Summary:

Growing, multi-facility manufacturing organization is actively interviewing for an Engineering Manager to lead project and manufacturing engineers. This individual will drive capital projects, improve fabrication and assembly processes, and standardize engineering practices to support scalable production and long-term operational reliability. The role works closely with Operations, Quality, Safety, and Maintenance teams to improve throughput, reduce waste, optimize plant layouts, and support facility expansion initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop project and manufacturing engineers across multiple facilities.
  • Establish consistent engineering expectations, performance standards, and development plans.
  • Oversee engineering projects from concept through completion, including equipment purchases, facility construction, and expansions.
  • Develop, standardize, and improve fabrication and assembly processes (cutting, forming, welding, material handling).
  • Identify waste and bottlenecks; implement Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma improvements.
  • Evaluate equipment needs and support capital justification, selection, and implementation of machinery and automation.
  • Drive improvements in takt time, labor utilization, workflow layouts, and production planning methods.
  • Develop and manage capital budgets across multiple facilities.
  • Prepare and present regular project and facility status reports.
  • Partner daily with Operations, Quality, Safety, and Maintenance teams.
  • Lead preventive maintenance engineering efforts and support equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Analyze and resolve root causes of manufacturing issues.
  • Provide technical product support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.


Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience leading capital projects and facility improvements.
  • Strong background in process improvement and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar modeling software.
  • Familiarity with fabrication processes (welding, CNC, steel preferred).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
