Job Overview:
You will collaborate closely with our engineering and production teams, serving as the subject matter expert for our control’s platform. In this role, you will support our service technicians in the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and retrofitting of PLC-based control systems utilized in hydraulic and servo-electric presses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control System Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair PLC-based press control systems, hydraulic motion control circuits, and servo systems.
- Installation & Commissioning: Install, configure, and commission control systems for hydraulic and servo electric presses, ensuring proper integration of PLCs and peripherals
- Retrofits & Upgrades: Assist in modernizing hydraulic press controls, upgrading outdated PLCs, HMIs, motion controllers, and hydraulic servo systems for improved performance and automation.
- Field Service & Customer Support: Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting for hydraulic and servo electric press controls, minimizing downtime, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Programming & Debugging: Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC logic, HMI screens, motion control programs, and press automation sequences.
- Preventive Maintenance & Optimization: Conduct control system inspections and hydraulic system tuning to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain service reports, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and software backups for customer and internal records.

You will act as the Staff Mechanical Engineering Owner’s Representative with technical expertise for mechanical engineering issues, design management of in-house and outside resources, code compliance, Disney design standards, documentation, specifications, and life cycle cost analysis for best value. This role also involves close collaboration with other engineering disciplines and multiple Disney project teams including FAM, WDI, Entertainment, and Operations.
You will report to the Senior Manager for MEP Engineering with DLR Architecture & Facilities Engineering.
What You Will Do
Act as Owner’s Representative on projects from concept through construction at the Disneyland Resort. Project types will include shops, rides, hotels, shows, maintenance facilities, and nearly any built facility and area development found on our property.
Manage the design and development of contract documents of projects with in-house and outside resources to meet project scopes, schedules and budgets.
Develop concepts and Request for Proposals (RFP)s.
Attend, participate, and problem solve during site visits from concept through construction.
Review drawings and specifications and ensure that all projects are designed and executed to applicable codes and statutes
Work with stakeholders to provide civil engineering resources to develop project scope including design, planning and code compliance for estimation and feasibility.
Resolve design issues creatively and thoroughly coordinating design with other disciplines.
Develop clear technical analyses and recommend frameworks to inform executive review and approval.
Partner with internal teams to develop, maintain, communicate, and enforce Walt Disney Company design guidelines, standards, master specifications, and details.
As the owner's representative, you'll review with a focus on constructability, efficiency, and long-term maintainability.
Liaison with City officials and external agencies to ensure project scope and implementation is coordinated and compliant with external requirements.
Research Record Drawings in Disneyland Archives.
Perform field work to investigate and assess mechanical related infrastructure in the Resort.
Independently review new and existing design drawings and calculations.
Review shop drawing submittals and respond to vendor requests for information per Resort standards.
Coordinate design activities and monitor field installations and demolition work that comply with specifications and code requirements.
Perform reviews of existing infrastructure: propose upgrades and replacements, present findings and recommendations.
Serve as Engineer of Record on assigned projects, including signing and sealing construction documents when required.
Design with focus on constructability, efficiency, and long-term maintainability.
Expedite the receipt of sample submittals required for final design approval.
Participate in weekly design coordination meetings and prioritize items to minimize schedule impacts.
Assist Project and Design Managers to resolve design compliance issues relating to Projects requirements. Validate that all Item Specifications are consistent with products installed before archiving manuals.
Support Executive Design Reviews by contributing technical content, analysis, and coordination as requested by Project or Design Management.
What We Look For
10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design, HVAC/DX/VRF/CHW applications, central plant development and operational guidance, hydraulics, hydronics, compressed air, overall kitchen designs and implementation.
Ability to support project partners in procurement and construction.
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, ACC, and other engineering-based software.
Working knowledge of both National and Local Standards and Codes.
Required Education and Licensure
BS Mechanical Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited university.
Current registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California in good standing.

Job Details Key Responsibilities Product & Process Support Ensure product designs align with engineering best practices, internal standards, and customer requirements.
Collaborate with Procurement and Quality teams to maintain safety, compliance, and product quality.
Support the release of new drawings, specification updates, and process changes by working with internal and customer technical teams.
Assist with Corrective Action Reports (CARs), including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions or rework.
Partner with Engineering, Production Supervisors, and Suppliers to identify and implement product and process improvements.
Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Champion Lean manufacturing principles across the organization.
Help design and improve workflows that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high quality.
Support the layout, design, and optimization of manufacturing cells.
Participate in Kaizen events, process mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and maintain standard work instructions, visual aids, and process documentation.
Track, analyze, and report results from Lean initiatives, including productivity gains and cost savings.
Operational Support Provide day‑to‑day engineering support to help meet production schedules and output goals.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure on‑time delivery to customers.
Identify production challenges and support efforts to eliminate bottlenecks and process constraints.
Assist with tracking and analyzing key performance indicators such as inventory levels, lead times, and delivery performance.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (internships and co‑ops count).
Experience with sewing or textile‑based manufacturing is a plus.
Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SYSPRO) preferred.
Qualifications & Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD; able to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Working knowledge of Lean tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, and standard work.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including root cause analysis.
Comfortable working with technical data and applying mathematical concepts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) and exposure to solid modeling tools.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Clear and effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills; comfortable working across departments.

Role Description
PARPRO Technologies, a Contract Manufacturer of electronic assemblies and PCBAs in Santa Ana, CA for over 40 years, has an immediate need for a take-charge Program Manager with strong knowledge and experience in account management and the electronics industry.
Applicants must be familiar with all aspects of the manufacturing cycle, including contract review, procurement, production, test as needed, and quality assurance for both NPI and repeat projects.
As the day-to-day contact for specific customers, multi-tasking, computer literacy and smooth communications both internally and with your customers is a must. A technical degree is desirable.
