The PCAS department is seeking an embedded firmware engineer for algorithm development and implementation in a variety of electromechanical control assemblies. 

What You Will Do

• You will help design, implement and verify motor control embedded firmware designs for current and future Control Actuation Systems.

• You will implement digital control algorithms in C/C++ in conjunction with the Controls and Algorithms team.

• Additionally, you will interact with mechanical and electrical design engineers and vendors to optimize hardware designs.

• Experience of developing firmware or software for safety significant environments including requirements development and traceability, design decomposition and documentation, static code analysis, design to safety critical coding standards such as MISRA-C, test case development, code coverage including modified decision/code coverage (MC/DC), code coverage analysis and formal qualification testing.

• A working understanding of configurable logic (FPGA firmware) and VHDL.

• Experience implementing digital control algorithms in hardware including embedded microcontrollers, digital signal processors, FPGAs and a working understanding of serial communication interfaces, analog to digital converters, and PWM generators.

• Basic understanding of modeling and controls of electric motors and solid background in PMSM motor fundamentals

• Digital and analog signal electronics design, development and verification.

Our Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator is a technical position that works in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment to architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy Software for Firmware (FPGA) and Hardware solutions that meet current and next generation autonomous avionics systems’ needs. The Mechanical Engineering group in the Shipboard Effectors Department is currently searching for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to work on a multi-discipline team to support design and upgrades of Shipboard Effectors products and subsystems.

What You Will Do:

• Utilizing strong mechanical hardware design experience and knowledge with ruggedized structures, interconnects, cooling, and electronics integration

• Supporting all phases of programs from capture and concept development through production

• Developing technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems related to the entire product life cycle including proposal, design, manufacture, integration and test of electronics for multiple military programs

• Supervising the definitions of mechanical outline and construction details, component selection and specification, mechanical and assembly drawings, electrical/RF layout, and delivering the final technical data package

• Employing transition-to-production practices with the ability to lead a design release into production

• Tracking, reporting, and meeting cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements for the finished product, including Earned Value (EV) management and Estimate at Complete (EAC) inputs

• Preparing proposal inputs on behalf of the product area

• Providing technical conscience, challenged with making sure the product and process meet appropriate standards and requirements while helping to remove roadblocks

Qualifications You Must Have:

Qualifications You Must Have:

The Field Sales Representative is responsible for achieving assigned sales objectives by promoting TPC Wire & Cable products and strategic initiatives to customers in industrial environments. This role requires regular on-site interaction with end-user customers and effective communication in active industrial settings. The Materials and Process Engineering (M&PE) Department, which functions within the Hardware Engineering Discipline team, is seeking a Section Leader to lead one of our two Signature Management & Technology sections.  As a Section Lead, the ideal candidate will be accountable for leveraging all the Hardware Engineering and Materials and Process Engineering disciplines for technical execution of all engineering required for the development and manufacturing of missile hardware. 

The position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do

• Perform direct line management activities and provides leadership for approximately 15-20 engineers within this technical group.

• Provide technical oversight of CRADs, IRADs, projects and program support, as well as technical development of people, training, performance management, Radar Cross Section (RCS) measurement range management, and resource allocation.

• Perform individual contributor workload in the leader’s subject matter discipline.

• Team with the Department Leader in the execution of Materials and Process Engineering, Hardware Engineering Discipline and Raytheon Engineering goals. 

• Ensure two-way communication for section members; serve as the day-to-day liaison to the programs concerning employee job assignments, performance, and recognition.

• Responsibilities also include coordinating program staffing needs and reductions, optimizing resource utilization, and interviewing applicants.

• Provide Materials and Process Engineering support to program’s product life cycle (design reviews, gate reviews, Material Review Board, Change Control Board, Process Change Board, and engineering peer reviews). 

• Provide oversight to ensure the accuracy of technical output of each assignment based on data and analyses. 

• Interface with other organizations across the Raytheon Enterprise such as Mission Assurance & Quality, Operations, Reliability, and Supply Chain. 

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Signature Management & Technology (Low Observables)

• Experience with Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM)

• Experience performing RCS measurement/testing, prediction, and/or design

• Experience in prior leadership roles (frontline or project leader, experience leading teams)

• Experience in military, aerospace, or similar Department of Defense applications or environments

Qualifications We Value
