Job Description:

A well-established food manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations within a high-volume production facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of all production equipment and facility systems while implementing maintenance strategies that minimize downtime, maintain food safety standards, and maximize operational productivity.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintenance Leadership & Team Management

• Direct, mentor, and supervise the maintenance team while providing coaching and training to strengthen technical capabilities
• Establish maintenance priorities, assign tasks, and ensure proper staffing and coverage across production shifts
• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure strict adherence to company safety procedures and regulatory standards

Equipment Reliability & Maintenance Programs

• Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime
• Oversee the repair, troubleshooting, and installation of production equipment and facility systems
• Ensure the proper maintenance of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components across the facility

Operations & Performance Management

• Track and analyze key performance indicators such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to identify root causes of equipment failures and drive improvements
• Utilize CMMS systems to schedule maintenance, track work orders, maintain equipment histories, and manage spare parts inventory
• Partner with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to support efficient plant operations

Vendor & Contractor Coordination

• Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, services, and equipment installations
• Coordinate and oversee outside maintenance activities to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency

Compliance & Food Safety

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP requirements, OSHA regulations, and food safety standards
• Participate in internal and external audits to ensure maintenance records and procedures meet regulatory requirements

Budgeting & Capital Projects

• Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, including monitoring expenses related to parts, repairs, and contractors
• Lead capital projects involving equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and process optimization, including planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, and project timelines.

Continuous Improvement

• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, reliability, and cost control.
• Implement best practices such as Lean Manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within food manufacturing or a regulated production environment
• Prior management or supervisory experience leading maintenance teams
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and automated production lines
• Knowledge of electrical systems including 480V three-phase power
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management and equipment tracking
• Strong understanding of food safety and workplace safety regulations, including GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and FDA standards
• Experience in food manufacturing, specifically canned good
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance documentation systems
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
• Experience working with high-speed food production or packaging equipment
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and other continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience managing capital improvement or facility upgrade projects

The Sr. Process RSPC, Cheese & Powder Project Manager is responsible for managing and leading projects related to the RSPC's areas and the process manufacturing of our cheeses and powder products, from design to full implementation and support the plant production and quality operations. Working with Operations, Research and Development, the Project Manager will be responsible for optimizing the various production systems, which directly and indirectly support the manufacturing process by implementing new process or modifying actual process. Will be involved with existing and new processes in the company.

Travel will be required up to 75% of the time to plants based in NY, WI, CA, ID, NH, VT, AZ, TN & MI or to manufacturers/vendors site locations nationally and internationally.

Summary: Responsible for daily Production & Packaging Maintenance functions in support of the Plant including coordination and activities of all mechanics. This includes, but is not limited to, production/packaging areas and related equipment, warehouse areas, office areas, and grounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

1. Familiar with the manufacturing operation, equipment and support systems of the company and will set up

systems to respond to maintenance concerns regarding them.

2. Cooperate with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.

3. Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.

4. Responsible for setting up and managing systems for preventative maintenance for the manufacturing

operation.

5. Recruits and develops staff to provide the necessary skills to support the maintenance responsibilities for

the plant.

6. Continues to access skill levels and recommends developmental activities as appropriate.

7. Assesses systems for re-engineering or troubleshooting at both hands-on levels and engineering levels.

8. Participates actively as a member of plant management team. Provides necessary support for the other plant functions/activities as determined by the Assistant Maintenance Manager.

9. Continually evaluates the capabilities of the packaging & production Maintenance department relating to equipment, tools and other items necessary to provide a satisfactory level of service to the plant.

10. Recommend upgrades as appropriate.

11. Exercises project management responsibilities including coordination of contractor activities, communication to/among participants, budgeting and reporting if project has been delegated to them.

12. Continually analyzes spending with the Maintenance Manager/Plant Engineer. Ensure proper documentation is provided for justification.

13. Promotes employee relations within the department.

14. Proactively communicates and responds to employee questions and concerns.

15. Develop a variety of systems and methods to measure effectiveness of effort.

16. Continuously seeks new ways of improving performance and controlling costs.

17. Reports problems and/or concerns to the Assistant Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Manager, and/or Plant Engineer.

18. Plans and schedules manpower consistent with production requirements. Continuously evaluates manpower to attempt to reduce labor costs.

Requirements

Qualifications:

* Technical degree in Technical/Engineering discipline preferred.

* Dairy or other food related experience preferred.

* Attention to detail and accuracy in work required.

* Personal qualities of tact, dependability, and ability to work well with others required.

* Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.

* Knowledge of computer software.

* Ability to administrate Maintenance Department projects and run projects effectively with attention to budget and scope as assigned by Maintenance Management.

* Ability to assist Maintenance Manager/Assistant Manager in adherence to department budget issues.

Education and/or Experience:

* High School Diploma/GED required.

* Technical degree in Technical/Engineering discipline preferred.

• Field Installation and Commissioning: Oversee contractors and manage the field installation of processing systems. Ensure that equipment and workmanship meet or exceed project requirements, prepare reports, and manage change orders from start-up through commissioning.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests or Pre-Delivery Inspections at suppliers' sites as needed. Coordinate equipment start-up, commissioning, and training to ensure optimal performance.
• Safety Leadership: Promote and support safety protocols for contractors and team members on all projects.
• Flexibility: Be available for travel and extended or off-hours work as required by project demands.

• Join forces with SRE and development teams to find new and creative ways to reduce the occurrence of vulnerabilities at scale.
• Build repeatable/reusable security processes and frameworks.
• Review quality issues and work towards detecting security flaws both obvious and discrete.
• Assist with scoping prospective projects, participating in projects from kickoff through "definition of done" via end-to-end ownership.
• Use your industry experience to own and drive resolution and retest complex security events, policy questions and technical security risks.

Your experience should include...

• 7+ years of progressive security engineering experience across Security Architecture, Cryptography, Network, Cloud, Mobile, and Web Security.
• Skilled in Secure Development Lifecycle, Security by Design, and Shift Left methodologies.
• Proficient in Threat Modeling, Architecture Review, Penetration Testing, Code Review, SAST, and DAST.
• Strong scripting abilities in languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, and PowerShell.
• Adept at applying security best practices for compliance, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

You might also have...

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Hosting industry and/or cloud Experience.
• Experience in hardware security.
