As an Aircraft Structures Mechanic, you will utilize your manufacturing knowledge to set up tools and equipment for drilling and fastening complex structures, including composite materials. You will operate various hand and machine tools, including automated equipment, to perform tasks according to specifications while ensuring safety and quality standards. Your responsibilities will include recognizing and reporting any equipment malfunctions, performing maintenance, and coordinating the movement of materials and tools. You will also cut, assemble, and install components, verify your work against specifications, and handle hazardous materials safely.

Position Responsibilities:

• Review daily reports and consult with team leaders to determine job assignments and obtain necessary documentation.

• Locate work areas using specified drawings and paperwork.

• Verify kitted parts against installation plans and bill of materials, ensuring they are suitable and defect-free.

• Retrieve non-kitted parts from designated areas, ensuring compliance with specifications.

• Use electronic devices to access work instructions and engineering data (personal cell phones not permitted).

• Select and utilize appropriate hand and power tools for assembly tasks, including precision alignment equipment.

• Move kits, carts, and equipment within the work cell as needed.

• Load/unload jigs and operate mechanical lifts for assembly work.

• Locate tools and parts on aircraft using specified methods and set up assembly tools per instructions.

• Handle hazardous materials safely and dispose of them properly.

• Inspect completed work for defects and cleanliness before submission for inspection.

• Perform minor rework and maintain tool control in accordance with procedures.

• Maintain personal and tool certifications and seek assistance from supervisors when necessary.

• Set up tools and equipment for drilling and fastener installation in complex structures.

• Operate various hand and machine tools, monitoring equipment functionality and performing routine maintenance.

• Coordinate the movement and preparation of materials and tools for tasks.

• Cut, file, drill, and assemble parts, ensuring proper fitting and quality standards.

• Conduct reaming, riveting, and sealing operations, applying corrosion inhibitors as needed.

• Utilize calibrated tools to verify work against specifications and ensure quality.

• Manage equipment and materials within the work cell to ensure efficient workflow.

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

• Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.

Basic Qualifications :

• 1+ years of experience working with mechanical or structures related statements of work; such as construction, aerospace, automotive, maritime or similar industry; this can include education and military.

• 1+ year experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

• 1+ years of experience using high impact vibratory tools; such as bucking/riveting.

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) KC-46 Tanker Program is seeking a Product Lifecycle Management Engineer to perform change integration functions for new and derivative products and provide technical support in Configuration Status Accounting tasks such as As-Built to As-Design reconciliation. This is a BDS position located in Everett, Washington, and reports to the PLM Manager of the KC-46 Configuration and Data Management team.

The KC-46 is a high-visibility, leading-edge Commercial Derivative airplane program to support the United States Air Force and International Customers. As a Product Lifecycle Management Engineer, you will use Program Management Best Practices to oversee the definition and integration of configuration and data management tasks that span multiple engineering functions and airplane level engineering projects and processes as the KC-46 program transitions from Development into Production phases. This position will be 100% onsite in Everett, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

• Collaborates/Leads the development, analysis, management and compliance verification of process and product baselines of complex products
• Defines, plans, coordinates and conducts (or leads) product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products.
• Coordinates/leads the integration and control of the configuration of Software and Hardware product elements and analyzes & resolves issues with engineering product structure.

• Creates, reviews and manages software description and software configuration documents and artifacts. Prepare SW deliverables meeting contract and CDRL (Contract Data Requirement List)
• Ensure consistent application of Configuration and Data management policies, processes and program management best practices, and those process documents are current and accurate.
• Understands and able to interpret contract requirements, Contractor Data Requirements List (CDRL) content related to Product Life Cycle include Configuration Management, Data Management and Configuration Status Accounting (CSA).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Level 3: Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification
• Level 4: Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification
• Written and verbal communication skills with strong technical content.
• Experience and Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering Experience with Microsoft Office Applications; especially highly skillful with Excel as data process tool.
• Skills and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
• Knowledge of drawing/data systems (e.g., ""used on"" drawings, part relationships, product data management) and configuration management principles and processes (e.g., part number control, revision level, naming conventions, product identification numbering systems ).
• Able to understand and interpret contract requirements, especially Contractor Data Requirements List (CDRL) content related to Configuration Status Accounting (CSA).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test, software, technology, avionics). Knowledge of the interaction between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-engineering processes (e.g., Operations, Logistics, Business).
• Familiar with relational database language and tools such as SQL Server, MySQL
• Familiar with application development languages and tools such as C-Sharp, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

Position Responsibilities:

• Install, fit, fasten, align, adjust, and connect parts and assemblies to build aircraft power packs and strut assemblies.

• Use production drawings, specifications, and assembly pages to derive measurements and locate points for part marking and layout preparation.

• Perform drilling, reaming, riveting, and soldering necessary for assembly tasks.

• Review work orders and installation plans to determine job priorities and obtain appropriate drawings and production illustrations.

• Obtain and verify kitted detail parts and assemblies, ensuring they are correct and free of defects.

• Pre-assemble components such as wiring harnesses and tubing assemblies using power and hand tools.

• Operate material handling equipment, including overhead cranes and scissor lifts, to load and unload engines and struts.

• Align parts and assemblies to mating surfaces, temporarily securing them in place and checking for proper alignment.

• Attach, seal, and connect parts, assemblies, and wires using the correct fasteners and tools, tightening per specifications.

• Torque fasteners and install safety devices such as lock wires and cotter pins as required by drawings or specifications.

• Seal hydraulic fittings and access doors, applying necessary fluids, primers, and adhesives according to specifications.

• Operate various tools, including pull rivet guns and countersinks, to fasten and torque parts and assemblies.

• Verify close tolerance dimensions using precision measuring tools and check work for defects before inspection.

• Maintain personal and tool certifications, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

• Communicate with team leaders and supervisors regarding job progress, issues, and assistance needed, while consulting with engineering and planning as required.

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

• Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs. to 15-35 lbs.

• Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.

• Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.

• Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.

Basic Qualifications :

• 1+ years of experience working with mechanical or structures related statements of work; such as construction, aerospace, automotive, maritime or similar industry; this can include education and military.

• 1+ year experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

• Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel.

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

• This position requires you to wear eye, hearing, foot, hand, respirator and other personal protective equipment/safety gear at all times.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience performing aircraft structural work or equivalate.

• 1+ years of experience using high impact vibratory tools; such as bucking/riveting.

• Enrolled in a Boeing partnered manufacturing related high school or community and technology college academic program
