A leading Space and Defense manufacturer in Los Angeles is seeking a Director of Operations to lead a technically complex production environment specializing in large, lightweight metallic structures and assemblies serving aerospace, missile, and hypersonic markets.


This facility focuses on metallic forming, precision forming, advanced spin forming, CNC machining, fabrication, and assembly integration. The Director of Operations will own full site-level operational performance and P&L accountability, driving production discipline across multi-step manufacturing routings involving machining, forming, welding coordination, heat treat, finishing, and final assembly.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all production operations across CNC machining, metallic forming, spin forming, fabrication, finishing, and assembly.
  • Establish structured daily production management cadence to improve schedule adherence, throughput, and flow.
  • Drive performance across large gantry milling, 3-axis and 5-axis machining environments.
  • Optimize complex manufacturing routings spanning machining, deburring, forming, welding coordination, heat treat, and integration.
  • Own site-level P&L performance, improving labor efficiency, equipment utilization, and cost control.

Job Objective

Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Business Application Analyst to join our tech services team.

This role is integral to our organization as it involves working with external vendors, system owners, community partners, contractors, and leadership to design, develop, implement, and operate Business Application information systems.

You will be responsible for identifying and documenting design specifications based on user needs and generating need-gap analyses.

You will also manage software upgrades, implementations, and conversions, and ensure data integrity and system security.

Responsibilities: Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems and devise or modify procedures to solve problems using data processing.

Act as an application administrator by ensuring data integrity, maintaining system security, extracting, analyzing and transforming data, and managing software upgrades, implementations and/or conversions.

Understand the functional workflow and processes of the departments you support and maintain system functionality and design in support of workflow efficiency and user/department productivity.

Analyze, plan, design, create and maintain intermediate to advanced level reports leveraging various technologies including SQL, QlikView, Infor Business Intelligence, and Kronos Genies.

Work independently on complex system activities and project management activities including instructing, directing, and reviewing work of staff.

Lead small/medium projects and facilitate team and cross-functional meetings.

Assist and participate in system activities both project and operational support-related, understand application build, design, and technical infrastructure.

Generate both standard and ad hoc reports and design and assist in developing nonstandard/custom reports as required.

Train new/current staff members on applicable systems/applications and work with customers and/or vendors with training on new systems being implemented and rolled out for use in the departments.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field required, OR equivalent work experience.

In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 9 years of relevant business experience are required.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience required.

Must have 3 years of experience in an IS healthcare setting.

Must have 2 years of full life cycle implementations experience.

Familiarity and experience with Kronos, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Finance and/or Procurement/Supply chain experience (purchasing, inventory, warehousing, accounts payable), and/or Human Capital Management and/or Payroll processing a plus.

Consulting experience preferred.

Primary focus will be on Kronos, ideally with experience in the latest version (UKG Workforce Management), including use of the Boomi platform for integrations and data management.

Experience with other HCM applications is a plus.

Ability to fulfill On-Call requirements and other duties as assigned.
