Job Title : Nuclear Engineer (Naval Reactors Engineer) Category / Component : Officer • Active Overview Design, regulate, and oversee the Navy's nuclear propulsion program, including reactor design, fleet operations, and eventual defueling and decommissioning of nuclear powered ships and submarines from Naval Reactors Headquarters and associated Department of Energy laboratories and shipyards.

Qualifications: 1.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
A Master’s degree will be considered an asset.

Proficient in design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar.

Project management and supervision skills.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, manufacturing, and construction, to ensure seamless project planning and execution.
Provide technical expertise and support to project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Education: BS or MS in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Qualifications: 1.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in developing processes and budget estimates for large scale industrial projects (i.e.
installation of new manufacturing/production lines).
3.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
5.
Proficient in relevant software and tools related to engineering and project management.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full-time position.
Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m., with extended or flexible hours possible to support production demands.
Travel Commitment: A successful candidate must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time to various domestic job sites and Headquarters, if the candidate does not currently reside in or relocate to the Central Alabama area.
Travel will be essential for on-site assessments, collaboration with DMC project teams, and ensuring the successful implementation of modular construction processes.
