Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking experienced Construction Managers / Traveling Superintendents to lead large-scale healthcare construction projects in Rochester, NY. This role is responsible for all on-site construction operations, safety oversight, schedule execution, and coordination of subcontractors and vendors.
The ideal candidate has strong experience managing $10M+ commercial healthcare construction projects, is well-versed in pull planning and the Last Planner System, and excels in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-site leader responsible for daily construction operations
- Champion jobsite safety and enforce the Site-Specific Safety Plan

Qualifications

This individual works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure estimates reflect true costs, realistic assumptions, and alignment with company capabilities and strategic objectives.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Estimating & Quoting
- Develop detailed cost estimates and customer quotations for:
- Injection molding tooling (prototype, bridge, and production tools)
- Non-recurring engineering (NRE) activities
- Fixtures, gauges, and auxiliary equipment
- Piece-part pricing for molded components
- Contract manufacturing opportunities, including automation, secondary operations, and packaging equipment
- Estimate material costs, cycle times, machine rates, labor hours, and overhead assumptions.
- Prepare cost breakdowns that clearly communicate assumptions, risks, and cost drivers.
- Support the Key Account Managers (KAMs) with new product introduction (NPI) initiatives along with sustaining programs by providing revised or updated quotes as required.
Technical & Business Assessment
- Evaluate RFQs and technical packages to determine:
- Technical feasibility
- Tooling complexity and risk
- Volume expectations and scalability
- Requirements for automation, secondary operations, and packaging processes

Telemetry Med-Surg – 2700
2700 is a telemetry medical-surgical unit. This is a 22-bed unit that cares for cardiac patients on telemetry monitoring. Diagnoses on this unit are primarily cardiac in nature, but the unit also cares for patients with a diverse variety of general medical illnesses. Because of this, our nurses develop a strong set of skills and knowledge that they can use to grow their careers throughout the acute care environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides high-quality, patient-centered clinical care
Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate data (i.e., physical, psychological, educational, and risk-screen data appropriate for the chronological/developmental age of the patient).
Communicates and documents the assessment of the patient with the interdisciplinary team. Utilizes all available resources to meet the needs of the patient and family.

As a step-down from the CTICU, the unit offers a consistent, specialized cardiac patient population with occasional overflow from cardiac medicine.
