Job Title : Nuclear Engineer (Naval Reactors Engineer) Category / Component : Officer • Active Overview Design, regulate, and oversee the Navy's nuclear propulsion program, including reactor design, fleet operations, and eventual defueling and decommissioning of nuclear powered ships and submarines from Naval Reactors Headquarters and associated Department of Energy laboratories and shipyards.

Job PurposeManage and improve production line productivity and quality relative to cutting tool designs to achieve manufacturing characteristic improvements.
Key Accountabilities- Lead tool budget creation, control, and analysis to evaluate cutting tool budget
- Lead/coordinate daily engineering support troubleshooting tooling problems to achieve quality, cost and delivery targets; develop and maintain tools, tool drawings and holder

Job Purpose
Support department and plant environmental regulatory compliance (CAA, CWA, RCRA, EPCRA, SWPPP,SPCC) and sustainability performance (energy/water/waste resource reduction and efficiency) programs through data analysis, program development and execution, facilitation and promotion, in alignment with regulatory requirements, plant business plan, and company direction to ensure environmental compliance and to achieve environmental targets.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead dept & support plant environmental communication and collaboration for awareness of status, benchmarking, critical issue escalation, initiation of necessary action items and promotion/ diffusion of environmental programs.
- Develop and implement dept & plant processes to comply with environmental regulations/Honda standards. Support implementation of plant standards.
- Develop, manage, and implement department Environmental business plan themes and projects, support plant Environmental Business Plan Themes and projects, track, and report department performance metrics by applying PDCA to reduce risk and improve environmental characteristics.
- Develop energy, water and waste targets, analyze data and trends for gaps, report on results, implement countermeasures to mitigate gaps. Identify and implement improvement ideas and projects to reduce Honda’s environmental impact.
- Draft and implement department & plant environmental procedures and methods to meet government regulations and company standards as well as other environmental obligations.
- Act as liaison between dept and plant environmental team for dept projects and change points to ensure environmental policy and direction is implemented and achieved.
- Create and perform environmental training content and assign/track department & plant training requirements to improve associate competence.
- Support the development and deployment of data management systems to efficiently track and manage environmental compliance/performance.
- Coordinate assigned contractor SOW(s) (Scope of Work) (e.g. waste management, wastewater operations, water treatment operations, stack testing, consultants, utilities) to support environmental strategies/requirements and ensure ongoing contractor performance.
- Perform and document environmental compliance activities (sampling, checks and inspections) per plant and department procedures related to compliance with CAA, CWA, RCRA, EPCRA, SWPPP, SPCC regulations to fulfill recordkeeping requirements, reporting obligations and company objectives
- Conduct performance inspections(energy, water, waste and data) to identify gaps and opportunities for improvements in the environmental program, ; support ISO 14001 audits, compliance audits and support external audits (government agencies, third party ISO Auditors and RO-Regional Operations Auditors) of the department to ensure Honda's Environmental program is accurately represented.
- Coordinate and implement timely department countermeasures addressing environmental audit & compliance gaps to ensure effectiveness of environmental program.
- Develop capability of self, colleagues, and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences in area of technical expertise and understanding for succession planning and team growth.

Job PurposeThe Electrical Controls Design role provides high-quality, reasonably priced, on-time hardware, software,and safety design solutions to ensure stable new model and new technology introduction in all HDMANorth American manufacturing facilities.
Key Accountabilities- Work in an engineering team atmosphere, understand design requirements to create/modify automated production equipment.
- Conduct electrical controls design for automated equipment to generate hardware drawings to be used to assemble/build/wire a full controls system for production equipment

- Provide on-site support to install, system up, and mature the control system for production equipment.

Job PurposeControls Engineer responsible for planning and implementation to upgrade existing and install new building controls utilizing self, team, and contractor abilities. Design Mechanical systems, develop schedules, budgets and forecasts, select materials, equipment, project staff and contractors. Estimate costs, resources and time required to complete. Ensures controls architecture consistency between sites and analyzes technology trends. Includes focus on development and sustainability of the mechanical infrastructure (HVAC, Chillers, Air compressors, Utilities). Direct site building control related activities, through team members and contractors, to meet site needs (e.g. controls upgrade and replacements, programming optimization, standardization, and operations enhancements). Focus is to maximize cost efficiency and usability while minimizing risk to production and maintenance downtime. Job requires constant interaction with department's engineering and maintenance teams along with external customers and contractors.
This position will be joining the Facilities department in Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC’s (HDMA). The Facilities department is responsible for the building which includes new construction, remodels, utility management (electric, compressed air, natural gas, water), building maintenance, end-of-life equipment replacements and upgrades. The goal of the department is to create a facility that we are proud of and to serve our customers.
Key Accountabilities- Manage BMS/BAS(Building Management System/Building Automation Systems) specification, design, and operation. Develop and implement multiyear strategy to complete BMS migration. Collaborate with HDMA Facilities controls leaders to standardize a unified approach. Manage and oversee programming and work with IT networking team.
- Support operation of Facilities mechanical and electrical systems including but not limited to centrifugal fans, burners, cooling/heating coils, pumps, centrifugal air compressors, centrifugal chillers, heat exchangers, utilities, metering, communications. Manage and maintain documentation for the site Mechanical Systems. Communicate critical updates to site system operators.
- Implement new engineering strategies and technologies to replace facilities equipment and systems at their end of life (EOL)
- Lead meetings and negotiate with customers and contractors of all levels and capabilities. Build mutually beneficial relationships with customers and contractors.
Minimum Educational Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (in Mechanical, Controls or Electrical) or equivalent related controls experience
Minimum Experience
2+ years of relevant working experience in a Controls/Project Management/Facilities Capacity preferred

