  • Ability to perform all T3 tasks

  • Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including:

  • Performs standard vehicle maintenance

  • Performs preventive maintenance

  • Performs complex repairs with minimal (if any) support.

  • Demonstrate the ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents

  • Diagnoses and repairs complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal (if any) support, utilizing diagnostic computers/software when applicable.

  • Performs remote triage to with RCRC and customers to determine best solution to assist roadside breakdowns.

  • Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task.

The Role We Want You For

The Scheduling And Planning Manager builds and maintains the project schedule and the different baselines in accordance with Clayco's policies, owner requirements, and the on-going analysis of the network logic and validation as it complies with the intent of the project team. Periodic progress updates of in-progress schedules. Collection of all pertinent data required to update the schedule. The Scheduler is responsible for collection of update data from multiple sources, including the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Owners Representatives and subcontractors. All update data shall be approved by the Project Manager prior to incorporation into the schedule.

Maintenance of Project Schedule Baselines. Maintains Project Schedule Baselines in accordance with Clayco's policy regarding Baselines and any additional requirements the Owner's contracts may include.

Periodic Performance Report Generation. Generation of project specific Performance Reports as well as Clayco Standard reports, including but not limited to: Critical Activities Report, Baseline Deviation Report, Earned Value Performance Index Report and Project Cash Flow Report.

Cost and Resource Loading of Schedules. Required at a minimum on all Clayco projects to include the Clayco Metrics Resource Set for project staff and General Conditions. As required by the project, updating cost and resource actuals may be required as part of the periodic progress update process.

Network Logic Analysis and Validation. On-going analysis of the network logic and validation that it complies with the intent of the project team and that it complies with the Clayco Standard Guidelines for network logic. The network logic on-going analysis shall also include removal of extraneous and superfluous dependencies that may cause errors in calculating total float and criticality.

Assist in preparation of Monthly Schedule Reporting. Preparation of the required reports for the project and shall include assisting with the draft of the Monthly Schedule Narrative.

Summary of the position:
The Assembler position requires an individual to perform several duties as defined within the Assembly family.
This position is located at Hitachi Global Air Power in Michigan City, Indiana, and reports to the Value Stream Leader.
Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assemble compressors in assigned area using Work Center Instructions (WCI), Piping & Instrumentation instructions (P&I), Wiring Diagram (WD) and Bill of Material (BOM) and assembly drawings.
  • Apply decals to machines, as needed.
  • Utilize Andon signals per guidelines.
  • Measure, cut, bend, fit small tubing to machine. Install tubing and fittings using hyferset.
  • Install foam insulation on tubing and controls.
  • Install heat trace tape to tubing and controls AND/OR bend large tubing with power bender per print or custom fit (Industrial).
  • Assemble frames in assigned area, per BOM, or WCI.
  • Assemble separator tanks in assigned area, using BOM, P&I or WCI.
  • Assemble components to engines in assigned area, per BOM or WCI.
  • Connect motor leads and connectors to power source per WD and BOM.
  • Wire machines or packages, terminating wire harnesses or basic wiring in assigned area, per WD.

  • Assemble mounted or remote cooler packs in assigned area, per BOM, WCI, WD and P&I.
  • Terminate wiring for controls, basic panels, fan motors, etc. in assigned area, per WD and P&I.

Qualifications:
Education:
  • High School education or equivalent and a minimum of two years year post high school training/experience.

Professional experience:

  • Minimum of five years' previous manufacturing assembly required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Basic reading skills necessary to perform the functions of the job.
  • Mechanical assembly ability, ability to read simple blueprints, wiring diagrams/drawings preferred.
  • Prior forklift experience or completion of forklift training preferred.
  • Working with various hand and pneumatic tools and various measuring tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Knowledge of basic electricity and wiring diagrams/drawings.

Job Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Properly select, align and secure work holding. Must be able to improvise setups using common tooling such as risers, angle plates etc.
  • Monitor and/or develop speed, feed, depth or angle of cut during machining operations.
  • Must observe machine operation to predict or detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining conditions and adjust machine controls /control media as required.
  • Verify that all machined details meet print and router specifications, using precision measuring instruments and recording data results. Responsible to ensure first piece inspection is completed for multiple piece runs.
  • Monitor and maintain proper cleanliness of machine and work area on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of trade school, vocational education or apprenticeship
  • A minimum of three to five years of CNC machining experience
  • General machining knowledge, shop math, precision measuring instruments, blueprint reading and GD&T
  • Part and tool probing
  • Experience with high speed machining preferred (16 - 27k RPM)
  • Some openings may require specialized experience with particular machining processes or equipment
  • Experience with Siemens 840D Control software a plus

Requirements
