & Process Performance
- Establish and execute operational policies, procedures, and performance standards for anaerobic digesters, gas handling, and RNG upgrading systems
- Oversee digester biology, feedstock management, loading rates, retention times, temperature control, and process stability
- Monitor biogas production, methane content, gas quality, and system availability to maximise RNG output
- Identify and troubleshoot process upsets, mechanical failures, and biological instability
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, efficiency, and yield optimisation
Maintenance & Asset Integrity
- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
- Ensure reliability of critical assets including digesters, mixers, pumps, compressors, blowers, upgrading skids, and balance-of-plant equipment
- Manage spare parts strategy, critical inventory, and maintenance planning
- Review root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Own site-wide safety culture and ensure full compliance with OSHA and company HSE standards
- Ensure all required safety training, emergency response plans, and permit systems are implemented and maintained
- Maintain compliance with environmental permits, reporting requirements, and inspections
- Act as primary site interface for regulators, inspectors, insurers, and auditors
People Leadership & Workforce Development
- Directly lead and develop plant operators, technicians, and mechanics
- Establish clear annual goals, performance objectives, and development plans
- Identify skills gaps and implement training programs to maintain a technically competent workforce
- Foster a hands-on, accountable, and safety-first operational culture
Financial & Budget Ownership
- Develop, manage, and control plant operating and capital budgets
- Review and approve operational expenditure within authorised limits

Stakeholder & Business Interface

Experience & Technical Profile

Day to day:
The Climate Control Strategic Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and winning new business while supporting pre‑identified, large‑scale construction projects within a client's Climate Control division. This role engages customers early in the pre‑bid and planning phases to understand environmental requirements, review drawings, and help define climate control solutions. The rep partners with internal engineering and operations teams to position solutions prior to project award, then manages ongoing account strategy, execution support, and pipeline development across current and future projects.
Compensation:

Metalworks Manufacturing Engineer I organizes the work being performed through an in-house technology platform. This includes data collection and communication with a variety of sources and data input, plus estimating. Benefits and Compensation:
- The range for this position has been established at $67K to $75K per year and is U.S. Engineering -Metalwork's good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. Compensation for this role includes a base salary complemented by commission opportunities based on the Account Manager’s individual sales performance and attainment of sales targets

What You’ll Do
- Own the Estimating Process: Lead estimating for renovation and construction projects across multiple U.S. markets.
- Analyze & Quantify: Perform full-scope takeoffs, pricing, and trade breakdowns from drawings and site walks.
- Sub Management: Source, vet, and level bids from subcontractors to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Value Engineering: Identify scope gaps, constructability issues, and cost-saving solutions before they become problems.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with project managers, executives, and procurement to align budgets, schedules, and execution plans.
- Contribute to Winning Work: Help prepare compelling bid packages, proposals, and GMP/lump sum budgets that secure new business.
- Refine the Process: Continuously improve internal systems, tools, and subcontractor databases for efficiency and scalability.
What You Bring
- 4+ years of experience estimating for a General Contractor (required)
- Strong background in commercial Construction
- Deep knowledge of construction trades, methods, and pricing trends
- Proficient in Bluebeam, Excel, and other estimating tools
- Skilled at reading drawings, specs, and identifying risks early
- Detail-obsessed, solution-oriented, and highly organized
- Excellent communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative team

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an Observability Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Greenwood Village, Colorado.
Duties:
- Lead and document Root Cause Analyses (RCA) for high-severity production incidents
- Analyze system metrics, logs, and performance trends to identify reliability risks
- Design and improve observability practices such as: metrics, logging, alerting and SLOs
- Monitor JVM-based services and distributed systems performance
- Support capacity planning and scaling strategies for high-concurrency environments
- Drive incident triage, follow-ups, and long-term corrective actions
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams to improve resiliency
- Contribute to executive-level reporting and reliability reviews
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Strong experience supporting production systems in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Deep understanding of observability best practices and monitoring strategy
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog and logging platforms like Splunk
- Familiarity with containerized environments such as: Docker and Kubernetes
- Infrastructure-as-Code exposure such as: Terraform
- Experience analyzing JVM metrics and debugging Java-based services
- Strong documentation, communication, and incident management skills
