Responsibilities

The Fabrication Process Engineer is essential in the development, optimization, and implementation of processes for fabricating nanoscale electro-optic devices using techniques like physical vapor deposition, electro-optic polymer coating, atomic layer deposition (ALD), photolithography, and reactive ion etching within a cleanroom environment. This role involves formulating polymer solutions, performing precise photolithography, characterizing nanostructures, and maintaining advanced fabrication tools. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes while ensuring adherence to safety and cleanroom protocols, making significant contributions to the advancement of electro-optic technology.


Responsibilities


  • Formulate the electro-optic polymer solutions and spin coat it on devices followed by a baking procedure.
  • Perform photolithography to pattern hard masks including metals, dielectrics, semiconductors and polymer films for etching.
  • Characterize etched nanostructure and devices, measure dimensions and roughness and interpret the results obtained by scanning electron microscope (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), focused ion beam (FIB) etching and SEM, (FIB-SEM), spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE), stylus and 3D optical profilers and optical microscopes.
  • Operate, maintain and troubleshoot fabrication tools such as maskless aligner (MLA), inductively coupled plasma – reactive ion etching (ICP-RIE) systems.
  • Develop etching processes on bare silicon, thermal and CVD oxides for nanostructure fabrication.
  • Optimize etching parameters by design of experiment (DOE) to improve the selectivity, uniformity and etched surface roughness of etching process.
  • Deposit metals, dielectrics, and semiconductors by E-beam evaporator and plasma sputtering.
  • Develop and optimize atomic layer deposition (ALD) techniques for dielectrics (such as metal oxides) and conductive materials.
  • Document work in detail and keep process travelers updated.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and leaders in all areas of the company.
  • Exhibit safety awareness, safe work practices, laboratory hygiene and cleanroom protocol compliance.

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) or Master’s degree (preferred) in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, applied science, or a related discipline.

At Big Bear Engine Company we specialize in medium and heavy duty diesel engine replacement for the construction, oil and gas, agriculture, over-the-road trucking, government and equipment rental industries. We offer both component built and remanufactured long block engines as well as related parts to businesses that have a down engine in the field. Our engines are found in variety of equipment including excavators, wheel loaders, skid steers, compactors, street sweepers, forklifts, wood chippers and more. Brands we specialize in are Caterpillar ®, Cummins ®, Detroit Diesel ®, John Deere ®, Mack ®, Komastu ® and Perkins ®. In addition to heavy duty engine replacement the job will also require interfacing with the light duty enthusiast market. These customers are hobbyists looking to drop a diesel engine into a classic car, hot-rod or rock crawler project. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of internal combustion engines, transmissions, fuel systems and ancillary parts however expert level skills are not required.

We offer an extensive training period which will help guide you through how to find the right replacement engine for the customer. Ideally this is a sales position first and we are looking for someone with a varied sales background, (a natural salesperson) vs. someone who may have worked in the automotive industry that isn't necessarily sales focused. We can teach product knowledge but we can't teach charisma and a natural Type-A personality. Once you get going you'll find taking diesel engine replacement calls is fairly straightforward and there is little pushback from the customer. Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Greenwood Village, Colorado.

Duties:

  • Lead WiFi firmware defect triage and deep log analysis across router and modem platforms
  • Investigate and resolve CPE quality and reliability incidents impacting WiFi performance
  • Develop detailed RCAs for firmware-related defects and customer-impacting issues
  • Support firmware readiness for major launches such as: WiFi 7, 6GHz enablement, new CPE platforms and DOCSIS 4.0 initiatives
  • Collaborate with CPE vendors to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and ensure quality delivery
  • Perform end-to-end troubleshooting across WiFi routers, DOCSIS CMs, CMTS/iCMTS infrastructure
  • Review and validate cable modem configuration files as part of defect isolation
  • Build and maintain network testing labs for firmware validation such as: switches, PDUs, modems and ONUs
  • Utilize Linux jump boxes for debugging, scripting, and secure remote access
