What You'll Actually DoYou'll embed with our project management and field teams on active construction projects. The goal is simple: teach you how projects really work, from bid day to final closeout. Here's what that looks like day-to-day:
▸ Assist project managers with budgeting, scheduling, and production tracking
▸ Track and log change orders — learn how scope changes move through a project
▸ Verify field quantities for billing and help prepare pay applications
▸ Coordinate with subcontractors on scheduling and deliverables
▸ Perform plan takeoffs and attend pre-bid meetings with estimators
▸ Support project closeout activities — punch lists, final documentation, as-builts
▸ Spend time on job sites understanding how plans translate to dirt, concrete, and pipe
▸ Learn how to set up GPS / stringless equipment
Required:
▸ Currently pursuing a BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
▸ Ability to read construction plans and specifications
▸ Strong math and analytical skills
▸ Clear written and verbal communication
▸ Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites
▸ Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

As a Senior Preconstruction Engineer, you will drive the bidding process for construction projects by crafting precise conceptual and hard dollar estimates, developing proposals, and managing subcontractor bids. The Specifics of the Role

- Quantity Take-Offs: Perform detailed quantity take-offs for specific scopes of work to support accurate estimating.
- Subcontractor Management: Oversee the solicitation process for subcontractor bids, build and nurture relationships with subcontractors, and maintain a comprehensive master list of subcontractors/vendors.
- Bid Evaluation: Prepare and analyze Bid Evaluation sheets to ensure competitive and fair bidding processes.
- Schedule and Conditions Review: Evaluate project schedules, assist in drafting General Conditions, and contribute to the final assembly of estimates for presentation to owners.
- Handoff and Support: Facilitate a seamless transition of estimates, bid information, drawings, and specifications to Project Management, and assist Project Managers with contract negotiations, change orders, and other project needs.
- Historical Data Management: Develop and maintain historical data on unit prices to inform future estimating and bidding processes.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Rooming patients, including:
- Collecting pertinent information related to chief complaint, family history, social history, surgical history, and medication reconciliation
- Telephone interactions, including:
- Communicating with patients, families, pharmacies, and other healthcare facilities
- Gathering and maintaining patient information per department policies and workflows
- Administrative support, including but not limited to:
- Patient check-in and check-out
- Scheduling appointments
- Prior authorizations
- Benefits verification
- Coordination of referrals and diagnostic testing
- Clinical and office procedures, as directed and per department competencies, including:
- Urine catheterizations and bladder scanning
- Suture and staple removal
- Application and removal of casts (per provider direction)
- Point-of-care diagnostic testing
- Reading negative TB skin tests and escalating potential positive results to nursing staff
- Patient education, including:
- Providing written instructions related to procedures, medications, and follow-up care
- Retrieving condition-specific education materials per provider orders
- Medication support, including:
- Administering medications and injections per provider orders
- Assisting with prescription refills, calling medications into pharmacies, notifying patients, and documenting actions in the EMR
- Clinical support and competencies, including:
- Taking and documenting vital signs
- Medication reconciliation
- Processing lab specimens and point-of-care testing
- Stocking exam rooms and maintaining equipment
- Chaperoning providers during exams and procedures
- Maintaining department-specific competencies and specialty training

The compensation range for this position is $18.33per hour - $29.69per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. Opportunity Details
- Carle's Audiology department offers diagnostic and rehabilitation services including adult and pediatric audiologic evaluation, vestibular evaluation and treatment, central auditory processing evaluations, and hearing aid evaluation and fitting
- Full range audiology practice including patients from birth to geriatrics, with large focus on pediatric patients
- Schedule will be Mon – Fri, 8 AM – 5 PM
- Communication and meetings with device reps
- Train and precept audiology students
Education/Clinical Experience Requirements:
- Doctorate or Master's degree in Audiology
- Experience with hearing aids, implantable technology/devices, and balance evaluations preferred

- Applicants must receive their AHSA certification within 1 year after employment