Job Purpose
Effectively lead multi-disciplinary facility electrical engineering projects with capabilities to implement and communicate an operational plan for completing a project, monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems, minimize delays, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the project. Project scope includes current situation assessment, design, coordination, electrical capacity, coordinate process demand with current infrastructure capacity. Productively manage workload to successfully complete end of life, new investment, and customer driven projects. Systemize, standardize, and simplify the electrical projects.
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to Lead/Support multidisciplinary facility projects and systems (PLC, variable speed drive, motors, arc-flash, etc.) by successfully performing electrical engineering responsibilities. Specialty topics may include, but not limited to electrical utilities (supply and distribution, lighting, fire detection and alarm, etc.) Work with contractors to verify that the design and construction meet specifications, code, and performance expectations. Monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems, minimize delays, identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the project.
Analyses current operating conditions and recommends new preventative and proactive methods for maintaining and monitoring facilities systems. Evaluates facility standards and practices to improve maintenance procedures and ensure optimal operational efficiency. Involved in business planning process and long-term investment planning. Participates in the planning and installation of new facility systems and provides knowledge of maintenance, repair, and operations for various infrastructure, equipment, and building disciplines.

- Utility Management – Manage utility infrastructure reliability, capacity, and safety. Assess utility capacity versus demand and analyze operational trends. Plan and execute necessary utility outage activities, including appropriate customer communication and support. - Budget Management -- Maintain organizational budgets for capital investment and expense activities, such as maintenance and repair of facility assets and contracted support services. Budget responsibilities include formulating requests, tracking expenditures, analyzing trends, and adjusting budgets to address business needs.
- Contract Management -- Arrange and manage appropriate contracted services support, as needed. Ensure all work meets or exceeds defined organization targets. Manage work to ensure all deliverables comply with associated contract documents, codes and regulations, industry standards, and Honda standards, as applicable.
- Maintenance Coordination -- Prepare and execute preventative maintenance programs to ensure operational health and optimum uptime for assigned infrastructure, equipment, and building assets.
- Operations Support -- Utilize technical knowledge of electrical utility and infrastructure systems, project management, analytical decision-making, risk assessment, and troubleshooting/problem solving, to support facilities-related operations in order to meet or exceed organization metrics.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-8+ years of related work experience based on education
- Strong subject matter knowledge of industrial electrical utility and infrastructure systems (electricity supply and distribution, lighting, fire detection and alarm, etc.), through design, construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities. Knowledge of building/campus facilities management and operations, including construction skilled trades.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license. Project management experience. Knowledge of building codes, governing regulations, and industry standards, such as NFPA, NEC, OSHA, EPA, and local building and utility-related codes. Knowledge of alternative energy sources, including solar and wind systems. Knowledge of industrial process equipment, including PLC, variable speed drive, and robotic systems. Experience with Maximo asset management system software. Electrical system modelling using SKM or similar program.
- Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills; customer focus (building productive relationships); Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, and AutoCad/Revit capabilities.

Job Purpose
Controls Engineer responsible for planning and implementation to upgrade existing and install new building controls utilizing self, team, and contractor abilities. Design Mechanical systems, develop schedules, budgets and forecasts, select materials, equipment, project staff and contractors. Estimate costs, resources and time required to complete. Ensures controls architecture consistency between sites and analyzes technology trends. Includes focus on development and sustainability of the mechanical infrastructure (HVAC, Chillers, Air compressors, Utilities). Direct site building control related activities, through team members and contractors, to meet site needs (e.g. controls upgrade and replacements, programming optimization, standardization, and operations enhancements). Focus is to maximize cost efficiency and usability while minimizing risk to production and maintenance downtime. Job requires constant interaction with department's engineering and maintenance teams along with external customers and contractors.
This position will be joining the Facilities department in Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC’s (HDMA). The Facilities department is responsible for the building which includes new construction, remodels, utility management (electric, compressed air, natural gas, water), building maintenance, end-of-life equipment replacements and upgrades. The goal of the department is to create a facility that we are proud of and to serve our customers.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage BMS/BAS(Building Management System/Building Automation Systems) specification, design, and operation. Develop and implement multiyear strategy to complete BMS migration. Collaborate with HDMA Facilities controls leaders to standardize a unified approach. Manage and oversee programming and work with IT networking team.
- Support operation of Facilities mechanical and electrical systems including but not limited to centrifugal fans, burners, cooling/heating coils, pumps, centrifugal air compressors, centrifugal chillers, heat exchangers, utilities, metering, communications. Manage and maintain documentation for the site Mechanical Systems. Communicate critical updates to site system operators.
- Implement new engineering strategies and technologies to replace facilities equipment and systems at their end of life (EOL)
- Lead meetings and negotiate with customers and contractors of all levels and capabilities. Build mutually beneficial relationships with customers and contractors.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (in Mechanical, Controls or Electrical) or equivalent related controls experience
Minimum Experience
2+ years of relevant working experience in a Controls/Project Management/Facilities Capacity preferred
2+ years working experience with control systems architecture and programming preferred

