The UPMC/University of Pittsburgh Department of Radiology is recruiting full-time on-site Radiologists in the Cardiothoracic Imaging Division. The Division of Cardiothoracic Imaging at UPMC/University of Pittsburgh interprets chest radiographs, thoracic CT and MRI, and cardiovascular MRI and CT with a broad mix of pathology. The Division is centered at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, a Level I Regional Resource Trauma Center, and a leading regional referral center. The hospital has been repeatedly named to the US News and World Report's Honor Roll and is a leading center for organ transplantation, cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, and critical care medicine and trauma services. Division faculty also rotate at UPMC Shadyside hospital. Applicants must have an MD degree or equivalent, must be board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Radiology, and must be eligible for unrestricted licensure in Pennsylvania. Candidates must have subspecialty fellowship training and experience in Thoracic and Cardiac Imaging.

The Pittsburgh Interventional Radiology Institute at UPMC/University of Pittsburgh is currently recruiting a full-time academic Interventional Radiologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. The IR Division provides care at multiple core academic institutions including UPMC Presbyterian-Shadyside, UPMC Mercy, and Magee-Women’s Hospital of UPMC in addition to providing clinical support to other UPMC hospitals in the greater Pittsburgh area. The Institute will also be staffing outpatient sites. Applicants must be board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Radiology or equivalent and eligible for unrestricted licensure in Pennsylvania. Key Highlights
UPMC IR performs a full spectrum of interventional radiology procedures and maintains active outpatient clinics at multiple sites collaborating with our strong oncologic, hepatobiliary, transplant, trauma, vascular, and pediatric interventional radiology services.
The IR Division has worked hard to build and maintain excellent clinical and academic relationships with Hepatology, Transplant Surgery, Liver Surgery, Trauma, Urology, Orthopedics, and Oncology in affiliation with the Hillman Cancer Center.
In addition to our robust clinical practice, UPMC IR participates in multiple ongoing translational research studies, both locally and in collaboration with other national academic institutions.
Major research focuses include interventional oncology, organ transplantation, hepatobiliary disease, trauma, renal disease, and portal hypertension.
The UPMC IR Division currently has 11 full-time IR physicians and 7 APPs dedicated to clinical and procedural work.
We participate fully in the IR/DR dual certification residency program including both integrated and independent residency programs in partnership with the UPMC diagnostic radiology residency.
Expectations for this position will consist of a mix of clinical, teaching, academic, and on-call IR responsibilities.
Clinical assignments will be distributed between the four core academic hospitals (including two Level 1 trauma centers) with or without potential service in our greater Pittsburgh Clinical Division facilities based on clinical need, candidate experience, and expertise.

Job Title : Oceanography Category / Component: Officer • Both Overview Oceanography (OCEANO) Officers, also called METOC, are the Navy's geophysical experts who understand and apply all facets of meteorology, oceanography, hydrography, bathymetry, geophysics, and precise time and astrometry.
Their mission is to define and apply the physical environment, from the bottom of the ocean to the stars, to ensure the U.S.

By 2050, older adults will comprise 22% of the global population, placing greater demand on traditional healthcare systems. Meeting these challenges demand technical innovation at the interface of hardware, software, and intelligence. Our mission is to create scalable mobile systems for physiological intelligence using wireless sensing, signal processing, and AI. We invent bio- and physics-inspired hardware systems to decode hidden signals from the body and environment, and enable new sensory capabilities for millions of humans and machines.
Our innovations include using radar to contactlessly detect muscle fatigue and measure blood pressure, repurposing cheap earphone speakers to listen to heart valve mechanics, smartglasses that sense eye muscle signals to enable auto-focusing lenses for age-related vision loss, a smartphone attachment that isolates a speaker's voice in a noisy restaurant as assisitive listening aid, and transforming a standard tablet touchscreen into a sensor that can detect microliter-scale DNA samples.
