HIMARS Specialist
The HIMARS Specialist will serve as Castelion’s internal subject matter expert (SME) on HIMARS employment, operations, and tactical integration. This individual will translate firsthand operational experience into actionable guidance for engineering, manufacturing, testing, and customer engagement teams.
You will play a critical role in ensuring our systems are intuitive, survivable, rapidly employable, and aligned with how warfighters actually operate.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the internal SME on HIMARS operations, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
- Provide operator-informed input into system architecture, human-machine interface (HMI), mobility concepts, and reload workflows
- Advise engineering teams on real-world constraints including crew ergonomics, field maintenance, deployment timelines, and survivability considerations
- Support design reviews to ensure operational realism is embedded in system decisions
- Participate in field tests, live fire events, and mobility demonstrations to evaluate usability and mission flow
- Assist Business Development and Program teams with customer engagement, CONOPS development, and operational briefings
- Develop training concepts and documentation rooted in real operational experience
- Identify capability gaps and improvement opportunities based on firsthand system use
Basic Qualifications
- Prior experience operating the M142 HIMARS in an operational military environment
- Deep understanding of HIMARS crew operations, mission planning, reload procedures, and fire mission execution
- Experience in deployed, training, or live-fire environments
- Ability to communicate operational insights clearly to engineering and technical teams
- Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience serving as Section Chief, Platoon Sergeant, Fire Direction Specialist, or similar leadership role
- Instructor or evaluator experience within a HIMARS unit
- Exposure to joint fires integration and coordination with higher-echelon fire control systems

As we expand into new categories, we’re looking for an on-site Product Designer who can bring products to life from concept through production while balancing creativity, functionality, cost, and manufacturability.
This role is primarily focused on product design, with strong involvement in product development execution and cross-functional coordination. The Product Designer will work closely with the Product Development Manager to execute against business priorities while taking full ownership of their assigned product categories and design deliverables. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, testing, and supervising the manufacturing of electrical equipment.
This includes electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems, and power generation equipment.
This role will require a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, along with a creative mindset to innovate and solve complex problems.
Responsibilities: 1.
Design, develop, and test electrical equipment and systems, ensuring they meet customer specifications and safety standards.

Work closely with project managers to design and implement electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects.
3.
Utilize Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and other design software to create detailed electrical designs and schematics.
4.
Develop and maintain utility plans, panel schedules, and lighting design.
5.
Handle high voltage systems, ensuring their safety and efficiency.
6.
Collaborate with other engineers and designers to identify potential issues and devise solutions.
7.
Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and design proposals to stakeholders.
8.
Stay updated on industry trends, technology, codes, and standards.
9.
Oversee and supervise the installation and maintenance of electrical systems.

Conduct inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
Qualifications: 1.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
A Master’s degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license will be an added advantage.
2.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in commercial and industrial sectors.
3.
Proficiency in using design software such as Bluebeam and AutoCAD.
4.
Experience in managing high voltage systems, utility plans, panel schedules, and lighting design.
5.
Strong understanding of electrical manufacturing processes and electrical systems safety standards.
6.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
7.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
8.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