Job Purpose
Minimizing supplier quality issues using root cause analysis, implementing temporary solutions and permanent countermeasures to ensure minimal line impact and optimal product quality. Using a regional viewpoint, work with assigned suppliers toward continuous improvement of manufacturing characteristics. Support collaborative problem resolution between HDMA and suppliers
Key Responsibilities
- Approve part/process changes for design changes and non-design changes.
- Approve/confirm Supplier root cause analysis, development of countermeasures and implementation.
- Perform data analysis, prioritize top impact issues and drive supplier characteristic improvement activities.
- Oversee and manage problem-solving analysis and investigations.
- Coordinate supplier countermeasure activities to provide an effective solution.
- Communicate with suppliers and other departments in regard to countermeasures.
- Build technical, Honda Way, and Department knowledge
Qualifications, Skills, & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Technical Design), 2-year tech degree with equivalent related experience or 6 years of relevant experience if no degree.
- 0-6 years of experience based on education, preferred at least 1 term as a co-op for Honda or in a similar manufacturing environment.
- Quality assurance, blueprint reading, part measurement, Catia/3D, MS office proficient, negotiation and communication skills
Decisions Expected
- Part review to confirm dimensional accuracy to the drawling or spec.
- Production impact (possible line stoppage) based on the impact of any given part issue.
- One-way best-way, how to ensure proper quality confirmation, countermeasure and change point control.

About this Position:
An Equipment Service Technician at Honda Development and Manufacturing of America maintains, repairs, and implements improvements to various types of manufacturing equipment which allows the manufacturing areas achieve their safety, quality, and production targets.
Responsibilities include:
- Respond to equipment emergency downtime, troubleshoot for the root cause of the failure, and repair as needed in a timely manner
- Perform preventive maintenance activity both during production and non-production time
- Document daily activity in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo)
- Support weekend maintenance activity
- Complete assigned work orders when not responding to emergency downtime
- Support scheduled maintenance activity during plant shutdowns
- Attend all required training as well as self-develop skills
- Support any equipment installations, removal, and demo as required
Who we are seeking:
Required Work Experience:
- A minimum of three months of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment with a 2 year technical degree.
- Or a minimum of two years of relevant experience, if no degree.
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Desired skills:
- Multi-craft technical skills: Electrical, mechanical, automation, programmable logic controller logic, robotics, computer numerical control, hydraulics, pneumatics, and general maintenance
- Ability to read and understand various technical drawings & blueprints
- Effective time management skills

Job PurposeEffectively lead multi-disciplinary facility electrical engineering projects with capabilities to implement and communicate an operational plan for completing a project, monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems, minimize delays, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the project. Project scope includes current situation assessment, design, coordination, electrical capacity, coordinate process demand with current infrastructure capacity. Productively manage workload to successfully complete end of life, new investment, and customer driven projects. Systemize, standardize, and simplify the electrical projects.
Key Accountabilities•Electrical Engineering– Specify and evaluate the equipment and installation for all electrical equipment. Evaluate drawings, teach, and train other discipline engineers on electrical specialty. Assess electrical capacity versus current demand. Evaluate end of life and innovate new characteristic changes on all electrical infrastructure.
•Support operation of Facilities electrical systems including but not limited to generators, electrical panels, busways, transformers, breakers, and lighting and controls. Manage and maintain documentation for the site Electrical Systems. Communicate critical updates to site system operators
•Utility Outages – Coordinate all power outages with internal departments, contractors, and outside entities as required. Issue electrical schedules to affected customer and receive approval to proceed. Schedule contract work and equipment service support to complete each power outage.
•Support development of maintenance & investment budgets for the department electrical equipment and projects.
•Simplex (life safety) Expert – Coordinate all life safety work with life safety expert, Simplex. Provide feedback to Simplex on performance and required areas for improvement. Evaluate project progress and identify areas for improvement. Coordinate life safety work with electrical contractor, equipment service, customer department, County inspector to ensure work is complete without impacting SQCEDM categories.
•Project Management - Work with internal customers and external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to develop initial concept, specifications, design drawing review, procurement scope, fabrication / construction, and installation-related documents.
Minimum Educational Qualifications
