Job Description:

The Advanced Radar Products Department empowers people to deliver innovative, affordable and producible products and technologies to support airborne Radar solutions throughout the full product lifecycle while remaining accountable for program execution cost, schedule, and performance. We provide best in industry technologies that align product capabilities to the needs of our customers and end- users. As an Electrical Engineer II supporting production, you will be part of a team of highly talented engineers that work on highly complex Radar products and test sets. You will be working as a member of a production support team and under the guidance of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead in McKinney, Texas.

What You Will Do:

Managing component obsolescence identification and mitigation
Troubleshooting test sets down to component level to include analog and digital interfaces, etc. Includes software
Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to circuit card assembly (CCA)/Module and component levels to include analog/digital/RF/power circuitry and interfaces.
Work in a team environment to ensure the production and sustainment timelines are maintained.
Analysis of test data of products to make sure test specifications are met.
Reading and interpreting and applying engineering drawings, including assembly drawings, parts lists, wire lists, and schematics.
This position requires daily on-site support and is not open to remote work possibilities

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
A minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience with electronics and electrical circuits as well as ability to isolate failures to root cause.
Experience reading & interpreting drawings and electrical schematics
Experience with lab equipment such as multimeters, signal sources, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers
Experience working on a production program

The candidate will support state-of-the-art ultra-wideband phased array antennas, individual antennas, and RF Low Observables (LO) within the Company. The selected candidate will work with various teams of engineers and scientists with backgrounds in AESAs, Antennas, Radomes, Computational Electromagnetics Modeling (CEM), RF Test, Mechanical, Structural and Thermal analysis, Material Science, Process and Manufacturing Engineering and survivable antenna technology.

What You Will Do

Support customer programs through modeling and simulation of LO antennas or RF components/systems and leading teams that perform these functions.
Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems involving antenna/sensor-based applications such as radar, electronic warfare, electronic attack, electronic support measures, communications, geolocation, direction finding, etc.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
Mentor and guide more junior engineers and technicians in the design, build, and test phases of projects and programs.
Work with interdisciplinary engineering teams including thermal, structural, mechanical, systems, etc.
Participate in and guide the testing of RF hardware for required performance metrics: VSWR, insertion loss, gain, polarization, RCS.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior work experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
Engineering experience to include any combination of the following:
- Radar Cross Section (RCS) reduction, prediction, measurement, and analysis & simulation.
- Design, fabrication, and test of conformal antennas, apertures, and passive RF components (i.e. radiating elements, radomes, power dividers, couplers, transitions, multi-layer board designs, Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSSs), etc.).

What You Will Do:

Deliverables include but not limited to:

Supports all aspects of a software development life cycle as members of a multi-disciplined team. This would include supporting new and legacy military and commercial programs from concept and requirements, to design, development, integration, test, and potentially subsequent maintenance tasking.
Uses and provides creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems.
Works closely with Systems Engineers to design ideal solutions with the end user and operational needs in mind.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. government issued security clearance and a Special Access Program security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Work onsite at McKinney, TX [relocation eligible]
This position will require occasional business-related travel.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) AND a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience in object-oriented programming.
Experience in developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications written in C++ or closely related software languages.
Experience in Shell or Perl or Python scripting language.
Active and transferable U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience working in lab environments with physical hardware (e.g., test benches, simulators)
Some development experience on Linux, VxWorks, or other Real Time Operating Systems is highly preferred.
Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
Experience with product development utilizing the Scrum techniques of the Agile software development process.
Experience with DevSecOps pipeline implementation and utilization, including Static Code Analysis, Automated Build, and Automated Test techniques using continuous integration/continuous delivery with Test-Driven Development approach.
Hands-on experience with Git for version control and GitLab for repository management.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
